Lore Callouts
Yeah, these two systems are being rebuilt for the next build because of that reason. It seems that depending on the workload on GTA some parts of the script might get delayed and this causes a plugin crash. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. If you'd like to beta test the next build, let me know!

If you disable DyanmicVehicleSearch in the initialization file, this problem should go away. I have identified the issue and a fix has been included in the next build. :)

If I can have a look at your log file I'll do my best. 🙂 Disable DynamicVehicleSearch in the initialization file and this should go away. I will dig deeper and see if there are conflicts between Lore Callouts and the other plugins you are using.

I will look into adding a custom officer model as well. In the mean time, you can edit Police and Sheriff under the [Vehicles] header to set custom car models at least 🙂 X is the control for FRONTEND_DELETE which is what I am using as callout termination. I will look into adding a custom keymap for this in the future because now I realise available controller buttons are scarce. In regards to the street race callout. I'm sorry this keeps happening for you. The log file indicates to me that the enumeration I use to set crimes on peds internally is using non valid numbers for some reason. I will definitely try to push a fix for this into the next build.

To disable the Informant, you can edit the setting "WorldEvents=True" to "WorldEvents=False". Or if you want to set the minimum time between text messages and prompts, change "WorldEvents.MinTimeBetween" to a higher value. This number is in seconds. By default it is set as 35, but you can go as high as you want, as long as MinTimeBetween is lower than MaxTimeBetween. I will look into adding custom intro phrases. Thank you for the suggestion 🙂

There seems to be an issue when the script spawns the helicopter. I will release a hotfix shortly. Sorry for the inconvenience. EDIT: The hotfix has been released, let me know if it worked.

Lovely to see some video feedback and get live reactions to features and callouts. I saw you were having issues with the Criminal activity callout where the callout got stuck after taking the police transport. I will look into why this happens for users and not for me, and possibly overhaul the code for that callout to make sure it works properly in the next build.

I will take a look at your log file and see if I can find any issues. In the meantime, make sure that if you previously used Lore Interaction have removed all files because these will cause conflicts. Also, if you updated Lore Callouts from an earlier version, try to remove all plugin files and install fresh. Namely, LoreCalloutsAudio from lspdfr/scanner and LoreCallouts.dll and LoreCallouts.ini from plugins/lspdfr EDIT: This issue should now be resolved with the next build. Thank you for your report 🙂

LSPDFR Crashing after 5 minutes of play time
Alright ill try to remove Smart Radio and Traffic Police. and everytime it crashes im mostly calling for backup. Through either of these plugins or through LSPDFR? Also, if you are running any other game modifications such as vehicle mods, try renaming your "mods" folder to "modsOld" and run the game. It's unlikely this is causing the crash for you though, but it's definitely worth a shot if it turns out not to be script related.

LSPDFR Crashing after 5 minutes of play time
From what I can tell by reading the log, a few plugins give warnings for running on a newer game version than intended. Namely, Police Smart Radio and Traffic Policer. I also noticed you are using Cop Holster, which as far as I know hasn't been updated in a while. You can try to disable all plugins and add them back one by one to see which one causes the issue. Are you doing anything in particular at the time of the crash or is it just happening a couple of minutes in no matter what?

LSPDFR crashing after 3 minutes
Based off the log, I was able to replicate the crash by changing character or going off duty. I should be able to push the fix into the next build. I'm sorry, the code has recently been overhauled and being the lone tester and developer at the same time results in things like this going under radar. EDIT: The issue should now be resovled for 1.1.2 (next build), in the meantime, you can toggle WorldEvents by replacing "true" with "false" in the ini-file (LoreCallouts.ini). Again, my apologies.

Yes! If you go to the initialization file, you can toggle WorldEvents by changing "true" to "false". In the next build, I'll add an option to let users decide how much time should go between each new world event/text. Thank you and sorry for any incovenience this may have caused. Thanks, I'm glad you're having a good time with it. I will take your suggestion and see what I can do with it. I do realise that alot of people run different units for Blaine and Los Santos County, even though Rockstar themselves couldn't be bothered to.

LSPDFR crashing after 3 minutes
I will take a look into why this happened and fix it for the next build! Thanks for the report! 🙂 EDIT: After looking into the issue, it seems that my script only calls ped.IsFemale or ped.IsMale three times and in all cases they are validated by ped.Exists() and ped.IsValid(). Could it be LSPDFR or DefinitiveCallouts causing this? It might point at Events.Initialize on my plugin because it is running all the time.

The camera overlay itself is basically a scaleform movie which could affect performance. I am going to have to toy around a little bit more to see if it can be improved upon. Since you are having these issues and I'm unable to replicate them myself on my system, would you be okay with testing a beta build in the future? Thanks for your report, I really appreciate it.

It is recommended you use the police records to search for the name of the suspect (to get a mugshot) or the police helicopter camera scan function to scan peds in that area mentioned in the text. It is intentionally vague to let users get creative in ways to find said person. When you get within a 100 or so meters of the location the plugin will tell you so by showing a subtitle text encouraging you to look in that specific area as well. Best of luck! 🙂

I am going to need to see your log file to determine what causes the crash for you. I suggest you delete all Lore Callouts files from these locations - lspdfr/audio/scanner/LoreCalloutsAudio - plugins/lspdfr If you used any previous version, remove ZPhDevs.Common.dll If you used Lore Interaction, remove that plugin as well. It has been discontinued and merged into Lore Callouts so there will be conflicts if using both at the same time. Then install the new version of Lore Callouts.

LSPDFR Crashed when I was arrived at scene
The issue with the callout has been fixed for the next build, 1.1.1, which will be released shortly. My apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

You seem to be getting an awful lot of errors from Callout Interface, related to date and time. Both of my callouts seem to be aborting when GetClockMinutes is called. I will have to look into this further. Can you try running only Lore Callouts and trigger these callouts again through the console to see if you get the same result?

This should not be caused by Lore Callouts, because the script can currently only detect if the .ini file is missing or not. If it is missing, it will rebuild it automatically with default values. Can I see the log from that session please?

Quoted from the readme, You have two installation options, but both requires OpenIV. OpenIV is a software which lets to modify content within your GTA v root folder. It does a lot of things, but most importantly it lets you modify content within .dlc files and install packages through .oiv files. Do you have OpenIV installed and set up? You can send me a message if you need more guidance, I will gladly help you.

The readme will tell you what to do with the files. Items found under "files" are optional if you don't want to use the .OIV installer. A .oiv file is a package file for OpenIV.

The wanted person might wander outside of the circle and the circle will not follow them. I should update the script to let users know that if too much time is spent looking, chances are the wanted person have left the area. This is a design oversight from my part, apologies! I will implement something for upcoming builds. Thank you for pointing this out to me.

I can not find any issue with LoreCallouts. It seems, based on the log, that this is happening rather frequently for you with other callout packs as well. If you are running a lot of different callout packs I suggest you try to clean out your plugin folder and add them back one by one to see which one causes the issue. It could be caused by a lot of things, such as, in no particular order; System hardware, perhaps a CPU thing on your end, outdated plugins, incompatible plugins, sound files, et cetera et cetera. Good luck! I hope you find and can resolve the issue

I will look into separating the holster feature from Lore Interaction and add back as a standalone plugin. It does indeed make sense that way.
