  1. Might want to check the news mate. I saw this on the BBC and thought you should see it: Two dead in Paris knife attack - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-44096595 for the photo, I was told by the source that that individual who did it. I did not know who Sam Hyde was apologies
  2. A mass stabbing in Paris has left at least 2 dead and eight injured. The attacker, who was shot, has been identified as Sam Hyde. Sam Hyde is believed to be a radicalised French National who recently converted to Islam.
  3. France still has far more relaxed gun laws in the UK. It's close to impossible to own an AR-15 equivelant here unless you're willing to put up with piles of paperwork. Yes guns are made to kill people. But America has a totally different culture, and that's why you can't really compare it to other countries. I respect the 2nd amendment but honestly its out of date. There were no assault rifles when it was written or semi auto handguns. It also raises the question of how someone expelled from school managed to get back in. Before we ban AR-15s or whatever, let's actually make our schools safer by introducing metal detectors and other measures. How he managed to sneak an AR-15 into school is quite surprising TBH.
  4. No one was calling for gun control after Paris. No one said ban guns. Everyone blamed terrorism. Because why not? Because terrorism was what motivated them. Just like how MENTAL HEALTH problems cause mass shootings. If you rounded up all the mass shootings or shooting incidents in the entirety of Europe it would be a fairer comparison. Even in the UK we nearly had a school shooting this year. Only because the boy called 999 at the last minuet as he was loading his shotgun, another two arrested for planning to bomb and stab people at their school. We need to have watchlists for these people just like we do for terrorists. Just make sure not every person with mental health issues is stigmatised.
  5. France has had its fair share of mass shootings. The worst mass shooting in modern history happened in France. - 2015 attacks. 128 people died because of shootings. 89 were killed in a mass shooting at the Bataclan. Last december a policeman killed three people and then himself. There was a school shooting/grenade attack at a school in France in March, fortunately no one was killed. The point is, is that the USA is a massive country and every state is so different what works in NY might not work in another state. We need mental health care!
  6. Everyone here seems to point the finger on the guns. Yes they do need to be harder to access. But actually, what is the one thing common in all these shootings (except terrorrist related ones like San Bernandino and Orlando)? Mental health. The US needs to mainstream its mental health. I would suggest that before any restrictions on guns are put into place, the US should have a federal based gun ownership system run by the ATF or DHS. Florida has some of the least tight gun laws where these mass shootings happen most. I like guns, but when you've got shitty politics involved, it really makes me wonder: could we actually be safer by banning say an AR-15? The NRA is one of the biggest problems. Here in the UK we actually have an NRA (which is actually older) but a) no one has ever heard of it and b) it doesn't even have any political inflence. I'm sick of these shootings and until something is done they will happen. I'm just glad the suspect was caught alive
  7. It's been broken for so long, with no support from the authors. Press F7 and enter Map and I am just left with a rotating radar and cannot spawn any items or go back to my charecter. Anyone know any workarounds or alternatives? qwerty
  8. Seen Double Doppler use an indicator sound mod with police cars. What is this? Thanks, qwerty
  9. Did update the trainer, fixed the issue. Although do you think the GTAlauncher issue was related to the MapMod? I first started getting memory issues when I used the map I linked. Very weird, I'll wait and see til they release an update for MapEditor.
  10. I made this map mod yesterday https://www.gta5-mods.com/maps/mexico-police-policia-federale-and-mexico-us-border and ever since then i have had trouble. the map included crashed my game, made another one, fine, then when to load GTA this morning my GTALauncher stops working. Fixed that. Now every time I try and load a large map mod, I get "the type initalizer for gta.native.memoryaccess threw an acception. Not to mention sometimes when i start the game up i get an error "scripthookv failed to load trainer.asi" Just what is going on? qwerty

Looking to recreate a small riot in GTA IV, any scripts that work in 1.0.7.0 that allow something? I heard of a call called "large scale disturbance" which was a small riot. qwerty
  13. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-41907943 shooter escaped from a mental health hospital in El Paso in 2012
  14. Then we also have a problem with lacklustre police training (hardly surprising considering the size of the US). I know people react differently but double taps are used all the time and recommended by SF here in the UK. I'm not saying limit guns to 15 bullets, but limit pistols to 10 or 12. and rifles to 15. No one is going to use 30 rounds on a single person.
  15. And each year hundreds of people are killed by firearms due to mass shooting incidents. The biggest threat to America is not ISIS, but it's own people. If you ignore the problem, it will only get better. How many more dead until something happens? If the same amount of people who died in 9/11 were killed in a mass shooting I guarantee we'd get a response like "let's not politicise the situation" or "he was mentally ill, mental illness is the problem" Talk about not politicising the situation. Trump, after Vegas: "let's not politicise a tragedy". Comes several hours after it happens Trump after NY attack "I am ordering DHS to step up our already extreme vetting program!" NOT IN USA! Why can't they have gun laws for the entire country rather than state by state?
