I have noticed this as well at times. usually mostly when its a Van turning up. the patrol cars seem to park closer. i usually spawn them closer but thats not very immersive. Might just be all dependant on the location we are at and type or road or junction. I get this at times when calling for backup too. they arrive but a long way off.

Te mods i am currently using and that work just fine so far with zero glitches or crashes with 0.4 are as follows: LSPDFR+ Computer+ ( plus i added +lawpacks) EUP ( watch either Benzo Effect's youtube tutorial or Firstthirtyminutes for correct instaltion of EUP with 0.4) Stop The Ped Ultimate Backup ELS RadianceV ( makes the ELS lights much nicer and brighter) Callout packs hat work totally fine for me are as follows: PeterUCallouts ( now updated to 0.4) Assorted Callouts Common Callouts vehicle pack i use is - LSPD Vehicle Pack with Wheelan Libery ( ELS) 1.1 I also use a mod from the GTAV site called 'GTA comes alive!' This adds ambient small events you can deal with. Its by Darkmyre who has made mods for LSPDFR and this was made with LSPDFR in mind. I also installed a mod called - Open All Interiors. Just makes some locations a bit more immersive. The mods i want to try but seeking feedback for stability on are: Police/Cop Holster ( this has better hand-gun animations) Spotlight NSF gauges BVA ( this is a mod that effects the doors on the car and also provides a seatbelt sound as well as engine state and indicators) Clear The Way ( makes Traffic more compliment and moves aside better, not sure if this is needed now with 0.4) So far ( touch wood) i havent had any strain or crashes regarding these. Only times it did play me up was conflicts of keys for various callouts or mods. That just needed me to reconfigure the keybindings so they didnt conflict and create multiple pop up menus at once. The mods i really hope get updated for 0.4 are : Interaction+ Traffic Policer CrazyCallouts Cheepcallouts BasicCallouts ArrestWarrantCallouts AgencyCallouts CalloutsV ( an actual 0.4 version as i know it kind of works right now) Search Warrant or a good search mod ( we can search vehicle with STP using key 'G'close to a car. But imiss it interacting with the court evidence and being able to store stuff as evidence for cases.

oh thats a shame. yeah i love that mod. gave me more than just calls to do my police work with. I love ambient pro-active policing. dont get me wrong getting calls is nice but its rewarding to think you detect stuff yourself.

which mod or callout mod added random traffic ambient events? there was one that created blips you could deal with like weaving about on the road, faulty vehicles etc? It made traffic patrolling fun. They were not actual Calls persay, just small road events you could notice and stop people for.

I want to use a controller as i have a xbox 360 controller and i have ps4 controlers but for the life of me i cant get GTAV to detect that i have one plugged in. my windows 10 knows its there as when i go into PC settings on my PC ( control panel) It says the xbox controller is already installed. Anyone know how i need to get around this so that GTA sees its there and lets me use it? I want to use both controller for driving and keys for foot.

Thanks Sam 🙂 So far i have found the Ferris wheel and pier rollercoaster works. The beach Gym doesnt which is a shame but then i dont think it works even in main story. Likely would need to be a external mod. The cinema's are not showing any interactive points but i think i need to play more of the main story GTA first to unlock those. I will try the tennis courts and golf next time i am there. I wish the main game map created ALL spots of interactive interests. I will keep looking and hoping hehe. Is there any teasers or possible future plans for more interaction in the off duty elements in LSPDFR that your considering or able to add, or would that be top secret? hehe If anyone else reading this topic knows of any fun or do-able stuff in the off duty world please post them here.

which callout packs actually work at the moment? i am finding it all confusing. I have i think 3 so far that seems to be ok and not crashed my game. United Callouts, Assorted Callouts and Common Callouts. I really miss CalloutsV and PeterUCallouts. I ache for some general investigative stuff. So many calls are very aggressive and pursuits. I want some simpler everyday calls. More domestic calls, more less violent ones like people in need of help, simple breakins that dont always have to be a gunfight and chase. Or even some where if a suspect is located they are more complient. So many suspects instantly run or shoot back. maybe some would be cool where they actually verbally try to argue their way out or just come quietly lmao. Traffic stop calls where the driver isnt always a crazy nut case speeding off and crashing into everything. Maybe some very drunk ones that add a bit of humour to the game with weird responses and drunken actions. Like we often say to our amusement in COPS.

