  21. Correct. I joined the community half a yeah ago so I was not there for the drama, but the long development time is due to some events. I can't remember, but it was illness or some conflicts between the devs or something.

  27. I get CTD and LSPDFR crashes when I access vehicle or ped info in Computer+. Half the time it works, half the time it crashes. I have disabled ped and vehicle pictures, as well as the random ped history. I have tried disabling all other plugins, except LSPDFR, LSPDFR+ and Computer+. This plugin needs some updating...
  28. Please post your fix, for future reference.
  29. As far as I can tell 0.4 introduces heavy changes to the entire LSPDFR system, namely the new crime system. I am under the impression that this will break compatibility with most 0.3 mods. I would imagine that the only mods that might work are the very simple ones, such as mods that calm peds around you or mods that lets you place basic objects into the game world. Anything more complicated than that would most likely require an update or even a complete rewrite. I'm rather new in this community (3 days old in fact...), so I don't know if this is the case, but the LSPDFR team might release API documentation ahead of time, so that modders can start updating ahead of time. From my limited understanding, I believe that 0.4 provides a more robust underlying system to manage and control crimes and so-called crime events. Most of the stuff that mods had to take care of themselves are now being taken care of by LSPDFR, so that mods have a better way of exchanging information. I am so excited it hurts. I would recommend starting fresh with 0.4, and see which mods are getting updated from there. Cosmetic mods should be fine. Cars and clothes should still work, with few exceptions. It's stuff like callout plugins and heavy mods, such as LSPDFR+, Computer+, TrafficPolicer, Arrest manager etc. that is most likely to completely break.
  30. FOR ANYONE EXPERIENCING CRASHES: POSSIBLE FIX! I found that with newer versions of the game, this mod doesn't work. This is due to some missing sound files in the mod's "vehicles" folder. I don't understand much about game updates (I've only been modding for two days lol), but it seems that Rockstar have changed the name of some sound files with some update. I installed this mod two days ago, and like so many others it crashed on startup. In the console it states that the file "0x0D329446.wav" i missing. I then went to my vehicles folder, copied some random sound file and renamed it, so that the file would exist for the mod. It then complained about another file, and after duplicating and renaming again a third file was missing. I kept going, and found 13 files were missing. After duplicating and inserting 13 times the mod finally loaded! STEP 1: MISSING FILES Here's a list of the files that are missing: 0x0D329446.wav 0x0EA58C7C.wav 0x1C98C4D5.wav 0x144C8602.wav 0x159C9182.wav 0x161768E7.wav 0x14BFBCE3.wav 0x0A8960B6.wav 0x0A49B203.wav 0x013F5FE7.wav 0x17DDFB5C.wav 0x0E0DA7BC.wav 0x16E74B3E.wav You should pick any one .wav file from your vehicles folder, copy it to the desktop, and then rename it and copy it back to the vehicles folder. Rename and copy for all the files on the list. I recommend taking some easily recognisable sound file for duplication. I dug around in the vehicles folder and found the beeping sound of a reversing truck. For added comedic effect, chose the file "FART.wav". The sound you pick will be the siren of any vehicle not properly configured for SirenMastery. More on that later. STEP 2: FINDING SIRENS The next