I can't believe how valuable MTFO has been. Before it I expected NPCs to yeild. I was surprised at how chaotic they were. I'll look for both ReportsPlus and Dynamic Weather - thanks. Another question to you and anyone - before the recent update I installed Simple Trainer and use it quite a bit. Since the update I see there is an LSPDFR "Native Trainer". Never saw that before, but now it's coming up with my F3 key for Simple Trainer. Any opinion about the native trainer? Should I not bother with Simple Trainer in my new build?

I've played LSPDFR for a month on an inferior PC so now I'm putting together a rig worthy of the game. That means a complete install, from GTA on up. Since I'll be starting fresh, I'm hoping to get opinions on the best "core" set of plugins to use. By core, I mean the three-to-five that you use to create the baseline capabilities, like Stop the Ped versus Policing Redefined. Others I consider ancillary, like MTFO and Custom Pullover. I played my first two weeks using Stop the Ped, Ultimate Backup, and Compulite for my "core". I dropped those for Policing Redefined, pdComp and Grammar Police with BlueLine Dispatch. That change, plus experimenting with other plugins, has left my current setup with keybind conflicts and such. Since I'm starting fresh I'd like a cleaner modification path, if possible. Any and all suggestions welcome.

Your game looks great! I'm a Blueline Vibes member and patron, and I'm not finding a "graphics mod". Can you give a little more info about it? Maybe the video title?

I haven't installed NPCAI yet, because my head is still spinning getting the basic mods running without conflicting keybinds and trying to learn to work the game. I'm not ready for even more attitude from NPCs. I had a partner start wailing on me with her fists because I bumped into her while handling a ped. At least half of my traffic stops run - on wheels or on foot, and the ones I walk up on start a fight about one in three attempts. Now I'm gonna get a rogue parter from Myshkin starting gang fights? Can't wait. ;)

Could you say a bit more about what you mean by "fluid?" Have they optimized code for better framerates, or is it more of a gameplay upgrade? I'm just getting started on Legacy and won't try Enhanced until there is more LSPDFR support, because that's the only reason I have GTA. I'm just curious about the experience and don't want to install it to find out.

This sounds amazing. I'm new to everything here, so new I'm still kitting out my mods and haven't even installed NPCAI yet. From videos I've seen, NPCAI seems very "context aware." How would your project be different or similar? I'm trying to envision "aware" NPCs having conversations and interactions up in Paleto Bay while I'm patrolling Vinewood, and vice versa.

Hi again from newbie land. I am pricing out a complete gaming setup, one like I've never had before, and I'm very far behind on what's best in game technology. One area of particular confusion is monitor selection. The ultrawide (i.e., 21:9) curved monitors are enticing, but I've read conflicting reviews about their use in high res gaming. I've seen talk of distortion at the edges, letterboxing (or the opposite, black at the ends), etc. On the other hand, there are curved monitors that are not ultrawide aspect, just large and curved but that supposedly retain fidelity all around. Then there are advocates for strict flat monitors at common resolutions, usually to be compatible with the most games. I am shooting for the best I can get for LSPDFR and my longtime favorite, MS Flight Simulator. Does anyone here have experience with ultrawide and/or curved monitors with LSPDFR? If so, would you recommend them or say stay away?

I bought GTA V only to have LSPDFR. I got Legacy and Enhanced for USD$32.50 (must have been a Steam sale). I've never played GTA and didn't want to - I bought a finished account for another $29 so I didn't have to. I haven't installed Enhanced, and won't unless I can have LSPDFR. So I guess that means my threshold is somewhere in the $60-$80 range, but I understand about inflation. I'm not surprised at hearing of a $100 ticket price, and I'll pay something like that for what I really want. But I buy very few games - one a year or less.

You just taught me something very valuable - thanks! I looked for and found INI files for MCCallouts and 686Callouts and discovered that each one is a true/false setting and I can turn off what I don't want. Yes, I've been frustrated by the endless pursuits as well as the firefights and will do some editing asap. ;) I only have those two and one called LegacyCallouts, but the INI for that doesn't have enablements for individual items, far as I can see. But now I'll feel more confident about trying new callout packs. Much obliged.

I have Legacy Pursuit, 686 and MC Callouts. I think the firefights came from 686. But I've also done some of those "story" calls that also seem to come from that mod (Photography of station, suspected stalker, fare dodger, high risk escort and such). I guess what I'm after isn't really an option - dealing with major gun battles in a way where an extended team can converge and make arrests instead of treating the whole thing like the OK Corral. ;) Thanks for pitching in @iSwayz

It's likely you all have been discussing these sorts of topics forever, but forgive a newbie his turn. I've only played two weeks and last night marked the third time I've responded to a "general disturbance, possible shots fired" call and wound up smack in the middle of a 360-degree firefight. The first was in rough-and-tumble Southside and I think I wandered into a gang turf squabble. But the second was in swanky Rockford Hills, last night was up in Paleto Bay, and both times they were focused on me. I'm wondering if this is normal gameplay based on the GTA world or is there something I should learn to better handle such situations. (Or maybe both.) I never played GTA - I only bought the game to have LSPDFR. Thing is, the only response I could make was to empty carbine magazines until there were no shooters left. (I'm still playing in God Mode or I'd have died a thousand deaths already.) The aftermath in each was 8-10 corpses and a half dozen vehicles to clean up, difficult and time consuming. And after searching everything and collecting all sorts of weapons, drugs, and other contraband, I have no one left to charge. If scoring in this game is arrests and convictions and not body count, then I'm at a loss for how to organize a tactical response to these little dance parties. Interested to hear from the veterans.

Thanks @Lennyy I agree and had planned to use the controller strictly for driving operations, then M&K for everything else, so your advice sounds right on target. I've found a simple, inexpensive XBOX controller that can either be wired or wireless, so I can test both and take my pick. I just really need better driving control because I'm a menace on the road otherwise. :) Thanks again!

I just started LSPDFR two weeks ago, using only KB & Mouse. Everything I'm reading and seeing on YT tells me a controller is best for driving, which I believe because I drive like a drunk monkey on KB. The question is, which controller? See, I've been computer gaming for 40 years and have never used a controller. All sorts of joysticks, meeses, KB configs and flight yokes, yes. But never a controller. So I've been shopping and of course the choices are endless. Asking for advice, especially for me, the controller newbie. That said, I just found the ManbaOne and it appeals to me for a few reasons 1) The included charging cradle; 2) The onboard configuration capability via a screen that minimizes/eliminates software config; 3) Video demos indicate good button control and feedback; 4) Wireless 5) Buttons seem to line up well with the configs in GTA/LSPDFR. I don't care about the fancy lighting and I'm not too price sensitive, so other more expensive option suggestions welcome. Thanks! -=RP=-

Greetings - I've never played GTA but bought it as soon as I found LSDPFR. I'm now two weeks in, struggling with all the setup but having a blast. Law Enforcement was my first career plan as a kid (over 50 years ago now,) but life took me elsewhere. This is a kind of fantasy wish fulfillment, and I'm excited to dig in and join the fun.
