  1. Damn. should've taken the keys with him. Can't blame the officer, if I was responding to an emergency call or chasing a suspect, I'd leave my keys too to focus on the matter at hand.
  2. Maybe its overheating? Have you cleaned it out? I think the vents might be blocked up with dust. Here is what I got off a thread about this: I'm sorry to hear this. Please refer to our website here to make sure that the unit has the latest version of firmware: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/UN60ES8000FXZA If the unit is completely up to date, make sure that the unit has plenty of ventilation around the sides and the back of the unit. If it continues you can also try to reset the television: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber/popup/iframe/pop_troubleshooting_fr.jsp?idx=427141&modelname=UN55ES8000F&modelcode=UN55ES8000FXZA If it continues after performing all the steps above the unit may require service. Here’s the thread where you can get details on setting that up: http://forums.cnet.com/7723-13973_102-542437/service-issues-click-here-for-help/
  3. I would like to point out that no mod author or mod developer has any obligation to support it. They and other mod authors like you (love your mods btw) do this on their own time and accord and like you said, they get little to no financial gain and might get recognition. LSPDFR could've just been left at the 0.1 release and not been updated, but instead, we see it supported, I'll admit it has been a snail race to each update, but when we (hopefully) get to the 1.0 release, we'll look back and say "Damn, look how far this mod has come.". Compare LCPDFR 1.1 to LCPDFR 0.1. Massive difference. Quality takes time, quality takes work, works takes motivation. LSPDFR is like a romantic partner you meet, at first, it might be kinda awkward and painfully slow on the first date, but over time you develop that relationship into something special and remarkable. Bye t0y, I'll miss you and those great mods. Good luck with whatever you're gonna do later :)
  4. I only chose GTA V because as of now, I find it to be more versatile and modular in terms of modding. Great mods such as EUP, Menyoo, and other countless mods couldn't really be achieved in GTA IV. Also, GFWL, most annoying piece of shit ever. Also 5 star wanted level + Vladivostok FM = best thing ever. But if those were taken out of the equation, GTA IV hands down. Who doesn't like riding a boat off skyscrapers or getting spam called by Roman and yelling "YELLOW CAR!" NakeyJakey did a good vid on this: So all in all, GTA IV for fun and nostalgia, GTA V for modding.
  5. These are the new official revised figures, showing that London did not have a higher murder rate than New York City and only in February it overtook New York, and there was no news story about it. The only reason it is being reported was because of the frequency of the latest murders, being in quick succession. ( The figures don't take into account the State Of New York or New Jersey as it is not administered by the NYPD) and the New York only overtook London by minor numbers in February and March, but only in January was it so significant. So you could look at it as an equal murder rate between both cities with similar sizes (8.8 million or so roughly in both, give or take.) and populace. https://www.channel4.com/news/factcheck/factcheck-is-london-really-deadlier-than-new-york Also, New York is one of the LEAST deadliest cities in the US too.
  6. You could get a GTX 1060 for $269. https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GeForce-Graphic-GV-N1060G1GAM-3GD-R2/dp/B071K7X4D6/ref=pd_sbs_147_3?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B071K7X4D6&pd_rd_r=3JK66GR9PTTHB2Q792HC&pd_rd_w=QUqxF&pd_rd_wg=uVOcm&refRID=3JK66GR9PTTHB2Q792HC&th=1 I believe that is compatible with your motherboard.
  7. Depends, what GPU do you have, how much RAM?
  8. Haha! No problem, here to help out, just give me a shout when you need me!
  9. https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/lore-friendly-retro-emergency-vehicles-pack Here you go, not sure if it's a car pack or livery pack but it's worth checking out.
