Rage will not launch. I can open it and it pulls up the settings menu, but when I click save and launch nothing happens. No crash message, no error, nothing. I can load into the game normally, but none of my mods are present and trying rage from there results in the same thing, no launch. I have redownloaded GTA, done everything on a fresh install, I have tried everything, I cannot figure out what is even happening. Someone please help.

Rage hook crashes on game startup with the error “insufficient permissions or bad anti virus”. After having just been installed on my new PC. At first I was having the “attempted to read or write protected memory” error so I went to my antivirus and made an exception for my gta folder, and then rage hook started throwing this error up. Also, I’ve tried simple fixes such as, -set permissions -run as administrator -launch rage after launching gta none have worked. Any ideas? I've seen that it could be a ram issue? But i never had it until the contract update.

Yes, everything is up to date and I even rebuilt everything from the ground up. Verified my files, deleted and reupdated GTAV.exe, all of that. Even on a fresh install with no mods my gta had the “corrupt game data” problem.

Updated to newest version, updated all mods. Everything ran fine. But now it has just randomly broken, giving me a corrupted game file error on startup, and rage says the version (2545) isn’t supported. Uninstalled and reinstalled, and the error persisted on a clean install. I don’t know what else to try. Even with Just rage installed it crashes to desktop immediately.

GTA crashes to desktop after newest update with "Exception access violation", attached is the rage log. it worked fine, then i added the new EUPFR and it refuses to launch, with or without it. I'm not sure what else it could be. RagePluginHook.log EDIT: EUPFR was causing the crash, not sure how. Game runs fine now that it’s been removed completely.

I’m able to get into the game by taking my mods folder out, however with the mods folder in rage gives me an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOALTION error, and I can’t get pass the legal warnings on the startup screen before crashing to desktop. I’ve updated LSPDFR, Scripthook, Rage, and my Update.Rpf and DLCLIST is up to date as well.

UPDATE: I figured out why, Ultimate Backup and Stop the Ped has an update which adds a brand new flashlight functionality native to STP. That’s what was throwing the switch for PWF. Even though I haven’t updated those two yet, somehow it was causing it to crash. I updated UB and STP and I have all the functionality of PWF plus some, and no crashes.

Thank you, but that's not needed. I found the problem. FOR ANYONE ELSE HAVING THIS PROBLEM MAYBE THIS WILL WORK FOR YOU Persistent Weapon Flashlight caused the crash. I have no idea why, there were no clues in my log, but I took it out and the game works perfectly.

LSPDFR Crashes to desktop upon loading into the game. have no idea why, removed all other plugins lspdfr related, the crash is just induced by base lspdfr. RagePluginHook.log

I had no idea FR was updated on the 18th. Updated and that fixed. Weird that it didn’t break until my drivers were updated though. Thanks for the help anyway guys haha.

I’ll do that when I get home, thanks. And as far as plugins go, I have Spike Strips V, KTFDO, Cop Holster, EUP Menu, and of course LSPDFR. Addons are UB, STP, Traffic Policer, LSPDFR+, and two more.

Rage loads in fine, can play gta uninterrupted, but when I go on duty, my game crashes to the desktop. The only thing different I’ve done between when it worked, and when it didn’t was update my graphics drivers. Uninstalled the drivers, and reinstalled, and that didn’t work. Uninstalled and reverted, that didn’t work either. Heres my log. RagePluginHook.log

Okay I was actually able to get rid of it and keep it gone. So, if I remove scripthook I can load into the game, but with out els and all of that and without my mods folder being read. With scripthook, I’m stuck on waiting for game window.

No I know what to delete, I’m saying for whatever reason my pc either isn’t deleting it or is copying it. I can’t get rid of it

Ok, so, this is frustrating. No matter how many times I delete asisupport. It keeps showing back up. I’ve deleted from my directory 3 times now and it just keeps duplicating itself.

I am perpetually stuck on “waiting for game window” with scripthookv installed.

I removed it. I don’t know what else to say

Thanks, but sadly it’s not that. On the bright side I’ve got all my cars back and ready to go. Now the game just needs to recognize my mods folder. I think it’s scripthook is my problem. Because the ASI to allow modified rpfs isn’t loading. So as soon as that does I’m good. But idk what’s causing scripthook to act up.

Can’t seem to find that log file. Very weird. Never mind, I’m just really stupid lol asiloader.log

Was able to get lspdfr to work, it was an update for STP and UB. Now the problem lies with getting the game to recognize my mods folder. Yes, I installed the two Asi’s, uninstalled them, reinstalled them, and nothing seems to work. I deleted everything, all my mods, started from scratch, made a new mods folder and it still refuses to work. Also, scripthook doesn’t work for some reason, I have to remove it for the game to load up.
