  1. It was a fresh install, I doubt reinstalling would change anything, because everything else worked perfectly fine. Without LSPDFR, everything else is is doing what it should. Redux and Visual V (the 2 I'm using) work perfectly, and don't include weapon mods. And as I said, LSPDFR was perfectly playable up until I bought guns off-duty from AmmuNation. And was able to delete the character, everything back to normal functionality, and did it again... same error. That's clearly where the problem is. Nowhere in the FAQ or anything did it warn me that this couldn't or shouldn't be done, and I'm the kind of person who prefers to play without a trainer unless I have to. I was semi disappointed when I discovered the only way to heal/repair was F4 using Rage commands, rather than LSPDFR innately including a way to repair cop vehicles (maybe at PD), get gas at a station, and not being able to visit a hospital to heal (though at least there are addons like BetterEMS or UltimateBackup etc that enhance EMS.) It IS immersively nice to be able to pull your bigger guns out of the on-duty vehicle, at least. But it just doesn't feel like a game, when so much is trainer commands. So I wasn't anticipating that the mod would prevent otherwise normal off-duty play like getting AmmuNation guns. And it would be fairly easy to test if that is the case... If someone else were to go buy some and see. Might be the kind of thing to warn people not to do. I get this is mostly a "focuses on the cop on-duty experience," but I didn't think it would also detract from normal gameplay if you didn't feel like going on-duty for a bit.
  2. Well, I accidentally found out what the original problem was, and how to replicate it. See, I was under the impression that you had your On-duty cop weapon loadout chosen at the Locker menu, but then if off-duty, you could still "play like normal" and go to AmmuNation to buy guns. And this worked fine for the one game session I did it in, until I exited/restarted. I took the brand new character (and I'd been playing earlier doing some callouts before this, so my game was perfectly functional til this), off-duty into an AmmuNation... because her weapon wheel had been completely empty, just Unarmed. Bought only a couple things, pistol, AR, etc. It was all perfectly normal and functional -- was able to draw these weapons, upgrade/bought ammo for them and so on, and then go back On Duty and do cop stuff as normal, etc. But then I took a break from playing, went off-duty and exited. Upon starting it up again, it's doing the exact same LSPDFR dll has crashed, and the Rage .log is giving the same output about PedInventory: But, I'm confused as to why this is an only me thing, surely it would happen to a lot of other new players, unless everybody else can have an off-duty gun inventory without issue...

  5. While I've got this thread, figure I'll ask one more low-priority noob question. It took me a moment to figure out where the the garage was for the Integrity Way apartment, had to run all the way around back and only found it by seeing where it popped my vehicle out at. Is there no quicker way to get to your off-duty vehicle there other than running around the long way, or am I missing something? The front doors of that building don't seem to open for me (though I do have Open Interiors installed, works fine in other places). Attached a screenshot just for clarity, because I can see there's a blue beam by the elevators in there, but can't get to it (and not even sure what it goes to), those doors don't open. (Also marked thread as solved, ty for the replies -- technically don't know what caused it, but simplest solution just seemed to be to delete and recreate a new custom char, in case anybody else ever has this issue. I suspect it had something to do with me still being able to see my vanilla Michael/Trevor/etc singleplayer weapons on that character. Whereas with the new character, she began with a completely empty Unarmed weapon wheel.)

  24. Had a minor bug where (just after install) the default | menu did not want to "stick" and stay visible after pressing, like other menus would. Kept vanishing, though everything else about the mod was still functional. And when I used semicolon to manually dispatch EMS to my location, on the lefthand side where the text boxes pop up, it said "Exception occurred when trying to call EMS" or something. However. After an exit and restart, everything was functional again. There had been no errors or anything in Rage .log, and my BetterEMS ini & xml were both untouched defaults. Not sure if that's a mod problem, or just GTA and loading mods, seems like sometimes it's just real finicky.
  25. I have no idea why that all happened, then. I took your earlier advice to test, removed that character .ls and made an entirely New Character, tested everything. Inventory, saved on and off duty outfits and off-duty vehicle, did some callouts etc, and everything worked perfectly. Exited, restarted again, and it never did the LSPDFR dll has crashed message in the lower left like it had been. Everything looks fine and functional now. Like it was just something with my original custom character. But if you found no issue with it... Either way I guess I'm just gonna play with this new one since it's safe and clean (for now, fingers crossed). But do let me know if that .log reveals anything, like that line about Rage.Ped inventory. Sorry I can't be more help as to what might've caused it initially, no idea.