thing is to find the correct siren and horn sounds in the vehicles folder. These files shall be copied to the mod's CustomSirens folder. Here's list of the original files of the vehicles folder, and their new name in the CustomSirens folder. For example, "oldsiren -> newsiren" states that the file "oldsiren.wav" shall be copied from the vehicles folder to the CustomSirens folder, and then renamed "newsiren.wav". SIREN_WAIL_01 -> S1_1 SIREN_WAIL_02 -> S1_2 SIREN_WAIL_03 -> S1_3 SIREN_WAIL_04 -> S1_4 SIREN_PA20A_WAIL -> S1_5 SIREN_FIRETRUCK_WAIL_01 -> S1_6 SIREN_QUICK_01 -> S2_1 SIREN_QUICK_02 -> S2_2 SIREN_QUICK_03 -> S2_3 SIREN_QUICK_04 -> S2_4 SIREN_2 -> S2_5 SIREN_FIRETRUCK_QUICK_01 -> S2_6 POLICE_WARNING -> S3 AIRHORN_EQD -> H_1 CAR_HORN_MED_9 -> H_2 LARGE_TRUCK_HORN -> H_3 STEP 3: XML The last thing to do, is telling SirenMastery which sound files goes to which sirens of what vehicles. This is done in the "VehicleSirenSetup.xml" file. I have made a file that creates sirens for all emergency vehicles in the game. I tried my best to find the correct sounds of the vanilla cars. I also added sirens to the fire truck and ambulance. Here's my VehicleSirenSetup.xml: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <SirenMastery> <!--Group 1--> <VehicleSirenSetup DefaultFor="PoliceCar"> <VehicleModel>POLICE</VehicleModel> <VehicleModel>POLICE2</VehicleModel> <VehicleModel>POLICE3</VehicleModel> <VehicleModel>POLICE4</VehicleModel> <VehicleModel>POLICET</VehicleModel> <VehicleModel>POLICEOLD1</VehicleModel> <VehicleModel>POLICEOLD2</VehicleModel> <VehicleModel>PRANGER</VehicleModel> <VehicleModel>LGUARD</VehicleModel> <VehicleModel>SHERIFF</VehicleModel> <Sirens> <Siren1 SirenType="Primary">S1_1</Siren1> <Siren2 SirenType="Secondary">S2_1</Siren2> <Siren3 SirenType="Secondary">S3</Siren3> <Siren4 SirenType="Horn">H_1</Siren4> </Sirens> </VehicleSirenSetup> <!--Group 3--> <VehicleSirenSetup DefaultFor="PoliceBike"> <VehicleModel>POLICEB</VehicleModel> <VehicleModel>SHERIFF2</VehicleModel> <Sirens> <Siren1 SirenType="Primary">S1_3</Siren1> <Siren2 SirenType="Secondary">S2_3</Siren2> <Siren3 SirenType="Secondary">S3</Siren3> <Siren4 SirenType="Horn">H_1</Siren4> </Sirens> </VehicleSirenSetup> <!--Group 6--> <VehicleSirenSetup> <VehicleModel>FBI</VehicleModel> <VehicleModel>FBI2</VehicleModel> <Sirens> <Siren1 SirenType="Primary">S1_6</Siren1> <Siren2 SirenType="Secondary">S2_6</Siren2> <Siren3 SirenType="Secondary">S3</Siren3> <Siren4 SirenType="Horn">H_1</Siren4> </Sirens> </VehicleSirenSetup> <!--Ambulance--> <VehicleSirenSetup> <VehicleModel>AMBULANCE</VehicleModel> <Sirens> <Siren1 SirenType="Primary">S1_6</Siren1> <Siren2 SirenType="Secondary">S2_6</Siren2> <Siren3 SirenType="Secondary">S3</Siren3> <Siren4 SirenType="Horn">H_2</Siren4> </Sirens> </VehicleSirenSetup> <!--Fire truck--> <VehicleSirenSetup> <VehicleModel>FIRETRUK</VehicleModel> <Sirens> <Siren1 SirenType="Primary">S1_6</Siren1> <Siren2 SirenType="Secondary">S2_6</Siren2> <Siren3 SirenType="Secondary">S3</Siren3> <Siren4 SirenType="Horn">H_3</Siren4> </Sirens> </VehicleSirenSetup> </SirenMastery> This will give all emergency vehicles a wail on siren 1, fast wail on siren 2, and yelp on siren 3. Siren 4 is the horn. If you find any vehicle to use that sound you picked for duplication in step one, this means that the vehicle is not properly configured for Siren Mastery. It might be missing in the XML then. This works for me at least! I have no modded vehicles in my game (yet!), but I will hope that any police car will fall under the defaulted categories in the xml. I hope I was to any help. Cheers!
