  8. Hi guys I just wanted to say that I have struggled with 1.0 for the past two days and even downloaded and installed GTA three times which took the P"~#!. Anyway after messing around a bit and uninstalling and re-installing. I have had some luck and have been able to play the new version for a bit, heres what i did and although im an idiot I hope this helps at least one person enjoy the hard work the DEVs have put into this version.
  9. (I previously downloaded GTA IV through the Games for Windows Marketplace) Open GFWL and if it wont open (Microsoft has closed it) Uninstall it and re-install uninstall everything GTA/Rockstar related Download from GFWL again and install and back up(copy) the clean/unmodded file (most likely found in your hard disk drive under GTA4) in a folder on your desktop. Install LCPDFR 1.0 Follow the automatic install if you wish and you might find like me that even when you run as ADMIN nothing will happpen at all. Install this patch http://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/200145406-Grand-Theft-Auto-IV-Patch-7-Title-Update-v-1-0-7-0-English-1-0-6-1-Russian-1-0-5-2-Japanese- and it should work. I managed to play for about 30mins before it crashed with that annoying SMPA60 error even though I had no cars saved. I think this happened because I somehow still had my old save game still saved even though I deleted everything so I simply created a new game and saved it over my old one. I played for over an hour with no problems so it is worth giving a clean re-install a try if you are desperate to play this version. I have not re-installed ELS or Spark IV yet so cant say if they will cause any problems or not but just wanted to let you guys know that this method worked for me. Hope I helped and sorry if I have confused anyone Its 3.20am and i got work in 4 hours.....Great......HAPPY POLICING!!!
