  1. Thanks for the replies! I'm not too good at understanding these log files, so you've been super helpful. I don't even remember what Traffic Policer does, so I'll definitely be removing that! And thanks so much DarkVyper for the suggestion to use GrammarPolice instead of PoliceSmartRadio – I didn't know GrammarPolice had an onscreen radio. How do I go about updating LSPDFR without causing errors or having to redo a ton of mods (Jurisdictions+ for example, was a huge pain getting the XMLs right with it not being updated for the latest EUP)? The last time LSPDFR required an update it just so happened that I had some issue requiring me to reinstall GTA V anyway, so I'm not actually sure how to go about just updating it. Is it okay to just use the .exe installer? I can't figure out what files have actually been updated.
  2. So here's a weird one... Just a couple hours ago I was playing LSPDFR and everything was generally working fine. When I went to get back on a few minutes ago I decided to add two new callout packs: CalloutsT and Dangerous Callouts (linked below). When I tried to go on duty (whether by using the ForceDuty command or by going into a police station), the game would start loading LSPDFR plugins, then give me the lovely chirp that means something crashed, display a message that LSPDFR crashed, continue loading plugins for 3-5 more seconds, then the game would crash entirely. I figured one of the new callout packs was causing the issue, so I removed one, then the other, and finally removed both. But removing the only logical causes of the problem has not solved the problem, and my game still crashes in the exact same manner. It doesn't even leave a log every time, but I attached a recent one; the console appears to show the same sequence / errors every time. I know I have some outdated plugins (and I'm pretty sure even LSPDFR itself is outdated, I'm just not quite sure how to update it without wiping everything out), but let me reiterate that everything was working until installing these two callout packs. I've pretty much always been able to troubleshoot game crashes myself successfully, but this completely baffles me - how could plugins cause a crash after being removed? Thank you in advance for any help/suggestions. RagePluginHook_13082022_045426.log
  3. Quick question about the .ini file - for the option RangerBackupModels the default is ''"PRANGER":"PRANGER":"PRANGER"". Why is PRANGER there three times, separated by colons? I have a vehicle installed under PRANGER2 that I'd like to add, but I'm no programmer and there's no note in the file about how to adjust this setting, so I'm baffled by the syntax.
  4. There's a bunch of threads with ELS issues, but I couldn't find any that are the same problem as I have. All the default VCF's that came with my vehicle mods used the exact same siren tone settings: <SOUNDS> <MainHorn InterruptsSiren="true" AudioString="SIRENS_AIRHORN" /> <ManTone1 AllowUse="true" AudioString="VEHICLES_HORNS_SIREN_1" /> <ManTone2 AllowUse="true" AudioString="VEHICLES_HORNS_SIREN_2" /> <SrnTone1 AllowUse="true" AudioString="VEHICLES_HORNS_SIREN_1" /> <SrnTone2 AllowUse="true" AudioString="VEHICLES_HORNS_SIREN_2" /> <SrnTone3 AllowUse="true" AudioString="VEHICLES_HORNS_POLICE_WARNING" /> <SrnTone4 AllowUse="true" AudioString="VEHICLES_HORNS_AMBULANCE_WARNING" /> <AuxSiren AllowUse="true" AudioString="VEHICLES_HORNS_SIREN_1" /> <PanicMde AllowUse="true" AudioString="VEHICLES_HORNS_POLICE_WARNING" /> </SOUNDS> These settings are also the defaults for fire trucks and ambulances, not just police vehicles. After downloading a siren audio pack and getting annoyed by police cars using the Ambulance Warning and fire trucks using police yelp and that kind of thing, I decided to find the audio string names and change my VCF files. Well, now my game won't load up. I have RageHook set to load LSPDFR automatically, and the game crashes just before it gets to the screen that says "Loading LSPDFR." Interestingly, there is no error message, no crash report, nothing. I've checked several times and I can't find any errors in my XML syntax. I do see some conflicting posts about what the audio strings should be. Here's the one's I changed from the default strings: AMBULANCE RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_WAIL_01 = primary siren RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_QUICK_01 = secondary siren FIRETRUK VEHICLES_HORNS_FIRETRUCK_WARNING = air horn RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_FIRETRUCK_WAIL_01 = primary siren RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_FIRETRUCK_QUICK_01 = secondary siren POLICEB RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_WAIL_03 = primary siren RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_QUICK_03 = secondary siren FBI (and FBI2 and FBI addon vehicles) RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_WAIL_02 = primary siren RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_QUICK_02 = secondary siren I also changed the value of AllowUse for SrnTone4 to "false" for all police vehicles (SrnTone4 is set to Ambulance Warning), as well as changing the value to "false" for SrnTone3 on POLICEB (SrnTone3 is Police Warning and it just doesn't match the bike tones 1 & 2). All my LSPD, SAHP, and Sheriff cars' VCF's still only have the default audio strings. Also, my vehicles.awc file with all the modded siren tones is actually SMALLER in file size than the vanilla GTA V vehicles.awc, so having a large awc file can't be the issue. Are these the correct audio strings? Or is there something else I'm missing? EDIT: so it turns out the crashing was caused by a different small change I forgot I made to my POLICE4 VCF. I don't know if this thread can just be deleted or how it works but I guess I'll make a new thread to figure out the issue that was ACTUALLY happening. Sorry!
  5. For some reason the Tahoe started crashing my game every time I or the game try to spawn it?? It didn't do it before, and then all of a sudden my game crashes constantly and every time in the RageHook crash report the last entry before the game crash is "loading sahp7" (the name I have for the Tahoe, I use it as an addon). I have everything set up right in the vehicles.meta and carvariations.meta, and it used to work fine, it just all of a sudden started causing game crashes. Weird.
  6. I like to customize my LSPDFR configuration to fit the mods I have and my personal preferences, but even a slight change to any XML file included in this mod causes LSPDFR to be unable to start. I can't change weapon loadouts, vehicle descriptions, or what vehicles spawn as backup via the XML's without breaking LSPDFR. I check very thoroughly to make sure I don't have any XML errors, and even just copy-paste within the files to make sure I'm not messing up some formatting thing. Without the mod I can easily change the vanilla XML files and everything works fine. Anyone else have this kind of problem or know a solution? (Side note: EUP uniforms and EUP menu are installed and work fine without this mod; Side note 2: the only thing I can see in the Rage console that seems like an issue to me is "FATAL: failed to load backup template" but I don't really know what that means, I'm kind of a noob lol)
