  1. Fair enough, I'll just have to settle for FBI Buffalo missions until this thing launches. LOL!
  2. As a former reserve deputy and police officer, I myself am extremely interested in watching this new version of the mod reach fruition, I know it has probably been asked a thousand times here, but is there a release date set yet? The only reason I'm even asking is, I recently bought a new rig, GTA IV runs exceptionally well on it and I'm already itching to use the LCPDFR mod, but I don't want to go through the hassle of installing the older version if the newer is going to be out within days or a week or two. (chuckle)
  3. I ran it and everything came back kosher, no issues to report at all.. Even had a clear and easy installation of the mod in the beginning, this is primarily what has me baffled. Granted my machine is older, I can't run GTA IV on high or even full medium without horrendous lag and issues, but crashing is something it has never done on the standard game installation. Personally, I'm glad I'm running out of hair due to my age, because I'd have ripped most of it out by now anyhow if I did have it. It's a shame Rockstar doesn't make a GTA release where you can choose to be the cops instead of the bad guys and include the functionality that this mod does, there just isn't anything else out there like this. As a former reserve police officer I really wanna try this out more extensively lol.
  4. Having just found this mod, I myself am new as well. Before I begin however, let me just say that I'm sincerely impressed by the work that went into this project, I've watched several videos regarding this mod and am anticipating a great and rewarding bit of gameplay once I do manage to get the kinks worked out. Much like the original poster, I've installed the RC2 version on a 1.0.7.0 version of GTA IV (without ELS) just to get a base install working to look at. However, it seems that no matter what I do I end up crashing the game minutes if not seconds after I load the mod and begin playing. Sometimes I make it through model selection for the officer in service, sometimes I even get as far as a traffic stop and then the sound starts looping, the screen locks up, and GTA eventually after a few minutes drops from the task manager. My computer specs are as follows: AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual Core Processor 5200+ 2.61ghz, 3.50GB Ram Nvidia GeForce 8800 Windows XP SP3 Home Edition On lower settings I've played successfully through GTA IV several times without issue, but when this mod loads its a crash fest and I've reinstalled probably 3 or 4 times in the last 2 days trying to get things running right. Any help at all would really be appreciated as I'd love to actually get through an hour or two of game play and enjoy this mod.
