警務處從寶馬引進一台「R1200RT-P」電單車進行測試。該車一出現便打破近年一般試用車輛只使用AM配以3位數字的政府車牌慣例，直接從專門分配予警務處的政府車牌名單中，登記為「AM 6810」。
