you ad your gta folder to your exceptions list...google how to add file exceptions for a folder for _________ (the blank spot is where you put in what type of antivirus you have)

so my GTA has been crashing, I've changed mods folder to _mods, game launches.....so i know its in there somewhere. I had tried to add a coroner skin pack, which then caused the game to fail. I went in and deleted the files, but forgot to replace them with the original doc skins...so i went in and redid that...still crashing. that was the last thing i did before the crashing. If i can't get it figured out i'm just going to delete my mods folder and start over, but i'm wondering if anyone has a better idea on how to pinpoint whats causing the crash? I'll load my log file if that helps any??

go into your antivirus and add the game to your exceptions list

when you start rage, click the settings icon when it starts to populate. Then go to the last line which will be game settings, click that and then click command line switches....make sure you have force windowed mode checked. then you can open fullscreen in game

well it turns out i copied over the wrong file...i think i never saved my changes lol...so now t get rumbler. However i believe that hi-lo tone isnt a rumbler siren in real life either so, not that much of a surprise there

think you could help me figure out my siren issue? I installed the federal siren smart siren with rumbler, i followed the steps where you extract the oac file to your desktop, replace the files, import it into the game...the tones definitely changed, but its not the rumbler sound...

are you loading them into your most recent patchday? if you load them into the newest patchday, they will automatically takeover whatever is in previous folders. I.e if you have police2 in patchday2...and put a police2 in patchday17(which is my most recent one), then it will override the previous one, and always load the newest...hope this helps

make sure your post fx is set to ultra, that seemed to help my lights. otherwise make sure you go into visualsettings.dat and search for car.default, then look for car.defaultlight.day.emissive.on, change that setting to 6000.00 for day, and 1500.00 for night. Hope that helps you like it did me

are you putting this in by replacing spots, or creating stand alone add ons?

so if i want stage 3 to be scan all i need to do is type scan?! LOL....well shit that seems simple enough...thank you!

Anyone know how to edit the settings for ELS so the default pattern is scan? Or how to get it so you can't change the pattern by pressing u i or o? edit, figure out how to change the keybinding for changing patterns, but still want to know how to set it to automatically be on scan if anyone can help

THAT WORKED BEAUTIFULLY! next issue...i've tried inputing a new player model. I followed albos tutorial for that, and its telling me its an invalid model. its using the s_m_y_hwaycop_03 spot...but when i type it in it says invalid model. I've copied all files into the correct folders according to the tutorial..along with the player meta...but nothing is working...any ideas on that?!

so i'm trying to find a model of the minnesota state patrol squad, and i thought i had found the yft files but apparently its a png file....how would i use that to add it to a car i have? sorry for the stupid question but i couldnt seem to find the info

well....i tried installing a standalone...now the game wont even load...instant crashes...i tried following jeff's video ....but i don't think i understand the very last part about the interiors? i tried that with one car and it made the whole screen black when i looked at interior view/first person view inside the squad. if i dont do that. will it crash...and how do i pick which interior to go with, as with in jeffs video, hes doing the dominator so it makes sense..but i'm going with mclovins xmas suburban pack
