警務處從寶馬引進一台「R1200RT-P」電單車進行測試。該車一出現便打破近年一般試用車輛只使用AM配以3位數字的政府車牌慣例，直接從專門分配予警務處的政府車牌名單中，登記為「AM 6810」。 「AM 6810」在馬力方面較現時服役中的「R900RT」來得更大更強,。而車輛塗裝參考了英國警察同型號車輛的設計，外觀上與現役車輛有明顯的分別。- 文章來自 特種運輸之友 Association Of Special Transport 在試用車/ 樣版車 Experimental / Prototype Vehicles (Facebook) The Force have introduced a BMW “R1200RT-P” motorcycle for testing. The vehicle had broken the traditions of vehicle license number for trial vehicles in recent years, which was not started with two capital letters “AM” follow with 3 digits numbers; instead, it was registered as “AM 6810”, directly from the list of government vehicle license numbers that specifically allocated to the Force. In the horsepower aspect than the existing BMW "R900RT", “AM 6810” came bigger and stronger.
