CURRENT WORK IN PROGRESS
04/06/2013, 16:30 - It has been decided that the ladder will be changed to the 2011 Arrow XT. I'm already hard at work on it, tell me what you think!
01/06/2013, 10:00 - I had begun working on the "ladder", and when I took a closer look at the blueprints I realized something. On the webpage it said this was a Pierce Saber® Ladder. But according to the blueprints it is a Pierce Contender® QUINT. So, The information's been updated. I haven't gotten all that far so I need to know if you guys would rather have another ladder that's not so similar to CHFDCRAB's Pierce Quint. Please let me know!
28/05/2013, 20:56 - Hello everybody! In addition to the 2000 Pierce Dash Aerial, I would also like to announce that I am working on a pack of apparatus designed for use in a city. They're going to consist of an engine, rescue, ladder, ambulance, and command vehicle. Below are pictures of the trucks being modeled along with their progress statuses.
2011 PIERCE SABER® PUMPER
Progress: Currently modeling body. (55%)
2011 PIERCE SABER® NON WALK-IN RESCUE
Progress: Body Complete.
2011 PIERCE ARROW XT 100' HEAVY DUTY LADDER
Progress: Currently modeling body. (10%)
2009 FORD E-450 AMBULANCE
Progress: Touching up. (99.9%)
2008 FORD EXPEDITION
Progress: Body complete.
These are the exact trucks the blueprints are from; pulled directly off of the Pierce Manufacturing website. Feel free to leave feedback, ideas, suggestions and anything else. It's appreciated!

jmoney1095 reacted to WBRPDProductions in 2000 Pierce Dash Aerial [WIP]The truck is looking great Hilth0!
As for the skins, I was planning on making them myself but with that said, I was also going to include a bunch of different ones upon release. I know it's way into the future but let me know what you want to see come out.
@Statikzx - Thanks a lot. I can honestly say, I am equally surprised as to how the model is coming out. I only registered this program a week ago and I'm already this far. Although I wouldn't be anywhere without the help of everybody here. I suggest giving it a try. The programs only a measly $22 and if you know anything about drafting/engineering then it shouldn't be all that hard to get a hold of. To answer your question, I have no life at all. On weekdays I'll spend around 5-6 hours brainstorming and/or actually drawing it up. On Weekends I'll spend as much time I feel like until I'm tired of working. So probably another 5 or 6 hours combined. Don't expect to be waiting months and months for the finished product. We're working as hard as we can.

jmoney1095 reacted to WBRPDProductions in 2000 Pierce Dash Aerial [WIP]Just to set things straight:
Yes I will be adding a new LED package.
This is going to be a Tower/Aerial, whatever you prefer. It is going to resemble the picture on the right.
For everybody offering to help, we appreciate it and If we experience any trouble in those fields we will be sure to contact you.
Thanks for your support!

jmoney1095 reacted to WBRPDProductions in 2000 Pierce Dash Aerial [WIP]Appreciate the help and suggestions. I know I kind of already asked this before, but I really feel like I'm doing something wrong. Right now my model is all one big piece. In other words, everything is attached together. It is supposed to be like that? I want to be sure before I go any further with this. I just downloaded a light bar just to play around with it and it was broken up into different pieces where there would be different textures. Was I supposed to do the same for things like the door handles, bumper, headlights, etc. Someone please brief me on the "texture applying" part. I'm clueless, thanks guys.

jmoney1095 got a reaction from WBRPDProductions in 2000 Pierce Dash Aerial [WIP]The first rotoray is on the crimson Spartan Gladiator, but there isn't going to be one on this truck because to the best of my knowledge there is no way to get them to spin, so its really just there to ding your head on... plus we don't think they would look very good on this truck. There will be LED lights, however, as WBRPD previously stated.

jmoney1095 reacted to WBRPDProductions in 2000 Pierce Dash Aerial [WIP]Day 3:
@stevenew95 I was sure planning on mounting new LED lights. I had something similar to your video in mind. I am either going to have just the two in the front, or add two more behind them facing sideways. But I saw how the truck in the video had two in the very back of the cab, I think that it would just look weird with this model.
@Sasrical, @Andre Amorim, @srgt.scales I appreciate you all wanting to help with the cause, although I already have a few people lined up to do beta testing when the time comes. If I do need anymore people for anything I will be sure to contact you first.
I have come across another question. Is it possible to "glue" an already created object like a light bar to the truck without connecting the vertices? I'm sure there's an easier way, that's why I'm asking. Thanks.

jmoney1095 reacted to WBRPDProductions in 2000 Pierce Dash Aerial [WIP]Today's progress:
One question: Right now everything is attached as one "face." When the time comes, how am I supposed to add the textures if it's all one giant face? Was I supposed to make it a seperate "part?" Thanks in advance.