  10. 100% without a doubt NaturalVision Remastered. https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/naturalvision-photorealistic-gtav
  11. - Peds can now suffer 2 different types of seizures due to head trauma using the included meleeseizure.cs scripts-- your stereotypical convulsions may occur as well as stiffened fencing pose concussions (look it up) - Health/armor has been revamped using the included InjuredMovement.dll script by yoits3030 - armor now acts more as a regenerative pain-threshold your character can build in cover until it runs out from taking damage and his precious green health bar is shown - when you armor runs out, your character will stagger and limp about in a punch-drunk like manner (but still be fully capable of using all of their weaponry, driving, fighting, etc) until he waits long enough in cover for his head to clear and he can move properly again: about 4 seconds of regen time. Check yoits3030's actual mod page or read the included documentation for a proper write-up - Most bullets in real life pass through you like butter, not hit you with the force of a NFL linebacker - bullet force has been severely reduced on all non-DLC weaponry for a more realistic gunshot reaction from peds instead of throwing them back 1000 feet from even a .22 shot like default - this provides a much more cinematic (and horrifying) killing experience and you will certainly notice the difference between the weapon edits included and the DLC weaponry not included (for sake of easy install) - Peds killed while they're driving no longer spin out of control in seconds in unrealistic perfect U-turn circles - their swerve angles have been adjusted to go much more straight for more-realistic deaths behind the wheel - light up some cars on the highway and see for yourself - Light recoil has been applied to all non-DLC weaponry to give them all more of a kick - don't shoot like a moron and you'll be fine - Weaponry now penetrates many more physical materials based loosely off real world physics calculations - bullets tear through people like a hot knife through butter; many different metal and wood materials stand even less of a chance - The Heavy Sniper is no longer bitchmade and kills just about everything (including armored cops) in 1 shot like it should - Most weapons (except snipers) now use visible tracer rounds - Most weapons produce cinematic gun smoke and smoke trails from excessive firing Some excerpts from the feature list, it includes some nice weapon realism and health changes. For a mod with only weapon realism: https://www.gta5-mods.com/weapons/real-rage-weapons-and-damage-enhancer Enjoy!
  12. If you're into gore and other really hard gameplay: https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/zippo-raided-blood-gore If you read the feature list, it is quite extensive, might not be your ideal mod but doesn't hurt to give it a try, back up your current mods folder too.
  13. Well, try not calling too much backup when engaging in a firefight, only use a pistol and a use a rifle when you are engaging in large shootouts, not really much you can do, maybe try limiting your resources. Most people don't play LSPDFR for shootouts but rather for realism. Oh, also you can find in NaturalVision Remastered's optional folder (if you install it) an option to hide weapon reticle and damage overlay. A great mod I recommend, you should try it. You can just use the optional and that might make your firefights more unpredictable.
  14. Alright, let us look at the facts here: - The purpose of police is to preserve life, protect and serve the public, make arrests and uphold the law and bring justice. - The video does not show much after the man walks out of the frame, but he was quite aggressive to the two people in the beginning, and aggressively approached the police officer despite numerous commands to get down on the floor. - He had his pants down, and if I was the officer who showed up on the scene with no context on what happened, I'd think that the man was trying to rape someone, considering the man was walking after two people aggressively with his pants down. - The man was allegedly suffering from depression due to the murder of his 2 children by his partner. - The officer did not attempt to deploy a taser, which he could've, but in this situation, a man aggressively walking towards me would warrant me drawing my firearm. I believe that the footage and evidence presented so far is inconclusive due to the lack of evidence and context which has been presented. We need to wait for the official investigation before we draw definite conclusions, then we can make informed conclusions. On a side note, I am disgusted at how the media and spokespeople, whether his family or lawyers keeping calling this a shooting of another unarmed black man, black man this, black man, that which I find disrespectful because at the end of the day we are all human, we all bleed red, not black or white, but red, why can't we see this as a shooting of another person?
  15. Did a bit of poking around, apparently, it is a "stealth" police car. http://www.mcall.com/news/local/mc-police-stealth-cars-20140826-story.html I thought it was a gimmick from Battlefield Hardline when I played it, but it's actually a thing. Like you said, all or nothing.
