Each FHP car has a sensor, like those that automatically turn on headlights, so that it automatically turns the bar to red in the day, and blue at night. Why? Several studies found that red stands out more in the day, and blue stands out more at night. Each car also has an override, so that the officer can switch the colors.

Policing tactics have been updated since Columbine, 9/11, and the Aurora CO shooting. It USED to be that when there was an active shooter, patrol units would back off and call for SWAT/TRU/ERU. That resulted in too many casualties. Now, officers are taught to find and remove the threat as they arrive to save more lives.. That is why they carry AR-15s. With the technology today in anybody's hands, they have to be able to match the weapons and armor of the shooter. And sure your town doesn't have crime. However, the crime rates cannot predict where and when a disgruntled person will turn into an active shooter. Aurora didn't expect a gunman - I HIGHLY doubt they have movie theater shootings often. The only thing to do is prevent and react. And by the way, most departments won't be adding military grade equipment. The Department of Defense has paused their program(in which they give surplus military equipment to LE agencies) until a full count of who has what for each state is completed. p.s my SO has ARs, and they never use them. If there was a situation in which they were needed, I'm glad they have them to use. Plus, it's legal to own your own ar-15. If a regular citizen can, why can't a law-abiding, clean record police officer? That would be a double standard.

I seem to have one problem. I respond to the incidents, work them, but the markers for auto accidents seem to stay after I press ALT+DEL/SHIFT+DEL. Other than that, it's awesome! Only LCPDFR conflict is when I try to arrest someone, they cower even after pressing E at gunpoint.

Here's a statement from the incident that led to his and Officer Sarnicki's firing: (note: the person who wrote this printed off 100s of copies and put on every windshield of every car in town.) He apparently tried to pull the kid over for not stopping at a stop sign. Kid didn't see him, rookie thought it was a pursuit, called in PD, SO, NDHP, and USBP. He aimed his service weapon at the kid's head, which if he had shot, would go straight through to the passenger's body. FAIL.

Being in public safety I deal with them plenty! One night I woke up and looked outside. The house across the road was surrounded by sheriff's deputies, ambulances, and fire trucks. Being a town of 1000 people, i drove down to the fire station to see what was up. I pulled up to the stop sign right before the station and saw a cop sitting there. He was fairly new and didn't know me. I turned left to go to the station and he followed. He pulled me over and came up to talk to me. My window was broken, so I had to open the door. We chatted and then he took my license to run. He was sitting in the rand new CV ( i never shut my door) and gets on the PA. Suddenly, I hear "DRIVER, STAY IN THE VEHICLE!" "DRIVER, SHUT YOUR DOOR!" so I did what was told. I don't think a 16 year old that works for the local EMS is going to run, but what ever. I did tell my boss (Who is the undersheriff) and he laughed. Needless to say, that cop AND his friend are gone after an almost shooting of an innocent college kid.
