This is great when you are chasing somebody down and dont want them to go 50 to 0 in 1 second and ram them. I would beep them, let them stop and then when they are about to resume driving i'll initiate the stop. usually results in very nice and smooth pull overs. You can also force pull and cancel repeatedly but that will just force the game to make the car run eventually.

It falls under the whole driving is a priviledge nomenclature Registration Valid Y/N Insurance Valid/present Y/N State of registration NY/LC or some others In real life you get the above + - actual status of registration (current up to xyz, revoked, expired, none at all, along with dates of these events if applicable) - name of registered owner/s - address on said registration - expiration date - car vin/make/model/color etc Additionally sometimes it's separate query depending on system - reported stolen. - lien information. that's usually through the vin check and not plate. but can be accessed if needed. again it really varies by location and how the cad on your end and on the dispatch side are tied in with other state databases I don't think anything beyond the first 3 would make sense in game nor would it be realistic. You can create all fake info but if your car and owner don't match across all the addons it detracts from the realism imo. Insurance and registration lapses are pretty rare. About 1% of all vehicles, typically even less depending on where you are. Last time i coded a database was in 1997. I don't think the same languages still exist today. I've been out of the loop for decades

why not just use a citation template and fill those out and print them or just have them printed and manually fill them in for fun.. this i cant really see teh point of! i wrote 13 tickets yesterday, arrested 21 and pulled over ~40 vehicles. therefore i should have made 60 posts with 60 doc files. negative! remember each contact is its own incident, regardless of disposition appreciate the idea but the execution falls short mate. i thought it was some database thing where can add more details besides the basic stats the main mods keeps track of (in sig)

It would change it if all the children didn't get mom to buy them the ps3 the xbox and then the game for each system. if you count the petition (130k+ currently) as being LOST REVENUE, that is significant. let's see, 6500000$ loss in game sales by this petition only. But they know this is not what this means. What it means is that 98% of those signatures will buy it for ps3, then for xbox and then for PC. so by releasing it in stages, R* triple bleeds your parents. Just look at the threads on this site (which is 100% pc based) and see if you can argue with the above in any way..

nope. the whole point of buying this game is so you can mod it. The initial enjoyment out of the stock one is eh.. about 1 hour. It is being able to add things that keep it relevant years after release, even with all the bugs and limitations

I wonder.. right now the game generates detail for each ped upon request. If you make the LPR to work like dashcam, where you point to a given car and hit "process", you could force it to essentially return information for that vehicle off a database (like policehelper does for peds). it won't be automatic as you drive (that will probably crash you asap anyway) and it won't read the actual plates since there are no plates in the game, but it's close enough.

all i want from gtav is proper traffic AI and a non crashing game. if they keep everything else the same, i'll give them 60$..

gta crashes because of the following: the question is how often and are the crashes within your control or not. - its a crappy console port that nobody can fix. rockstar gave up and after 7 patches, still can't fix it. you won't fix it either. just get used to it. that said, here are things that make it crash, in no order 1. dsound works for some not others 2. xlive. again works for some not others. try both see which is more stable 3. ELS. generally you want to disable that for all cars that are not yours. not as pretty but this has a big impact on overal game stability 4. map expansions, extra traffic, high quality cars, traffic overides (traffic load etc addons) 5. lots of going on in one location. game just screws up and it quits. 6. memory leaks. look at your advancedhook log. if you see Code: C0000005 thats a general memory leak error. you cannot fix it. you can do things to make it take longer to happen. right now im at ~1hr before it dies on me. 7. corrupted/improper game files. missing a single digit in a config file will make the game quit. that's also an SMP error 8. having ANY car stored in a parking spot safehouse will likely SMP you to no end whenever that car is referenced by the game 9. enbs bloat the game making you reach your memory leak faster.

Due to horrible confusion agencies are now going away from the 10- dispatch and just talking it out. 104 is now affirm or copy. and so forth. also they are NOT standard. agencies have their own meanings so 1018 here doesn't mean the same there. if anything we should focus on CAD vs voice dispatch (yes its cool but... its just that). Now imagine if you can combine the VXD addons, the lcpd computer overlay, the stock gta map and els into the car computer.... you press E and it get to toying around in there

Here we go, something that finally makes sense. Could be an update indeed. Since i update any install before i put anything else on it. I should try with a base early win 7 release and see if that works. then if it does work, update that and see if it still works. it could be as odd as the dotnets. they are different for 7 and xp and up to a different update versions as well. Alright back to happy gtaing for me under xp till and if this is figured out.

Then explain why it works on XP but not on 7? both are fresh installations. It is the only mod that does not work under 7 from what i've noticed. In my original post i stated i've exhausted all conventional issues. Why are 30 people repeating them one by one as if i somehow didn't try that? Eh?

What a pain. Had to install XP. Guess what... IT WORKS. Just doesn't work on 7 ultimate 64 bit. It is the OS or the ELS or something in the way it is coded. Not sure how but even used my old gta installation (old as in 1 hour old) that i put under 7... setup did something and didn't change anything to the install. heh, except that im now missing the savegames folder. So i might have to wipe it yet again Anyway, els drama "solved"

tried all that. no change. even installed gta on another drive in case it was some program files protection thing from windows. nada. dsound or xlive. no effect on ELS. tried both, different versions. same result. i know the .asi works because other asi mods load and function. except this bloody thing. the console log always says using els: false as well. if that is an indication of anything. version 6 and 6.1 are exactly the same. you get them from the gtapolicemods site, under luxart. somebody asked yet it says its loaded. Ran it flawlessly on XP. Short story I am now on 7 64 bit. Everything works perfect, and i mean every single mod script hook you name it; works. Except ELS. The menu will not show and none of the ALT commands do anything. Holding J/K for random periods will activate primary and secondary lights but that's about it. Sometimes it takes a few seconds for that to happen. i have tried every possible solution i have ever read of or thought of, everything with no result. My only available option is to dual boot XP and run GTA on that. Anybody else gotten ELS 5/6/6.1 to work on windows 7 64bit?

Good. So that's a few more than i would think given that this is GTA after all. I suspect the lack of xbox/ps support weeds a lot out. When i had the choice years ago i went with officer of the court. peace officer would have been more dynamic but you start as jailer with 18k and 20k 2nd year. 1st deputy is like 24 AND up to 32 after 7 years service. That was/is simply income i could not survive on.. I have no regrets although if i were in another better paying area I would have picked the enforcement side. Though I cant complain the view from the office is bad where i am at.

Your video card is out of memory or too slow to load textures (usually BOTH). less than 2gb you will have lots of issues. even then you WILL get texture lag esp on bridges which are murder to render. takes a lot of power to run gta4 somewhat normally. its how they ported the game.

ENBs look different computer to computer. I think i tried your prior release (if it wasnt from you i apologize, it is hard to keep track) and the issues were: 1. daytime light reflections looked like total crap. looks fine when dark but lol @ daytime. it's easy to get night settings on light bounce anyway 2. daytime it was completely washed out (as is the case with most enbs). so i reverted back to mine that is something of a hybrid between CGE 3 and CGE 4.0 beta with other tweaks hopefully you fixed the above 2 issues before releasing this one
