Realism Dispatch Enhanced
I know this is old, but the only parts of RDE that impact performance directly are the scripts it comes with, particularly arrest warrant, which made my mid-range gaming PC start lagging in police chases, can be removed without breaking things. The scripts do things like spawn certain cars in places and other non-essential features. There is an indirect performance impact from rendering a lot of vehicles of course, but providing you have a decent GPU it should have the video memory to handle this without running into issues. When I used to play on a laptop I always had problems using RDE vehicles because of a lack of VRAM in my system (integrated AMD graphics). So yeah tl;dr the scripts it installs are the main thing that affect performance. Delete them and you should be good.

ALPR+
This is causing lag, especially when I go off duty then on duty as another officer. FPS drops are caused by this mod.

2016 California Highway Patrol MegaPack
Guys my 2015 Charger's red strip tail light isn't coming on unless I'm braking. How do I make it stay on all the time like other charger models do? thanks

Best graphics card for a budget GTA build
Okay, my final question was whether the brand of GTX 970 makes a difference. I know they all have slightly different clock speeds from 1.08GHz to 1.18GHz the one I was looking at was the EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/JTwqqs/evga-video-card-04gp42974kr which is 1.17GHz

Best graphics card for a budget GTA build
Looks like the GTX 1060 will take me £50 over budget. There's not a huge difference between the 970 and the 1060 anyway is there? The R9 380 is also an option

Best graphics card for a budget GTA build
Alright, sounds good. I probably won't get a 6600k because from what I've heard the only advantage over the 6500/6600 is overclocking which I'm not interested in

Best graphics card for a budget GTA build
So I've been on here before to ask for advice on a budget £600 build for GTA and LSPDFR, and it's come down to a decision between the GTX 960, GTX 970, the newer GTX 1060, or the Radeon R9 380. This will most likely be combined with an i5 6500 (or hopefully a 6600k if there is enough budget left) and an SSD. Which of these cards would the community recommend? The 1060 is a much newer card so it has that appeal, as there's no way I can afford a 1080 or even a 980 Thanks!

Budget $500-$600 LSPDFR Build
@Iggy Fresh Also would try and get an SSD instead of a HDD. Think I should have no problems playing with the mods I do on high settings 720p or 1080p with that combo

Budget $500-$600 LSPDFR Build
@Iggy Fresh Looks like a good build, I was thinking of the i5 6500 and the GTX 960 4GB (which seems to be a solid graphics card), might cost a tiny bit more though

Budget $500-$600 LSPDFR Build
@Iggy Fresh I'm just after the computer parts to build a PC myself for that price. @Mike Bik 15-25fps sounds horrible I couldn't live with that!

Budget $500-$600 LSPDFR Build
That's cool but I like to go off actual performance tests and based on them you can achieve 40-60fps consistently for $400 let alone $600.

Budget $500-$600 LSPDFR Build
Yeah I only play LSPDFR with ALPR, traffic policer, search warrant police radio and passive speed radar. I don't install ridiculously high poly cars I use in game cars and modify their liveries. Only mods I use are simple trainer skin changer Emergency Uniforms Pack and LSPDFR. From the looks of things I can get an i5 6500 and a Radeon R9 380 for $600ish. That sounds pretty decent to me

Budget $500-$600 LSPDFR Build
Yeah I understand that. I just honestly don't get how I can see people playing GTA 5 on $300-$600 PCs on Youtube at very good fps and yet people here are saying its not possible to get decent performance without paying more? I know dual core performance would decrease over time as Rockstar requires quad core CPU in their system requirements. But assuming I had a quad core CPU (which I can easily afford at this budget) I don't see where the big problem would be. Out of interest what are your specs TheUniT?

Budget $500-$600 LSPDFR Build
My plan is to buy based on 2016 budget GTA builds. I'm on a laptop at the moment so my mentality is that anything will be better than this (I don't even have a quad core CPU). I'm also not bothered if I have to run at 720p (I have to run it at 1024x768 currently lol). And anything over 30fps is acceptable to me, as long as it doesn't drop below 30 at all (or at least not very often) I'll be happy. With that in mind would you say its possible to satisfy that with $600? I will be making a backup of GTA using RPH so I don't have to suffer any more performance decreases with future patches.

Budget $500-$600 LSPDFR Build
Sorry but there are countless Youtube videos of GTA running well at 1080p on budget PCs. LSPDFR doesn't add that much overhead it just increases VRAM and CPU and RAM usage slightly. Where's your evidence that you need to spend $1500 to play LSPDFR?

Budget $500-$600 LSPDFR Build
Hey I've been looking at some budget PC builds for GTA 5 (there are a lot which look promising). Can anyone recommend a build within this price range? I'd like to be able to play in HD on high settings if possible at a decent (above 30fps) framerate. Thanks!

Adding antenna/equipment/anpr cameras
Basically I just want to make some of the stock police cars more realistic by adding lots of aerials/equipment/alpr cameras onto the outside of them. How would I go about doing this? i know GTA has aerial models built in but I imagine some extra stuff might have to be downloaded?

Heavy FPS drop caused by Plugins?
I have a similar issue in that the frame rate i get is 30fps and normally feels very stable (almost like the ps4) but once on duty if other cars start showing up to a chase or the weather changes it dips into the 20s. Whilst on duty it's just less stable
