  1. Unfortunately for me, I'm one of those people I wanted to give San Andreas every agency that could possibly be covered according to each region's real-life influence. So, that means since Del Perro is the parody version of Santa Monica, I gave them an independent Santa Monica themed department, Rockford Hills with Beverly Hills, El Burro with Signal Hill, etc etc. The hardest step is to actually create the liveries and uniforms for all of these agencies, adding them through coding/scripts is the easiest part. That's why I've been making all of these texture packs - so that at some point, I can create one big mod that adds all of these agencies for everyone in the community to use. If you check my screenshot albums, each agency there are all operating in their own independent jurisdictions in my game world. For the BCSO, I just couldn't decide which real-life influence to stick with, so I made two of them. So, as far as the BCSO is concerned, I personally ignore the fact that the game world is restricted to a very small island. I just picture the game being set in the mainland, in some alternate-world version of California. There's hardly anything of interest to the eastern edge of San Andreas, so I just pretend that it's all empty desert. Or at least an extension of Blaine County with its own major city we just can't go to. It sounds crazy, but it works for me.

  4. Yes. Some of the cars I made textures for had only 2k resolutions for their templates. I simply had to add those templates as a new layer, enlarge them to fit the 4k resolution, and just add my texture from there. So long as you follow the template, it should show up in the game properly. Hmm, that's odd then. If it appears leveled in the template, I'm not sure why it would look different on the actual model. I like CivSec2 and DefPol. They could do with some unit numbers though, make them feel a little more organized and official. It's awesome that you're making these as part of your own story, I was actually thinking of making some personal skins for a fictional Roman-like empire in modern times and how their police would like from their cars, uniforms, etc. Keep at it And I know some people here have already discussed about different colored lightbars. I'm just not sure if green is possible at the moment. You can try searching for threads here about them though. They've got to be buried here somewhere.

  7. Yes, please, let's all just calm down and relax. Even after ELS is released, I feel that there will still be non-ELS models to help accommodate both sides. So, let this argument die, there's no reason to continue escalating it. Let's go back to talking about how ELS will be awesome.
  8. Cool, I like the dark gray base of CivSec 2 & 3, but I also like the blue stripe of DefPol. The text for CivSec 1 might be a little hard to read, I had to squint a little to see "Civil Security" at the back. You might want to consider different colors for the fonts there. Also, are the stripes for CivSec models suppose to be slanted upwards? My OCD is kinda kicking in, forcing me to see it leveled and parallel with the window edges. If it's meant to be that way, then that's fine. As for the wording, 2K resolutions tend to leave text all blurry. Making it in 4K will allow you to see it clearly in game.
  9. Hmm, it's fortunate that you're not experiencing the texture loss at least. In your ingame graphic settings, is "Ignore suggested limits" on? What are your Nvidia control panel settings for GTAV.exe? I remember when I used to have issues regarding FPS and stuttering, I had to tweak some of the settings there and it fixed the problem. I doubt it's something wrong with your specs, I have a GTX 770M and I get 40-45 FPS on average with graphic settings on max, minus MSAA and tessellation.
  10. How many custom cars are we talking about? Depending on how many and how high poly they are, it could be a memory-leak issue. Do you suffer from any other issues, like textures popping in the game world, disappearing buildings and such? Just the FPS drop?
  11. LSPD = VEH_COPCAR LSSD = VEH_COPRURAL As far as BCSO goes, you can add a new group entry for them.
  12. I can give it a shot I'll just be taking a break for the week. I've rushed out a lot of other skins in a short time. I'll be continuing work on more cars this weekend.
  13. Hmm, these sort of errors are usually tricky. Narrowing down the cause involves a lot of trial and error, at least for me. When I had this problem, I had to do things the hard way until I found the issue, fixed it, and got my game running again. First, I recommend removing your mods, plugins, and scripts folders and try running the game without them. If it doesn't crash, try putting back the folders one by one, starting the game each time until you crash again. If it crashes on a folder that you put back, then you know that there are files inside that are causing these crashes. Just be sure to test the game with each of the folders separately. You need to make sure if the problem stems from one folder or two.
  14. Not exactly. Those dispatch files from RDE will have entries for the other cars aside from the SAHP ones. If you only intend on keeping the SAHP models, you'll have to get rid of the added entries for Noose, BCSO (if you have it), etc. I suggest that you simply stick with the original game files (make backups or use a mod folder) and manually add car slots in "mods/update/update.rpf/common/data/levels/gta5/vehicle.meta" specifically for SAHP. Afterwards, you can go into popgroups to add a group for the SAHP that includes a list of the added cars, and then have them spawn in specific areas using popcycle.
  15. Go for it, dude. They'll train you and help you succeed. I'm actually considering joining the academy for the LAPD, so I'm a little nervous as well in regards to physical tests. But I know that so long as a push myself to do better, to give it my all and improve, that I'll succeed. And you can too.

  18. Yup, and since Blaine County is a combination of San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura counties, etc. here in Cali, I wanted to make liveries that represented them. I never thought about the logic behind using black or white paint, that's really interesting. It definitely makes sense if that were the case. Of course, the sun's hot no matter where you are here in So-Cal
