The thing with the Vapid rear-lights is that you really do not notice anything being wrong until you drive behind one for some while. Took me a while. Neither did I find a download for the Vapid that has front lights in the windshield too.

What is the mod that changes the Mini-Map to show street signs? It is a lot easier when trying to locate your friends in multiplayer. I have seen it in youtube videos, yet I do not know the name of it.

Is there now any mod that has VAPID Cruiser with grill/pushbar ligths in addition to sun visor lights? Or maybe a marked cruiser with more than just a lightbar lights? And having models where also unmarked cars spawn is not a problem since many depts have added lightbars to their unmarked ones, thus leading into plain colored cars with lightbars, nothing odd there. I have two main gripes now, First being this, as you can see, the lights aren't visible to the rear. Only to the player, whose view is from upward angle. However, when you are looking directly from behind, for example driving a car after this model, you can't see the emergency lights. They are too low behind the trunk door. In this picture, they are covered by that arcing trunk, from both sides. Second of all, is it possible to have more lights into this model? The amount of lights is 8 that are allowed to every car, this has only four. Maybe a set of lights two the mirror and rear window, to the sides of the traffic advisor? Yes, doing dangerous things like paperwork and speed traps. I have been on the official side of law enforcement and I have been a firefighter. Let me tell you, we get enough appreciation. People always give that "unsung heroes" praise bullshit. You know what we do most of the time? Hang out and talk. How often do we risk our lives? Maybe once or twice in our careers. If even that often. Why do cops and firefighters die? Because they are idiots. Go on and check out the stats for deaths. Most of them are due to traffic accidents, death for not wearing a seatbelt is a common one. Cardiac arrest for a firefighter who has not taken care of his condition is also a very favored way to go. So these "heroes" die because they can't do their own job properly that they would hit the gym or click the seatbelt in. How rarely I fight fire? So rarely that it hardly becomes a routine. Maybe 10 times a year? And we are a very busy station. When we do, it is somethings small time. If we hit the big one, we do it by the procedure and tactics where everyone is safe. It is a job like every other job, there is nothing fancy in it and it certainly is not dangerous. The training and teamwork makes it safer than anything. I have felt unsafe a couple of times, and that was due to incompetent idiots, not the conditions. I have felt more unsafe working the construction or driving a car in the traffic. Ambulance calls, using the broom in the traffic accident, directing traffic, cleaning trucks, putting out a dumpster fire etc, there are the daily calls. If my fellow firefighters would keep a track on their personal fitness, in United States the deaths would fall about 80%. LEt that sink in. The firefighters are fat and unfit and thus they get cardiac arrests. In my old home, in Finland, where we have mandatory yearly physical fittness test for maintaining your position, guess when we last lost a firefighter? 1997. For structural collapse. Boom. We are not heroes anymore than anyone else. Forget that "only the best can do it". Bullshit, most firefighters that I know are certainly not the best. Keep yourself in good physical condition and possess enough skills to read and write? Good, you are now fit to be a good firefighter. Last, but not least, is that it is a healthy trait to express doubt against those people that can use deadly force in the name of the law. They are public servants appointed to that office by the public itself, thus the public should always keep checks on them. And don't give me that "you just hate cops" thing. No, I do not.

That american Ford Interceptor just reminds me A LOT of the european Ford Mondeo. Finnish Police has been using Ford Mondeos for 20 years and the newest model looks suspiciously like the interceptor. It is not, since Ford Mondeo is sold also as a sedan and station wagon for normal civilian market. I suppose a lot of the look of the Police INterceptor has been drawn from the Mondeo. Yes, it is sad when time moves forward. In my opinion, we should have T-Model cop cars still. I understand how people miss things that go by and have fond memories. However, there has to be progress where newer, smarter and more fuel-efficient cars come out. That "ugly aerodynamics and computer operated" car propably ends up costing the tax-payers a lot less each year. While performing its intended duty better.

Oohh shiii... are you implying that all these hours of listening to siren have been in vain and there is an option for this? To be honest, would be pretty hard to play the game without out know. It feels so natural and the basic game feels very bare. Having Bravehearts script in Multiplayer would be a christmas landed early.

It would be nice to have the simple option of just keeping your lights on, instead of siren and lights. Playing the game for hours, the siren really starts to get on your nerves, especially if you just wanna drive after your buddy who is running after a perp. Since our group rarely uses ELS; we are just stuck with listening to the ear-wrecking sound, hour after hour.

A LIST OF LIBERTY CITY PUBLIC SAFETY VEHICLES (Instead of Buttfuck, Montana, USA, deputy cars) There is no drought in the cars and light mods and what not offered for GTA4 and EFLC. The biggest trouble, in my opininon, is that we who play in multiplayer, rarely want to use ELS. That already narrows some really good mods down a lot. The second is that atleast the group I play in, does not want to use Nowhere, USA, sheriffs car or what not. We are playing in Liberty City, thus having all Liberty City equipment is what we also want. I see that there are lists for non-ELS and ELS cars and there was also a request for LCPD liveries. However, I thought I would start a list of the best cars meant for Liberty City and nothing else. Mainly police cars, but also some other. Instead of being an endless list, one added criteria would be something of interest, such as very nice non-ELS lights or something other. I for example like the FDLC Ambulance down there, since it added a ton of lights to the vanilla ambulance, instead of just the couple in the front.