  16. There was a recent incident at a church in Nashville where the church usher got a gun and held the suspect down but in all fairness, if the guns weren't so readily avaliable it wouldn't be an issue. People need to get with it. Gun control does not mean banning all guns. I don't want that to happen and neither do most people. Gun control means restricting magazine capacities, closing legal loopholes, doing more background checks.... I mean, seriously. What's the big deal in waiting an extra day or two to get a license? The NRA tell people that if we implement gun control then they will not have any guns. In reality, they may have to wait a bit longer and not be able to shoot more than 15 bullets. Please tell me a rational situation where you would need more than 15 bullets. Two bullets is enough to stop most people. It's ridiculous. We are trying to save lives. And if we can't give people the treatment they need then we need to restrict their access to lethal weapons.
  17. Because the government isn't about to overthrow you that's why. The army have attack helicopters, tanks, miniguns.....does that mean we have to have them to? For what? I support the 2nd amendment but not when it is not brought up to date. The 2nd amendment was written at a time when the government was not like the ones we have today. America is a stable country in terms of finance and security. The 2nd amendment was written at a time when there were no such things as assault rifles. Times have changed. Or are you now saying that we should have slaves too because that's what the USA was built on?
  18. Being able to own a gun doesn't necessarily mean you are free. If you are being controlled by the state, you are not free. If the state control everything you do rather than just the type of guns you can own, you are obviously not free. Mental illness. It is a broad term. I have depression and anxiety for example, like a lot of people, but does that mean I am going to go out and shoot 58 people? Course not. But if you are diagnosed with an illness, such as paranoid schizophrenia, or have any form of serious mental illness, which would warrant your ability to make descions, and that could mean you may be eligible to be in a mental health institution, your access to firearms should be restricted. Or, at least, limit the firearms people meeting this criteria can access, such as no assault rifles, no submachine guns, no pistols which can hold over 12 rounds. No one needs an AR-15 apart from police, and the military. I own a air rifle amongst other air weapons. That is perfectly sufficient to hunt. It can also be utilised for self defense, should I need it .Real firearms? The same concept, pump action shotguns are a "tool". AR-15s and AK-47s are not. They are weapons of war. There is no need to hunt a deer with an AK-47. Or protect your house. I recognise the need for firearms in very small rural communities that have no PD etc, but they still don't need semi auto rifles. 99% of the "bad people" in the USA that end up injuring masses of innocent civillians unfortunately are these people who have mental health issues.
  19. Here's the point: Mental illness is a big factor in most of these shootings. Even Trump admitted it. So WHY THE HELL do you decide to remove a law which bans the mentally ill buying guns? Either the gun was illegally bought or he just slipped through the net because he shouldn't have even been allowed to buy it (he was denied it under Texas law) Times have changed since 1776. The government is not going to turn against the people any time soon. More to the point we're no longer looking at bolt action single shot rifles but semi automatic assault style carbines that can carry 30 rounds. You don't see mass shootings happening this frequent in say France for example. In the UK, the gun laws are very tight, and I support gun ownership, I love shooting, but is there really a need for a AR-15? Hunting can be done with a shotgun. Let's face it .The only "real" reason why people get AR-15s is because they like them. Self defense? Buy a 9mm handgun. America needs to sort out its health system and gun laws. It is ridiculous this is being allowed to happen in what is supposedly the most developed country in the world. Ironically in the UK and in the US actually, before these bans came into place, there was less gun crime...but then mental health was less recognised and stuff. There is more gun crime in the UK now then there was in 1996 when they banned handguns and yet 90% of the shootings that take place in the UK are committed by someone with a handgun. There is simply no need for this weaponry. At least make the magazine capacities lower. It shouldn't be legal for the NRA to keep sponsoring lobbyists, which is the real reason gun control isn't happening. Let's face it. Trump couldn't care less about the 2nd amendment if the nation wasn't feeling so strong about it. It's the money.
  20. The laws need changing. TBH, I think even Trump want's a degree of gun control. If it wasn't for the stupid NRA. Times have changed since 1776. I hope that there will be a response to this that actually changes something, but I doubt anything will happen. I'll be interested to see who the shooter is, but we probably all know the background of him....
  21. Apparently he went in in "full combat gear" and was killed after a pursuit with police. Seems ironic that in a state like Texas this could happen.
  22. Trump's response to this will proabably be "it was a very sick individual" and when it comes to gun control "when the time is right." FFS! When it is a "terrorist" he can't get on Twitter quick enough!
  23. "Multiple fatalaties" in church shooting in Texas FBI and ATF on scene; suspect has been killed by law enforcement Not trying to "politicise" a tragedy but doubt Trump will do anything about it Witnesses reported suspect reloaded several times and fired as many as 20 rounds Some sources saying up to 24 dead 27 dead estimated
  24. Deleted mods folder and works! ENB also works :-)
