Ok, so I can sign into the game from social club, but once I get into the game and enter the GFWL menu, I choose to download an account. It tries to download, but then it says "An update is available for LIVE, if you decline this update you will be signed out. Do you want to apply this update now?" I click yes and it says "Can't download the update. Make sure you are connected to the internet. If the problem persists go to gamesforwindows.com/support (which does not exist). Error Code: 0X80070002"

 

This happens EVERY time and I've tried to fix this problem for some time now. I've done the advanced troubleshooting on the Rockstar Support Forums and I've re-installed GFWL over 10 times like both the Rockstar Support line people say to do, along with the MicroSoft Support people too.

 

Any help is appreciated, I just want to play LCPDFR with friends.

Theres a file in your directory that you should take out. it should be near the bottom of it and its called xlive.dll

This file is usually not in my game directory, if you have xlive in your game the GFWL menu will not even come up. I've actually put the xlive file in my game just so I can play singleplayer LCPDFR. Thank you for the suggestion but I have already tried this.

I have tried almost everything, I've had this problem for over half a year now. Nothing on google has helped me.

Did you install the GTA IV and/or EFLC updates from the Rockstar website (just google "gta iv patch")?

I have installed the patch on my other computer and still nothing works it wont load my profile can anybody help out with this problem please! And I cannot find my xlive.dll file...
