Folks,
Anyone having issues playing in a multiplayer or even single player GTA IV using LCPDFR 1.1+? Upon entering a game lobby, reloading scripts takes multiple minutes and crashes the game or times out. Or without reloading scripts, it simply freezes the game in what I believe is an attempt to connect to LCPDFR servers. This only happened recently, in the past few weeks. On inspecting the LCPDFR.log, it looks like there's some sort of server timeout, which is why I think it's a LCPDFR server or something similar. Solutions?

Are you wanting the wig wags to be part of the model, so they cannot be removed by other users? Or do you just want the strobe effect? There's a variety of ways to do it.
You can either create extra 5 and extra 6 to put a permanent wig-wag effect on the model. You can use ELS (in the config file) or you can use the strobe light script, although it only adds environmental effects.

Well, this is what I have so far. Some pretty obvious bugs... But I'll fix those later.

There's 2 Whelen Avengers (single versions, not dual) in back: Pic
Also lightbar is suppose to have led takedowns in the middle 2 modules, not halogen ones: Pic. Also scale down the lightbar on the Y axis. It might be easier to use EVI's liberty since it's already scaled down and you can easily merge in the led takedowns.
And rotate the POLICE and University of Oregon so it matches the bodylines and looks straight with the car: Pic
Hmm, thanks for the pics and advice. The takedowns are LED, but this is the Whelen Liberty SX, so the takedowns are separated, not in the middle like the regular Liberty. Never been a huge fan of EVI's Liberty, so I'll probably stick with this one, and just note in the credits that the lightbar version of the Liberty is slightly different. But I really appreciate your insight on the specifics. It took my more time than I care to admit to create the skin, just trying to figure out how I want to create the text edges/lines. I'll fix that in the final version.
Do you know if the Avengers are dual-color? Or single red (left) and blue (right)? -
Hello all,
Showing a sneak peak at a new vehicle I'm working on. I've got 90% of it done, ready to release, but I'm missing a couple things.
First, it's going to be a 2014 Ford Taurus Police Interceptor, for the University of Oregon Police Department. However, I can find no good pictures of the rear of the Taurus, to see what lighting they have for sure. I have an idea... but I would like it to be accurate. Here's what I have so far.
Let me know if you have any insight or pictures! I'm not wanting to deviate from the real life counter-part, so no I won't be adding any lights that aren't actually in the vehicle. Thanks.

Folks,
Back again with another question. It's been a problem I've been facing for quite some time. I'm re-modeling one of my Chargers, and I haven't been able to overcome this obstacle. With the Charger model I'm using, I'm unable to put lights behind the grill, and have the emissive light show up in game. The actual module (base/glass) shows up through the grill just fine, just not any flashing lights.
As you can see in the picture, I can get it to work if I remove/delete part of the grill. But I don't know how to fix it. Suggestions? I'm still pretty new to modeling... you may need to break it down for me.
Thanks,
Ninja

Hello,
I am having issues adding a front and back license plate to a vehicle I'm modeling (can upload pics if necessary). I take a license plate form another vehicle, export it as a wft, and import it into the project I'm working on (better way?). I create a new texture, and map it to that, because I can't figure out how to map it to the regular car livery. It shows up in OpenIV, but won't show up in-game. I'm not that great with technical terms in Zmod... could use some help. Thanks!

Folks,
Working on a 2015 Mustang. Modeled after the real life counterpart, which is part of the Marion County Sheriff's Office - Traffic Safety Team. Still a few lights to add, and small things here and there... but just a little preview.

Hi folks,
I'm back again, this time with a strange problem I've never encountered. While modeling a Charger, I am using the front turn signals as red/blue LED's. The red LED works perfect, but the blue for some reason is flashing a dark green (more of a black with a hint of green). It shows as green/black in Zmodeler, but shows as blue (like it's suppose to do) in OpenIV. But once I get in-game, it flashes green/black. Here's some pictures.
What it' looks like.

What it's SUPPOSE to look like.

I'm talking about the added components, you really should attach them to one part. And yes, they have to. All glass parts should be at bottom of the hierachy, that way there won't be problems. On exporting, ZMod sorts the materials using the hierachy. So if all glass parts are loaded after all other materials, there should be no problems. You probably have to take a look at the LODs as well, maybe there's glass as well. If you understand how the glass works, it's actually even possible to use it to hide certain things, which is useful for example for multicolored lights.
I can't say I completely understand you. Most things I've got to work (in previous models as well) is mainly by luck and minimal knowledge.
Also, depending on what I do to the model (trying different ways to fix the rear deck lights) I get an RC20 error. Occasionally after some changes I can fix it. But now I'm not even sure what's going on anymore.

Thought I'd share. Wig-wags/flashers are turned off for the video. FYI.
All of these cars are public, I believe.
