Greetings! Is there a method to ensuring vehicles (NPCs) will not yield to vehicles with yellow lighting? For example, I downloaded a tow truck and a security vehicle, and changed their class to utility (not emergency), so the siren no longer functions and the lights work with the horn key, however NPCs are still yielding to these vehicles. I've read through the meta files, and can't find any settings that would cause this. Any recommendations?

I don't think you're reading the original post. Police Smart Radio doesn't disable the vehicle due to engine stalling...

This doesn't solve the problem though. When you PIT a vehicle, it just spins around, crashes violently, then limps away and drives off. Repeat about 50 times, until the vehicle is about to explode. Where's the realism in that?

I have a request that I thought I'd share with those who can make plugins. Nothing is more frustrating then endlessly PIT'ing vehicles just to have them drive away with four flat tires, a busted and smoking engine, no doors, and broken lights after being PIT 15+ times including head on collisions into light poles. My suggestion is to add some more realism to pursuits. What about a plugin that detects X amount of speed suddenly changing direction would cause the vehicle to shut off/stall? This is the main purpose of a PIT maneuver and I believe it would make a great addition to LSPDFR/LCPDFR. Psuedocode could be something along the lines of: 1: Get speed of the vehicle in forward motion 2: Check forward direction of the vehicle/Velocity 3: If speed and velocity are not the same direction, 4: Shut down the vehicle's engine 5: If player is near the vehicle, stay in the car until forced to exit 6: If player is not near the vehicle, escape and try to evade on foot Ideas/Feedback?

Applications are still open! We currently have 11 apps in the system, and trust me, there are a lot more than 11 positions that we could fill. For those of you that applied; Filming will start as scheduled as long as I have the proper computer delivered in time to do it. If we don't have enough extras, we can film everything else in the mean time.

Go for it. Send in your app, and under "final notes" just put your expecting to be fully operational by the time we start production, or something. Or just put your "theninja35 - LCPDFR forums". Something to remind me who you are and that you are trying to be ready on time. Thing is I wanna make a serious machinima, but it's a game, and it's a volunteer assignment. I need all the help I can get with it. We don't have to film the script in order of Scene 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10. If you're selected for a Scene 4 and 8 position, and you're the last person we're waiting on, we can film scenes 4 and 8 last.

Oh I know, but I had a female friend voice a test for dispatch and it sounded way too good to pass up. I do plan to have two dispatchers, one for police and one for fire (There is a scene involving a fire/ems assist). As for right now though, the dispatcher role is female (or for anyone who can use a good voice changer/imitate a female). Plus, I would like to have a cast that isn't all-male. Applications are EXPECTED to close on December 26th 2013, however, it all depends on when the script is finished and when I have access to my God-computer to record and edit once again (which would be no later than January 31st). I expect to be fully ready to begin the actual production (fully staffed, etc) by January 31st. The expected date I want to be completed is to be announced, but I want to be finished by mid-March so it can be released before April.

Tonight is the last night of patrol duties for Blackwell, and retiring Detective Brandon Redmond is assigned to go on patrol with Blackwell to introduce him to the job by patrolling problem areas. At the start of the shift, a pursuit (see the video below) recording is shown to the officers to mark one year since Officer Harris' death. The suspect, a known mobster, is killed in the shoot out. The Chief of Police is expecting retaliation against the department, and that it would take place during the night of the one year anniversary of Officer Harris' death - And it holds true. The officers are immediately dispatched after the briefing is closed, interrupting their coffee plans. A dispatch that sets off the rest of the night's events, and reminds the officers of the number one rule to which they will be struggling with for the rest of the night: Go home safely at the end of the shift. The script is in production, and the overall movie production stage is currently PRE-PRODUCTION. Applications have already been getting submitted, and we are opening up to a lot more areas to get even more applications. If you have no experience, now is your chance to create an audition to be a voice actor, video editor, music artist, or other type of video production position. See the information below. I want to act, drive, shoot, you name it. But I really don't want to get my voice recorded. Apply for "Player Actor" and do not apply for "Full Character" or "Voice Actor". You will portray your character in the game, where-as someone who cannot run GTA-IV smoothly will do the characters voice. Please, apply and see what happens! Your voice will NOT be recorded, as the recording computer will not be part of any voice-over-IP systems. The Director/Filmers will be using cell phones or extra computers (laptops) to record game-footage only! I want to be a music composer, or provide music to this production. That is excellent! This gains the video popularity, to include even making it on official channels such as IGN or Machinima. This would bring a LOT of popularity to the LCPD:FR mod. So how does joining this production help me in being a better known music artist/actor/voice actor/etc? Easy. This production is going to be excellent quality, and the first of it's kind, with a full script and a professional video editor. Everyone who joins this production receives full credit, and will be recognized if/and/when the video goes viral/large. If this production is done well, and makes it to a major channel, you are looking at an easy couple million views. Imagine your music being heard by two million people. You could get famous off of that type of recognition. Okay, I'm sold, but speaking of sold, what about money/payment? This is a volunteer assignment without pay. If I should earn money from this production, once the necessary expenses have been paid off (video editor software (not expensive), hidden expenses, etc), the income will be totaled up at the end of the month, and donated to the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund at http://www.nleomf.com/ - If a huge amount of income is received (over $1000 monthly, highly unlikely), the first $1000 will be evenly divided up among everyone who played a part in this production based on their position and contribution, and anything in excess of $1000 will be donated to the NLEMF. Thank you everyone! You're all motivating me to get this movie done. Just can't wait until I get my stuff back from the Army so I can start filming. (I am moving back to the United States, so they're picking up my personal stuff such as my computer.. ugh.)

Not a mod, multiple sources of sound effects that were clipped and reversed to sync with the vehicle. Thanks! To be honest, the hardest part to sync was the dashcam "Brake / Transmit / Receive". The engine was rather easy. Just a matter of listening to what I saw on the video.