Greetings fellow modders and GTA enthusiasts:
I am here to announce that I will be working hard to create a 2000 Pierce Dash Aerial for GTA IV. I have created numerous 'Fire Dept.' related modifications before but nothing more than just simple textures or sirens. As I'm sure you've noticed, all of the new vehicle mods that are coming out now in days seem to consist of CVPIs, CVPIs and more CVPIs. If you know anything about me or have seem any of my YouTube videos you know I'm defentily more interested in the 'Fire' side of things. That's why I am super determined to create something new and different to please myself and the small audience of people that are just like me.
I am completely new to ZModeler2. Infact, I only registered it today. Yes, I know what you're thinking, but don't worry. I am willing to learn everything I need to know inorder to make this a reality and I am hoping that I can count on all of your guys' help too. At the moment I am still watching tutorials so I at least have the basics to this program down.
Here is a picture of the rig I am working on creating. Although, I am making a few changes including a new LED lighting package. Feel free to suggest other stuff that would improve it as well. If I'm going to put the time into making this I am going to do it right. I'm not saying it's going to be easy but it's going to be worth it in the end.
If you know of any good tutorials or have any good advice of your own I'd really appreciate it. In addition, if anybody knows of any exitsing parts (i.e. Federal-Q, Bell, Lights etc.) that you wouldn't mind sharing I'd be more than happy to give you credit.
Please leave your feedback, thanks!

jmoney1095 reacted to Cop_21 in What do you want to see more of in LCPDFR?More variety in calls, the game has lots and lots of available audio to make more and all sorts of calls.
I'll put some here with the audio name and what could happen:
1. CRIM_A_FIREARM_ATTACK_ON_A_OFFICER
When you arrive on scene there's a shotout between 1 police car (Not sure if it's random if 2 cops or 1 appear but it would be better to be 1 alone) and some armed suspects. After the suspects are out the call is over.
2. CRIM_A_KNIFE_ASSAULT_ON_A_OFFICER
A suspect armed with a knife stabbing an officer or at least an officer near.
3. Why is the mugging call "Shots fired" when there's a mugging audio? Change to this one CRIM_A_MUGGING
4. CRIM_A_ROBBERY_AT
This one would be on a Burgershot for example, a laundry cleaner, whatever, even a bank. Armed suspects are inside the building and heavily armed depending on the case (if it's a fast food restaurant, a deagle or something, if it's a bank, some AK-47's.
5. CRIM_A_SHOOTOUT
Self-explanatory. Sometimes it could be LCPD vs. GANG or GANG1 vs. GANG2.
6. CRIM_A_DOMESTIC_DISTURBANCE
This one could be on a house with a man and woman fighting (random) or even 2 homosexuals since there are lots of rainbow peds in GTA / EFLC
7. CRIM_A_DRUNKEN_BRAWL
2 suspects fighting each other outside a bar, one could be armed with a knife.
8. CRIM_A_SERIOUS_MVA
Several cars damaged, FD and EMS already on scene or you gotta call them (2 different chances to happen)
9. CRIM_RIDING_A_MOTORCYCLE_WITHOUT_A_HELMET
Again, self-explanatory. Most pedestrians don't actually use a helmet so just spawn a bike with a random ped.
10. CRIM_AN_OFFICER_IN_NEED_OF_ASSISTANCE
This may happen while in a pursuit, in a shootout or (to be more creative) suspect pickup.
11. CRIM_SUSPECIOUS_ACTIVITY
In a more hidden place, there are for example 2 suspects talking, or a car with a man and a prostitute inside.
12. The following audio names will all be to respond to a fleeing car:
CRIM_A_SPEEDING_FELONY
CRIM_A_STOLEN_VEHICLE
CRIM_A_TRAFFIC_VIOLATION
CRIM_SPEEDING
CRIM_A_RECKLESS DRIVER
CRIM_A_GRANDTHEFTAUTO
CRIM_A_HIT_AND_RUN
CRIM_A_CIVILIAN_RUNNING_A_RED_LIGHT
When ordered to pull over the suspect may or may not pull over.
13. And much much more of all those kinds.
Also, give more options for the user, for example the user may chose a name avaiable from the POLICE CAR NAME AND NUMBER
Perhaps in the ini. file.
For example:
I chose Tom 62. In the game when I receive a call the dispatch says "Tom 62 dispatch to [CRIMES] in [sTREETS] if it

jmoney1095 reacted to Darkangel in What do you want to see more of in LCPDFR?would be cool if you pull some one over once you get out or some thing random times they will shoot at you. What else would be sick if you can call in for spikes so if you chasing some one they run over a spike strip it will flat all tires
-
jmoney1095 reacted to Gerb in What do you want to see more of in LCPDFR?I suggest a new callout:
A robbery at the petrol station (either no paying your fuel or just a robbery). You get info at the bottom of screen, press Y to accept, than you get some notes of the characteristic of the car and search in the surrounding area.