  27. Nope, no weapon mod. Like I said, fresh GTA install (but Steam cloud downloaded my old finished singleplayer save), I hadn't touched the game in years and figured LSPDFR would be a fun go of it. It's pretty barebones, aside from the prereqs, I did Redux and Open Interiors... and that's about it. Think I briefly tried Apartment & Garage (SPA II), but it wasn't working out and overlapped with the 4 included police apartments (and wasn't able to purchase them / work with the LSPDFR custom character anyway). Think that was the only one I uninstalled. But that's specifically about housing, which doesn't seem to be among my problems atm. LSPDFR ingame Settings are all the default, never messed with any of that yet, and had intentionally not been piling in additional LSPDFR goodies like more callouts yet before making sure stuff currently works. Here's my .ls character file in the zip. I'm not sure what all gets included, I would've assumed it was just character appearance... because it's not like they have real inventory of their own, right? Never went to AmmuNation or anything, inventory gets chosen when going On Duty. And Off-Duty was seemingly displaying my Michael/Trevor etc singleplayer inventory, which this file won't include (but wasn't anything weird, normal vanilla playthrough, game played fine without LSPDFR.) If that ends up looking harmlessly normal to you, I might just keep that .ls, reinstall LSPDFR and see if I can try to fix it that way. It seems to be repeating the same weirdness. Sometimes it'll dll crash, sometimes it'll load correctly (well, it'll start at Michael's house then teleport over to Integrity Way apartment since I have it set to that and Last Played.) And new Rage logs indicate the same as my first post, inventory stuff. And if nothing else, I can do Legendary's idea of removing the PennyWhelan.ls and creating a new character, test that for a bit to see if it continues. Penny Whelan.zip
  28. Redux. But I don't see any issues with the game graphically. The problems seem to involve the custom character & inventory. It still runs and looks fine when LSPDFR has crashed, and even when it's deciding to work (which seems to be random)... Ironically, I just started it up to try to get a screenshot of that lower-left text "LSPDFR dll has crashed", and if it would generate another crash log to see if anything changed... but it decided to load up just fine now. It briefly showed my character in Michael's default home, then took a moment to correct due to Last Played, and teleported her over to the chosen police apartment. Off-duty, same off-duty outfit, looks like everything is fine this time. Seems unpredictable... Nor is the Interaction menu doing the gigantic problem in the last attached screenshot, either. I didn't do anything that might've changed any of this. Not sure why this attempt went well.
  29. Fresh GTA install as of yesterday, like 2 graphical mods, LSPDFR + Rage, just UnitedCallouts for now, nothing fancy. It was working fine, but upon starting it up today, LSPDFR crashed. If attempting to restart the game, LSPDFR continues to crash upon trying to load in my character (GTA & Rage and callouts continue to load fine, no errors there.) After looking at the .log, it looks like it's related to my custom character (Penny Whelan) and her inventory, though I'm not sure why since I've mostly been Off-duty and haven't even had time to play LSPDFR much yet (and had only been using Random, etc, nothing weird with the inventory.) Although as off-duty, it seemed to be showing all of my acquired singleplayer weapons from Michael/Trevor etc, not sure if that's correct or not. Anyway, if you search the log for Penny, right below where it loads my character is when it seems to start having inventory issues: [10/16/2021 2:58:11 AM.603] LSPD First Response: Stack trace: [10/16/2021 2:58:11 AM.603] LSPD First Response: at Rage.PedInventory.GiveNewWeapon(WeaponDescriptor weapon, Int16 ammoCount, Boolean equipNow) [10/16/2021 2:58:11 AM.603] at Rage.PedInventory.GiveNewWeapon(WeaponAsset asset, Int16 ammoCount, Boolean equipNow) [10/16/2021 2:58:11 AM.603] at LSPD_First_Response.Engine.Scripting.Entities.WeaponSkin.ApplyToPed(Ped ped, WeaponSkin weaponSkin) in E:\GTA V\LSPD First Response\LSPD First Response\Engine\Scripting\Entities\WeaponSkin.cs:line 68 And is it supposed to be referencing files at... E:\GTA V\LSPD First Response\ when that's not my install path (which is shown at the top of the log, in C:\) Just wondering if it can't find what it's after, I dunno. In an attempt to fix the problem, I temporarily relocated my PennyWhelan.ls char files from \Grand Theft Auto V\lspdfr\chars so that it would appear empty and have to load one of the safe vanilla characters. It did so, loaded in Michael, and I was finally able to get LSPDFR to load and get menu access. I set the Last Played to Random just in case, exited, re-pasted my .ls character files back where they had been, relaunched... and I guess randomly it decided to choose my custom Penny character, somehow seemed fine... except I started to notice a couple bugs. For my off-duty vehicle, it's still showing a white car icon on the map where Michael's story vehicle had been (but it's ghosting and not actually there at his house.) My off-duty vehicle IS spawning at apartments, just with no white icon marking it. And when I opened up the Interaction menu, it spanned the whole screen (see the attached Screenshot.) I figured the entire game needed a reboot and did so... but now it's back to the original problem again, LSPDFR dll is crashing and nothing else is. I'm getting the feeling this character is cursed, didn't really want to have to delete and start over. But figured I should still make a bug report on it. RagePluginHook_16102021_075705.log
