When you launch with steam it does not run as admin, so the best thing to do would be to create a desktop shortcut to your GTAIV folder (which makes it easier and you don't have to navigate through you CDrive), and just launch as admin on LaunchGTAIV.exe

I have tried almost everything, I've had this problem for over half a year now. Nothing on google has helped me.

This file is usually not in my game directory, if you have xlive in your game the GFWL menu will not even come up. I've actually put the xlive file in my game just so I can play singleplayer LCPDFR. Thank you for the suggestion but I have already tried this.

Ok, so I can sign into the game from social club, but once I get into the game and enter the GFWL menu, I choose to download an account. It tries to download, but then it says "An update is available for LIVE, if you decline this update you will be signed out. Do you want to apply this update now?" I click yes and it says "Can't download the update. Make sure you are connected to the internet. If the problem persists go to gamesforwindows.com/support (which does not exist). Error Code: 0X80070002" This happens EVERY time and I've tried to fix this problem for some time now. I've done the advanced troubleshooting on the Rockstar Support Forums and I've re-installed GFWL over 10 times like both the Rockstar Support line people say to do, along with the MicroSoft Support people too. Any help is appreciated, I just want to play LCPDFR with friends.

I am Running patch 7, it's trying to update for GFWL not GTA IV itself. and I have (as I stated up above) uninstalled and re-installed GFWL on my PC 4 or 5 times. Thanks, but STILL NEED HELP

Every time I start up GTA IV, it says I have to sign into GFWL, (I don't know how I got signed out) and then when I try to download my profile, it says that I cannot sign in until I download a Games for Windows Live Update, and then when I click yes it says that I need to be connected to the internet which I am. I have uninstalled and re-installed GFWL, done all the steps correctly as rockstar has stated in this link https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/200145286-Advanced-Games-for-Windows-Live-Troubleshooting-for-GTA-IV-on-PC I've asked friends, got on Teamviewer, and even called Rockstar Support, nobody can find out what's wrong. Hello, I'd like to request models to be made of the Nevada Highway Patrol and the Carson City Sheriff's Office. These are my local agencies and I'd like to use them in-game. There is only textures for the Nevada Highway Patrol, however there is absolutely nothing made for the Carson City Sheriff's Office. I'd like for MODELS to be made because I have no idea on how to install textures. Here is a link to cars from both agencies. If you are using Windows XP then the mod will not work

It didn't work, I did a fresh install and manual LCPDFR install...

Hello everybody, I have recently just installed 1.0 with the Automatic installer, I would crash when going into the police department. Then I read that having customs peds will do that. So I got a fresh install from my clean backup. Then when I re-installed LCPDFR, pushing ALT + P or P did nothing. I just installed the trainer and now the game will not even load. It will say GTA IV Fatal Error. Can someone help?

Yes, there is a glitch in GTA Online where you can go to North Yankton, it requires you playing the prologue over again.

If someone could point me in the direction of some nice LC Police skins, I already have a skin I plan to use for Police 1, but I need 2 ELS v7 cars for the Police 2 and PolPatriot. These cars will be used for my clan. The last cars we had were apparently made for an earlier version of ELS and the didn't work properly. Thanks for reading and/or any help you can give me.
