Frooty got a reaction from Thor16 in How much would it cost for someone to set up lspdfr for me?I keep having problems, keeps on crashing and i got a bunch of outdated plugins. I'd rather just pay someone to get everything running with a setup that includes recommended plugins/mods.

Frooty got a reaction from DifficultPeak32 in [REL] Traffic Policer 6.9.1.0 (Speed Checker | Average & Radar |, Breathalyzer |Customisable alcohol limit|, DoorLock, Drugalyzer, Ambient events |Traffic Offences|, Traffic Callouts, Road Signs, Traffic Stop Assist |Mimic| & more)Traffic policer is not compatible with the latest version of GTA 5, please update this to work with the latest version of GTA 5 and it also said something about RPH... if you could check that also that would be great because this mod is NEEDED. :)

Frooty got a reaction from Spanglishking in Why was Ultimate Backup Removed?$2 not $20 lol and i understand that but he's still getting credit for the mod. He's not making money off of the mod so it shouldn't matter if people get the mods on this site or not.
All that's happening is people would share it on dropbox or mediafire or something and that would be it.
1. He's not losing credit of the mods
2. He's still getting credit and attention of the mods because of his name in the files and everyone knows he's the one that made the mods
3. He's not losing profit because he's not selling it.
4. People will still come here for issues and updates of the mod (if he ever releases the mod on here again that is)
I think he's really just trying to get people to apologize for being dumb asses, he knows his mods are big and most people use them so if people can no longer download his mods they can no longer leave dumb reviews and they will eventually beg for the mods and apologize. That's my hypothesis anyways, if it is true he's doing what i'm thinking then it's smart and i completely understand.

Frooty reacted to Reddington in Why was Ultimate Backup Removed? Here I thought putting .2 x 40 in calculator would pay off. #fuckmath
I understand how frustrating it is when people up and remove their shit, and it happens a bit more than needed, imo. What it ultimately comes down to though is respect. Yes, you "can" go and give it around to friends and what not, but when the author explicitly states they do not want you to do that, you should show them the respect they have earned. They made a mod that you love and are desperate to have, so the very least you can do is adhere to their wishes and not give it away like it's candy.
Personally, I'm in the same boat. If I made vehicles, I would only want people to get them from where I specifically uploaded them. Not only because it's my mod, but I want more traffic to my mod and more downloads. That brings up another point, when you pass it around to your friends, you're stealing traffic away from the official file, and you're stealing potential downloads. The download statistic might not seem important to most, but it does matter, and for some people, the number of downloads does influence whether or not they use a mod.
That said, I will say I made some enemies a while back when I started shitting on mod authors who rage quit LSPDFR and went over to some reject site. I still stand by everything I have said regarding that situation. It is petty to remove your mods simply because of a larger issue that is brought on by the community, not the staff, not the website. If you're curious about it, you can PM me. Not gonna go into a big thing about it here.

Frooty reacted to MrMook in Why was Ultimate Backup Removed?he ought to know most of the 1 star reviewers and what not are young kids and newbies who don't know any better. hopefully the dude gets over this and puts it back up again soon. for now someone should really throw this up on a third party website for the time being just so people still have access to it. that's just me, i know people will disagree

Frooty reacted to Kal74 in Plugins not being loadedBest thing for you to do is post the screenshots like you suggested. I would post a screen of your Main GTAV Folder, Plugins Folder and inside the Plugins Folder, open the LSPDFR Folder up and screenshot that as well.. That way someone can visually look at your file locations. Could be a simple fix.

It's the same problem.