jmoney1095 reacted to bp103504 in What do you want to see more of in LCPDFR?First of all great MOD! You guys really blow that other *unnamed* police mod outta the water
I've seen some good ideas mentioned in this forum but I wanted to give my spin off of a few things that I think could be a little more fine-tuned. When starting the mod before selecting a player type picking a specialty would be cool. Or as some have suggested a progressive promotion hierarchy where you can accept or decline promotions after responding and completing x-amount of calls successfully. Some ideas are as follows;
Patrol Officer: Currently in place in the mod. I think the calls are relevant and the ability to complete traffic stops fit this profile nicely.
- Only suggestion here is in pursuits revamping the means to end the pursuit so that you simply need to either immobilze their car, or physically drag the perp outta the car and arrest them rather than killing them every time.
- Another area of improvement would be adding the option of requesting permission to engage in aggressive acts. Since a morality system doesn't seem to be a popular feature having this as a peripheral might be nice. For instance, having the option to request permission to utilize a PIT maneuver or shoot out the suspects tires...etc.
Noose Sniper: Everyone loves to snipe!
- This would be a good integration of some of the barricaded suspect suggestions people have come up with.
- Hostage scenarios also have been suggested and I think there is an animation script in the game already which could be taken from the scene when Roman is being held hostage and you have to shoot the guy holding a gun to his head behind him.
- Shooting from a helio at a chase in progress. This would prolly be a scripting nightmare but just an idea. The sniper ideally would either request permission to take down the driver or shoot out the tires.
Chopper Pilot: The reaction seemed hit and miss on this so I thought I'd provide a few new ideas and see if anyone liked them...
- You would have multiple partners on these missions and would spawn at the LCPD landing pad and would be responsible to transport noose officers to scenes. provide arial security with another partner or two in the chopper (prolly have to spawn them at the LZ), then transporting the remaining noose officers back to the police station.
- Another mission could be using a spotlight on a chopper to track a pursuit using the aiming system as your spotlight and shouting over the loudspeaker for the person to pull over. (Kinda reminiscent of the old SimCopter missions if anyone remembers that)
Detective and/or FIB Negotiator: Again saw this mentioned above but it'd be a welcome addition since we already have a Detective player model, but incorporate one of the police officer voices to the model if possible so he doesn't sound like Mr. Bellic. Also FOwner and NEO released at great negotiator skin.
- C13 had some great suggestions for this role in his post on 30 October 2010 - 03:13 PM.
- This role could be more of a crisis management role since we have Attack and Regroup commands already for the AI. So basically you would be dispatched to an event or crisis and would help diffuse it.
- Hunting down predators or fugitives would be another good mission. Thus having to visit multiple locations first and complete microtasks or interviews before actually confronting the suspect. Again, could be a scripting nightmare but just thought I would throw it out there.
Don't rip apart my suggestions too much Asuna... just trying to provide some thoughtful feedback is all. Keep up the great work fellas!

jmoney1095 reacted to vegasglockid in What do you want to see more of in LCPDFR?The more "day to day" police work would be WONDERFUL in my book. Since im actually testing to become a real officer, ive been on ridealongs and its not all action packed.
I would like to see plate readouts (kind of hard to code random plate numbers) like as you pull someone over, have him say "control 3 frank 14 making a traffic on New York plate 349 Mary Frank Tom" or something like that.
Also as you walk up to the car. if you have a partner he should go to the passenger side to keep an eye on things.
asking for drivers license pops up the info which is cool. but should include more info. like warrants, concealed weapons status, such and such.
walking back to your car after you get the license to run info would also be cool (being as cops computers are inside the car)
spotlights on the doors that shine on the car at night would be WAY realistic.
calling the driver back to the hood of the squad car and have a GUI pop up to ask questions, or to search the person.
BIG ONE!!! being able to cuff them without walking back and fourth to the checkpoints.
Having a checkpoint by the trunk to search it.
implementing something that reads out speeds of passing cars so traffic stops are more legit.
adding an option in the "reasons for pullover" for more realistic things. (no use of blinker, failing to yield, running lights, swerving, etc...)
DUI would also be pretty cool.
911 disconnects, where you have to go the a blip on the radar and investigate (could be a false alarm, could be rape who knows!)
I could go on for days. I really like playing this mod more than the game itself.
You guys are doing an awesome job.
