There are a lot of vanilla simulators coming out of germany recently. farming simulator, construction simulator... and a ton others. they aren't simulators, just a quick code thrown together. so no, i refuse to try this one too. been let down too many times. going completely offtopic here, anybody remember ship simulator? developers killed it by choking community support. but it had potential. just needed free world/bigger maps/navigation etc.
  4. not sure if mentioned so far, but can you save light patterns for each car model? like noose uses patterns xyz, polpatriot uses bvzy and so forth it does become a pain to get some pri and sec to work together over and over after repeated game crashes (one of these days)
  5. then you have something else going on. there should be no texture reload after pause - game never unloads those or the actual world itself check for garbage running in the background of your os or you lack vga ram. 3gb will solve almost all texture buffering delays
  6. Here is a hack you can use that usually prolongs its life. Whenever you are not doing anything, say going for a cup o tea, bring the game out to map menu and leave it there. it pauses all game functions and clears traffic paths and other non essential things going on. its like a simple pause but does so much more internally. also set els flash delay to .2 to .5 that will really help with els crashes also do not put in modded vehicles in game. only the current player vehicle should be 3rd party. traffic density should be no higher than 30... it matters not what your computer can handle. game internally combusts with too much going on.
  7. available on gta4mods. then there is also the zombie thing and the prison riot thing. so you have 3 things that do what you want. The AI complexity of what you want is not possible in gta. Other games achieve that by prescripting cinematics to show the things you are thinking of, but that removes player control and randomness. Such free will of NPCs hasn't been created yet.
  8. Its the memory leak that was never fixed by rockstar Things like mods affect it yes. Hardware seems to also trigger it more than others. I can go 10 minutes or 10 hours till crash. Depends what i am doing, where in teh city i am, how many cars around me, how many suspects, how many els cars, what cars/models i have loaded etc. everything and anything affects it. there is no cure.

  10. VAGCOM should be able to remove that on even the latest MY.. Although im not sure there are many places in the world where you can use 130-140mph speed so you sometimes drive your dads issued le car. sure. :)
  11. GTA has never been about looks. Come on guys, you know that already. Hopefully rockstar doesnt pull an EA on us a la simcity5 and kill the franchise. Without mods, gta is sorta meh.. every version. no exception.
  12. They couldnt pay me to drive one as a private vehicle... An evoque.. interesting. I have a rover, one of the real ones they no longer build. It likes the woods :) Can't see buying a new one though. If i go with the street unibody lifted car approach, i prefer Gl, Q7 and other equally useless and expensive to maintain vehicles.

  14. yep popcycle. there are a few out there that have already been adjusted for traffic and peds based on time of day which i highly recommend even if you dont edit anything. i built on that to get my cops and a few other details right. now i am happy!
  15. This happens because gta has too many cops. you can edit their numbers. Right now i need to call for backup as in most zones ive set them to 1 car and 0 ped npc. default is ~12 times that (6 cars 6 peds)
  16. This is great. There is this one hotdog stand near one of my traffic spots and that npc yells constantly. some of these are fresh fresh fresh. aaaaaaaaah! It carries on for miles.
  17. They all basically have this as home screen: calls not responded to, calls responded to and what units are there. It really is lines and lines of text designed to be very data friendly. it IS very distracting. Then you may or may not have all the various modules such as reports, maps, dispositions etc etc. It can be endless really if your network can handle it. My county uses the 1980 dos interface, hand/office written reports.
  18. I am glad it has been brought back from being dead.. It was clear to a few that the project was stalled. Iam happy it is being worked on again as some things really needed addressing.
  19. game is located in liberty city so............. yeah. city and that one trooper skin that i really like.

  21. BS! 99% of the bugs on that map are caused by him using objects.ini to force load them into gta with the trainer. GTA doesn't know what to do with it. So this also results in errors with anything that spawns objects (citation pad etc. you name it)
  22. crashes are part of gta. everybody crashes, some just longer than others. most due to the never corrected memory issues sometimes i can go for 10 minutes and it will quit, sometimes for 20 hours (yep). depends on what cars you are using, whats loaded as traffic, traffic density, els or not etc. scripts generally do not crash the game, they crash themselves and stop running.
  23. Never tried to repair it.. Backed images work fine with the same installation but when i tried to put them into new ones, they wouldnt. Installing the same content into the virgin ones takes care of it. One of these things i guess
  24. corrupted vehicles.img file get the original and start again even if you backup your modded one, it will likely not work with a new install of gta. i had that happen too.. game is a buggy pos
