Two police officers injured after terrorist activity
Two police officers from the Metropolitan Police of London were injured in a possible terrorist attack. A man crashed a car into a bollard outside Buckingham Palace at around 22:30 last night. The officers saw a large machete/possibly sword in the car and moved into arrest the suspect. The two officers were injured and were taken to hospital but later discharged. The suspect was also knocked out/injured and was later released from hospital, now in custody. Was originally arrested for GBH and offensive weapon, now under the Terrorism Act 2000. UPDATE: The suspect crashed a Toyota Prius towards officers. When the officers confronted him, he pulled out a 4 foot sword and shouted "Allah Akbar" before being pepper sprayed. Thank God the two officers were not killed.

What happened to checkpoints in London?
Yeah I know it wouldn't be easy, but we should build special facilities. It is very hard to monitor them all, but as well as high priority ones, they need to be paying attention to those seen posting things online, like the Barcelona attacker - "kill all infidels" etc and those with petty or no criminal records as they can often be the most dangerous

What happened to checkpoints in London?
They are extremists. Not innocent. They have either returned from syria, planning to go, sympathising with isis, sharing isis beliefs, or planning an attack.

What happened to checkpoints in London?
They said that about the ringleader of the London Bridge Attackers. You can't afford to take chances when human life is at risk. Well, that's why they need to be kept in solitary confinement so that opportunity inst' available to them . I think our one is, our one doesn't give justice to anyone, at least your one does. Hell, a prison just gave every cell a mobile phone and a computer.

What happened to checkpoints in London?
What I mean is that its not like some really sophisticated attack, he had no contacts reportedly, no links to ISIS, and planned it all himself. We will never know how exactly he had planned it and how long he had planned it for, but he was a "lone wolf attacker". The terrorists at London bridge however, were known to security services and should have been apprehended. Why they don't just lock up the 23,000 jihadis living in the UK is beyond me.

What happened to checkpoints in London?
you can't monitor everyone, khalid massod had no links to terrorism apart from a text at the last minuet on encrypted whatsapp. i agree about the traffic and yes the trains I guess they would find a way around it

What happened to checkpoints in London?
Well, many officers in London basically do the same thing. They stand outside Downing Street or embassies, all day, every day, with an MP5. They could recruit more of these officers to do the checkpoint. I hear they are making more checks on people hiring vans, but to me that sounds like it might solve some problems, but not all. For example, Khalid Masood, the 52 year old terrorist who attacked Westminster, had no history of radicalisation. And the truck used in the Berlin attack was hijacked. The same thing could happen here. Or, they could buy or use their own cars. It really isn't a very well thought solution if you ask me.

Sad day for law enforcement...
Disgraceful. I know we may be back to the gun control thing again, but even myself, a gun enthusiast, thinks that its out of control. Were they random attacks/targeted? . I don't believe in banning guns, far from it, but I think you should look at the firearm used most in these shootings and make them harder to get, ie, handguns. I really can't think why they would just be shot randomly, unless terrorism or mental health issues. And I really don't think its gonna be some ISIS attack in Pennsylvania. Which leads us to better mental health care, and locking away these assholes.

What happened to checkpoints in London?
Around this time last year, after the Russel Square stabbing, the Met launched Op Hercules which saw CT police deployed and checkpoints with armed officers. Are they still in place? Although it does give the impression the city is under siege, I think it could have really stopped many attacks ie, Westminster, if they had checkpoints on all main motorways and roads into London. Yes, they would cause congestion in some areas, but given the events in Barcelona, they could have been stopped.

Police Body Camera Videos!
I think they work in the officer's favour, as it provides an angle from the officer's perspective rather than someone filming the incident. Here in the UK, our armed officers in London, have been issued bodycams on helmets and on baseball caps. Previously they were mounted on their vests but as you can imagine the angles were not very good when you are holding a rifle. But then, the general public will still accuse the police of wrongdoing even if they weren't at fault.

UK armed police berets
It's unusual in the U.K. unlike countries like France

UK armed police berets
So when did the armed police ie SCO19 stop wearing berets? I recently saw this video that was published back in 2011 on 9/11 of terrorism in the UK, and I saw the picture of these met officers. I thought they stopped wearing them in the late nineties/early 2000s. Does anyone actually know if they are still worn and when they were phased out?

Accidentally deleted weapons.ivaud - game won't start
well it doesn't because exactly the same thing happens

UK Prison Service accused of suppressing allegations of corruption
Surprised about the guns being smuggled in. Everything else is not a surprise for me. There is such low morale among prison officers that I really doubt they are very good at doing their job.

"Three Musketeers" Terror gang charged
exactly. that's why its such a problem. it needs to be done early and usually the damage is already done by the time the authorities find out about their activities.

"Three Musketeers" Terror gang charged
I'll be honest, I don't like terrorists having rights, but I guess it would make us as bad as them. I just find it ridiculous that they have things like radical Islamic preachers in jails and that they are not isolated. I believe one of them was radicalised by some guy in prison. There needs to be seperate prisons for terrorists, or they should be kept in solitary, you can't send every ISIS or Al Quaeda fuck to Belmarsh!
-
"Three Musketeers" Terror gang charged
Well they were sentenced to life for planning the attack but surely visiting a terrorist training camp is a good indication you're planning an attack? They should only be released once it is proven they have been de-radicalised. The justice system in the UK is a joke. More info http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-40810970

"Three Musketeers" Terror gang charged
A terrorist group known as the three musketeers consisting of 3 members and an associate have been charged with terrorism after they were arrested last year for a plan to attack police and the military. They were found with a large knife, a pipe bomb, and an airsoft gun. MI5 operatives set up a fake courier company which they did deliveries for to find out more information. What strikes me is that three of them had been released in 2012 after being jailed for going to terrorist camps in Pakistan. WHY THE HELL WERE THEY RELEASED!?

Australia plane terror plot
Well, not deliberately crashed into a building but if it was brought down onto a major city it could create devastation. Australia's terror attacks have seemed to be very basic in the past and have only ever resulted in the death of one or two people - some recent hostage taking and the siege before. There will always be loopholes, and terrorists will simply find ways to work around them. They might start using trains to kill people instead of planes and cars, etc. I know there was talk of eletrification of the UK rail system but it was put on hold. One reason against it would be that terrorists could hack it and crash them. Large scale terrorist attacks have happened recently like Paris (I call it large scale) but I honestly doubt we'll see another attack with as many fatalaties as 9/11 - fingers crossed, I seemed to think the UK were pretty good at stopping terrorists until the Manchester bombing.

Make cops stay after requesting backup and TPAC mod
Could someone make a mod that makes the cops stay on scene for up to 10 real minuets after an incident to make it realistic? They could be doing tasks such as walking around , directing traffic, and writing down notes. And for UK, could someone make a TPAC and Hard Stop mod? qwertyK
