  1. I ended up getting a PNY Geforce gtx 650 ... 2gb DDR5. It helped a little and gives a little better framerate than the AMD Radeon HD7770 I had... but I am still getting framerate fluctuations in certain spots on the map. Is it normal for fluctuations to go from like 55.2 fps to 45 fps or even lower? With v sync off I get anywhere from like 72 fps + but with major fluctuations down to 50 fps and screen tearing. (Fps fluctuations seem more dynamic with this turned off) With v sync on, it seems to be locked at 55.2 fps and not go above that... but it does slow down to 44 fps or even lower in some spots. Is there a way to "lock" the framerate so it does not fluctuate? Again I'm using savior enb. game4video enb is about the same fps wise.
  2. It's sad that my previous 1 GIG DDR5 card performed flawlessly opposed to this 2 gig DDR5. My previous card wasn't AMD either so I'm guessing that's the issue. What brand do you recommend not only for good enb performance, but for good gaming performance with all games in general? I'd like to stay around the $150 range of cards.
  3. I've tried everything. I'm thinking maybe since the video card came with my gateway it's crap for some reason even though its a 2 gig DDR5.
  4. My graphics are as low as they can go in the game, it doesn't help. I know left 4 dead 2 is older but I can run that max settings not one bit of lag even in multiplayer. The game runs fine without an ENB, even most ENB are ok until I turn els lights on. I figured however with a 2gb DDR5 card and I7, nothing should lag even if its an ENB. I've also tried Savior ENB and its the one I have right now, it still slows in certain spots when ELS lights are on.
  5. Yea they haven't seemed to do anything unless theres specific paramaters I'm not including in the commandline. All it does is make the game say "warning your graphic settings are too high" etc. but it shows like 500mb / 4,000mb used..??
  6. I have tried just about every ENB and when ELS lights are on, they go really slow in certain spots on the map and it's very irritating - and I am running the game with no shadows, view / detail down to like 1-5. 1366 x 768 resolution. (It even lags still in lower res) . I have the steam version of gta4 - 1.0.7.0 patch. It's odd because I have a Gateway FX6860 UR10p - which is an I-7 processor. Video card is a ATI Radeon 7770- 2GB DDR5. 12 gigs of ram. 2tb HD. Power supply is 700 watts. And yes I am running the card overclocked and enabled graphics overdrive. Unless I got totally ripped off when buying this computer I'd imagine it's fairly up there with specs - unless the card they have in here is really junk?? I recently updated the ATI Catylist software but it's still lagging. I used to have an i-5 processor gateway. It lagged there too, but I upgraded the video card to a 1gig DDR5, can't remember the brand but it wasn't ATI Radeon. When I upgraded the game ran perfectly with no lag with ENB + els lights. (Sad I sold that computer) So I guess my questions are these: Is my graphics card and/or power supply really that crappy? What makes an ENB lag most when ELS lights are on? I have tried turning off every antialiasing setting / etc. that could be causing the slow down in the enb.ini files. Thanks, and please let me know if you need any other specs with my setup.
