So hello my name is august .. I have made a plugin called project Aurora sounds cringe ahh but meh.
WHAT DOES THIS MOD DOES?
1: has basic stuff like menu etc
2: it is use to inject ur addon cars or base car into agency.xml and duty_selection.xml
(Now you would be asking what do these do like wtf is this dumbass talking about) Have u ever tried to take a car any car that's from base game like not police cars just simple ones like npc drives when u enter with it in the garage it game crashes .. it's cuz those car models are not it in ur XML files same with addon cars.
3:what the plugin does is simply takes those model names and injects them into the files as I said ..
4:(what's the point dumbass just use a trainer to spawn them) well those agency and duty XML files make them addon cars or any cars spawn in the world like in police traffic roaming around their jurisdiction etc .. plus u can have fleat of cars in ur police garage just go on duty and then garage and get them plus of u put them back in garage game won't crash
FEARURES
1:it has good ui I think
2:easy to inject cars u can like do it through the menu like give them their own names etc but the model name has to be same as the base or addon car.
3:tells you if there is a duplicate in your XML files
4:get in car press L key to see the car model and name press N key to inject them into XML files
5:dw about chances % they all gonna add up to 100


If anyone is interested in testing it pls dm me also I'm not trying to be rude that would be lovely if some who can know how XML files works can test it

Ok I thought Zenetae changed their name, appreciate all the help you give the community. Updating scripthook.net solved my issue.

do we know why this is causing an issue? ive never had this problem in the years ive been playing.

You are an angel  @UknownBastion.  Are you zenatae by chance?

You do, it's outside the mods folder in the update.rpf just drag it to the desktop then go to the same location it should go in your mods folder. You can do that with anything in openiv if you need a vanilla file.

Go to visualsetting.dat and hit control F search car.def and raise the numbers slightly 

Oh I found this just after a day of posting this. I only got Adder supercar on that and no other car, will see

Verify your game files and it should download what you need. And use the RagePluginHook.exe from the lspdfr manual install

just download the latest version of LSPDFR and paste all the files into the GTA directory. Then it should work. RageHookPlugin is as far as I know already included in the LSPDFR download.

Not sure if it will fix it but I had a similar problem. I downloaded the manual install for lspdfr and use the rageplugin from there

Ok try right clicking, go to properties, security and hit edit.
Click full control. That's the only other thing I could think of.

That is insanely nice of you to offer, but I figured out the problem was a single broken ELS file that was just totally corrupting everything and crashing the whole game, downloading the new one solved the problem. Thank you for the help and generous offer.

Try this, I believe it helps out with what you're talking about. But edit your vehicle meta you need to  remove flag_big from any vehicle that has it . Use control F search flag_big and delete them then save it. Make a copy of the meta as a backup. Hope it helps

THANK YOU! I've got it now.

In open iv go to the dlc folder where the vehicle is and open the ytd. Look for the livery it usually have sign in the name right click hit replace and select the one you want to replace it with then save. It has to be a livery for that vehicles template or it will look all messed up. 

Most issues in the support forum could be solved by simply following installation directions or searching for other topics that have been made for the same problem and reading the solutions in those threads.
 
Just because there isn't enough support doesn't mean the community is dying.  It's nobody's job to solve your problems.  There are discord servers you can join to potentially receive faster support.
 
Perhaps you could make an effort to learn about the common issues people experience and begin providing support yourself.  The people who currently provide support weren't just born with the knowledge.
 
Honestly, the sense of entitlement is what will kill the community.

I'm editing some ELS vcf's but am wondering - Is it just a guessing game to figure out what ELS pattern does what? I can't find any resources explaining which numbers are what types of patterns. I don't mind testing myself, but is there a way to test on the fly without having to quit, edit the vcf, and start the game again to see a change?
 
EDIT: I'm dumb, you can scroll through the patterns in the ELS menu.....

does anyone know exactly location where this prop is in the open iv program??

LSPDFR outfits are located in lspdfr/data/custom, all the outfit_ .xml's you see will have the numbers inside for each outfit. I will attach a picture of a document so you can match them together with ultimate backups xml's.
