World's getting tougher, people getting more desperate, media giving them huge coverage, other desperate and  / or unstable people see that and think they can get their 15 seconds of fame too, something like that. 
 
This year alone we had two school attacks in my country, a decade ago that was completely unheard of.

Trump could contribute to your local food pantries to feed the poor and people like you would still say he did nothing. Haters gonna hate. The sanctions and pressure from the US and China and various other NATO nations have forced him to play his cards. Odd's are he is just buying time and playing nice like always. What he did under Obama " Oh ya' ya' we will totally cease our nuclear program, no worry! ". After being threatened with nuclear obliteration his tune changed rather quickly. North could smush South Korea like an Iron fist, but now with the US standing by they know that is no longer an option. It's not ALL due to Trump, but i would say 1/3 if not 1/2 of it is. It's a shame your political bias and agression towards our current President prevent you from seeing things clearly. I bet if Bernie Sanders was in office you would be kissing his rear end praising this was a result of his work. Multiple peas to a pod, and this pod happens to be strong and conservative again. No worries, in 6 or so years maybe we can go back to passive governing and socialized medicine and all the stuff the commies and liberals here in the US want so badly. 
 
What every modern liberal / democrat / lefty / African American Community wants to do to Trump, you would fit right in America, hating on Trump because you dislike Capitalism or our awesome country or something doesn't help anything. On the 8th of November a big change happened here in the United States. And it's for the better, it's for a better America. Because honestly most Americans are only concerned with AMERICA. Hence America First.

I find it way too odd that after 2 years of permanent defiance, nuclear tests and missile launches he suddenly wants to make peace like that. There must be an agenda behind all this. Kim might be somewhat a psycho, but he's far from being stupid. Wait and see, but it's way too sudden and out of the blue to be completely honest in my opinion. 

Well, seems like he figured out that being remembered as the leader who ended the 50 year long hostility and saved the world from a nuclear war is much better than being vaguely known as "another one of the Kims from North Korea". Got to give credit where credit is due.
