OatesyHD reacted to navdata in Performance IssuesI personally had a lot of texture loss with 0.4 and i already disabled preloading models and lowered graphics from ultra to high, and texture loss still happens. My PC is well capable of running gta in ultra with 60+ fps and i have no other lspdfr mods installed. I feel like texture loss happens after a car chase or shootout where the units were not deleted and were spread across the map which causes texture loss, and also theres a bug where AI cops have their siren running after police chase even tho the lights are off which seems to be impactful to performance

OatesyHD reacted to zombieguy in Performance IssuesWhile LSPDFR is active my framerate takes a very hefty beating. I normally run stock GTA V at around 90 - 100 fps, however, while on duty/pursuit I average around 30 - 45 fps most of the time. For reference, my specs are a 4770k @ 4.1GHz, 16gb of ram and a GTX 1080. I also have a fresh install with no other mods installed and have tried: running rage plugin hook as admin, running fullscreen and windowed, lowering and increasing graphics settings and disabling as many background processes as possible.

OatesyHD reacted to Sgtnicko in LSPDFR Australia Discussion Thread 2.0Generally wail tones are deigned to reach larger distances due to larger wavelengths. This makes them much more effective at travelling distances . However, the larger the wavelength the harder it is to project the sound in all directions of the truck as it will mainly travel in the direction the siren is facing.
Yelp on the other hand is a much shorter wavelength and travels all around the truck due to the nature of the sound waves being smaller and therefore creating constructive interference which makes the yelp sound much louder from all directions for example; the side of the truck, compared to the wail which works better in a straight-line at long distances.
Because of that generally wail is designed for alerting moving vehicles on the road which are in front of the truck and yelp is designed for approaching and moving through an area when you need to be heard from all directions such as an intersection where the sound waves would travel efficiently in every direction except behind the truck.
However, normally it's easier to just operate both at the same time in some situations.

OatesyHD reacted to Down Under Mods in LSPDFR Australia Discussion Thread 2.0Yeah I am familiar with the use of the sirens. the pumper would've originally had an LTS installed because mos trucks in that era came with it. But since that siren is no longer made any new trucks wont have it, they'll often come with the Carson siren. The siren on that pumper would've been installed recently. As for them turning the wail off, doesn't really mean anything it just depends on who's controlling it

OatesyHD reacted to cadmiumRED in LSPDFR Australia Discussion Thread 2.0Not strictly Australian (EUP model is american) but the conditions are certainly reminiscent of down under.

OatesyHD got a reaction from OblongGaming in LSPDFR Australia Discussion Thread 2.0@Macgregor It has both the siren mixed and the separate wail and yelp. i'm using the separate ones and dual toning them because its much better quality then the already mixed one. so as you can hear in one part of the video, i turn the wail off, something CFA do in real life for some reason (at intersections). This siren unfortunately is being faded out but we still have it on most newish tankers around the state including ours in Geelong. Link to the siren:
Also a link to my video where you can see it in real life, its the 2nd appliance (the tanker) that uses the LTS. The pumpers use a version of the brand Carson siren which is similar but is a little more lower pitched and the tones are slightly different:

OatesyHD reacted to Down Under Mods in LSPDFR Australia Discussion Thread 2.0That siren is dope, are the wail and yelp seperate sirens or are they combined into the one audio file?
