Scott1 got a reaction from Kalleboston in [WIP] 1991 Chevrolet Caprice Chicago Police DepartmentI've been working on this for a little while, and I still have a few things to add before I'm finished. This is my first skin/mod, and I'm trying to make it as detailed as possible. Does this look decent or not?

Scott1 reacted to Hastings in oldest police vehicle currently in service? Was thinking the same thing!
Looks like this one is still in service in one of our distant towns! I hear that officers who tried one of those would choose that old US frame-based sedan over any new Russian car. The fuel must cost a fortune on the other hand.
It's not as bright and shiny today, but still is in decent shape

Scott1 reacted toDeactivated Memberin oldest police vehicle currently in service?Oldest I've seen recently was a 1991-1992 Fire Marshal still in service. I didn't get a chance to snap a picture as he was going by me.
Oldest in police terms, LA Sheriff has loads of 1998, 1999, and 2000 CVPIs lined up at the courthouse. Next time I stop by, I'll snap a pic.

Scott1 got a reaction fromDeactivated Memberin oldest police vehicle currently in service?I was talking to my cousin today (who is a CPD officer) and having recently bought a crown Victoria, he commended me on my choice, and said there aren't many left in the CPD. Which brought me to the question: what is the oldest police/fire vehicle you have seen in service recently?
I found this picture, taken in Oct. 2016. These cars were for police training, but never used. Here is the original article: http://hornet.fullcoll.edu/three-reminders-of-a-failed-fullerton-college-police-academy/
Not sure of the years of these cars, but the one on the right looks the oldest. Maybe 2002-ish? I don't really know the years of CVPI's very well, sorry. In person, the oldest I have seen is a newer CVPI. What's the oldest you have seen?