  16. The New York state law on unmarked police cars restricts them from making traffic stops for routine motor vehicle offenses such as speeding and vehicle or registration violations, and since that is the main thing that troopers do, I guess they wanted the best of both worlds.
  17. I can see why the officer shot, but he should've demonstrated more constraint, he should've adapted to the situation as it went along and not shot prematurely unless there was a certain threat, which there really wasn't. At least they only wounded him, but there are too many interpretations that can be drawn.
  18. They're actually not unmarked, look at the sides. I don't know what they were going for, but this looks good either way. Still confused about those markings on the side.
  19. The shooting was not justified, it could've been averted in my opinion, I am not an expert on law enforcement procedures but here are my 2 cents. - The officer(s) should've ordered the driver to switch the engine off and put his hands on the dashboard where they can see them. - The driver was clearly agitated at getting questioned if he had a weapon in the vehicle, which shows that he either has something to hide or had a short temper. - The driver also refused to exit the vehicle on the premises that a strong scent of marijuana was coming from the car, he did not want the car to be searched or himself to be searched, which yet again, he probably had something to hide. - The officers were not in life-threatening danger, you can see at 3:20, the officer was quick enough to move but he started to fire even though he was out of the path of the car, and the shooting started at 3:21, with no threat to anyone around them, unless a dent in the patrol car is enough ground to wound him. - They were volunteer police officers and not full time so they were not as used to this situation (only a plausibility, not a fact). In conclusion: The shooting probably could've been averted had the officers asked the man to put his hands on the dashboard and switch off the engine. Completely justified if the driver came at them with the car, but that wasn't the case. Law abiding citizens who've done nothing wrong aren't going to dart from the police. The officers might've shot because he could've run them over, but at that angle, the car wouldn't be able to turn to hit the officers, and the driver would probably be dead had he tried that.
  20. This, without a doubt: https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/naturalvision-photorealistic-gtav Use the ENB from the "optionals" folder, also read the README. Minimal to no FPS loss :)
  21. I see now lol. I look back at my comment and I am confused as to why I chose this, maybe I was a bit biased because red is my favourite colour, looks disgusting. My preference has shifted to the sleek sexy unmarked BMW 7 Series.
  22. I replied to a thread like this not too long ago, here is what I said: Just in case you still haven't made your mind up yet, I've composed a list for you. Enjoy! ;) LSPD PACKS: Some Sherriff packs for you too, these include Highway Patrol and State Patrol: ALSO; this is a pack I recommend you to check out although they are liveries, I highly recommend for the nostalgic feel for all the agencies in the game:
  23. The biggest threat to the world is not terrorism (although it is a MAJOR threat we should acknowledge) but nuclear war. https://thebulletin.org/2018-doomsday-clock-statement "Although the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists focuses on nuclear risk, climate change, and emerging technologies, the nuclear landscape takes center stage in this year’s Clock statement. Major nuclear actors are on the cusp of a new arms race, one that will be very expensive and will increase the likelihood of accidents and misperceptions. Across the globe, nuclear weapons are poised to become more rather than less usable because of nations’ investments in their nuclear arsenals. This is a concern that the Bulletin has been highlighting for some time, but momentum toward this new reality is increasing." The issue we have today concerning terrorist attacks (aside from the unfortunate casualties and fatalities) is that they get widespread media attention, which is what the terrorists want. The definition of terrorism: "the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims." https://nypost.com/2018/01/25/doomsday-clock-is-closest-to-midnight-in-its-history/ Worst case scenario is nuclear terrorism. It's two minutes to midnight. The closest we've ever been since 1953, the height of the arms race, in the Cold War.
  24. I recommend you try DS4Windows, also have a look at: This will greatly help. I recommend, mouse and keyboard, more versatile, you'll get a hang of the bindings and better for shooting. Driving is fine for me, aircraft is a pain in the arse but I doubt you'll do much flying, it all comes down to personal preference anyway.