Hello! Ok i have some questions and i am hoping you all might know the answers. I have seen online that GTA has various hobbies and pastimes etc in the game. For example here is a list i know of: Tennis Golf Cinema's Ferris wheel Beach gym Skydiving mountain biking Now i am sure there are others and i would love for anyone to post and tell me. The list i have written so far. can i do any of these while off duty? Also i kind of read that the cinema and movies shown is only usable when a certain Main story point is reached that unlocks the cinema's, i think its the story chapter called ' Complications'. This point seems to unlock tennis and movies etc in the main game. Would i need to play the main game, get t that point that unl;ocks it and then be able to do those things in LSPDFR while off duty? I am really wanting to enrich my off duty time just for fun and want to try everything i can thats interactable. Can i mountain bike, if so where do i find one? Can i hire/use a boat? is there any Nightclubs other than the Stripclub i can visit and dance at? Also anyone know of any good mods that add fun stuff to do thats not gonna break my game?

Yeah, your very right. Its not hard to do but sometimes i just in the excited rush bail from my car and run after the suspect like a crazed whippet! Then later when i am walking the suspect back to my car i can hear its siren still blaring from a long way off. I guess i just hoped there might be an ini in the game or even ELS settings that makes the siren turn off when you exit the car. But yeah i need to just click my siren key BEFORE i get out and run.

I went first to my GTAV folder. then this path... Grand Theft Auto V > lspdfr > lspdfr ( config settings file). Open that with Notepad and then find the Backup key . Change that to the Key you want it to now be and make sure you SAVE the notepad change before closing notpad.

Hi. I have been finding that if i am in a pursuit and have lights and siren going, when i need to stop and get out and pursue on foot etc, the siren is still going and its really annoying. I dont mind the lights still flashing as that actually helps stop traffic some, but the NPC/AI Police cars seem to auto stop the siren when the AI cops get out of their cars. How do i set mine up so that my car does that? Ideally i want the siren to stop the moment i open my car door to get out or even a key i can use while out of the car to turn it off, bit like as if i have a siren fob in my pocket. lmao Any ideas at all? Is it in the ELS ini or main game ini?

Just installed the latest Stop The Ped and Ultimate Backup and both work fine. I had to reassign the default LSPDFR backup key randomly to '-' key and keep the Ultimate Backup key as B as even with the ini file set for Ultimate Backup to overwrite the lspdfr one, i still got 2 menus popping up. So i figured' leave Ultimate as B, set LSPDFR to a random unused key. Its so nice once again to be able to ask questions to peds and do breathlizer and drug tests again too. Havent yet tried calling a coroner or pickup truck but will next testing. Now just need to find some stable and good callout mods thats been tested in 0.4.

Well i took the plunge and installed ELS ( by watching the latest helpful tutorial by FirstThirtyMinutes on Youtube) along with OpenIV and i have added the LSPD Wheelan vehicle pack. In game everything looks great! the new vehicles look awesome and the ELS works. Its set as J but i might change the key to Q via the ini file as J is a bit far for my little fingers in a pursuit. hehe. The ELS lights work well with the different light modes. They are not very bright but i likely now need to add Radiant mod to make them brighter. But the car pack and lights work well and i having no FPS issue or texture issues. i only have a GTX750 Nividia card and an old AMD processor so not a high spec machine, yet getting smooth game play and good graphics. I am tempted now to add some Callout packs as the default calls by LSPDFR are getting abit boring but i am nervous of breaking my game. Not sure which ones work and do i need to add the latest Albo common file for those?

Yeah i get the same thing. Its as if the game thinks its still in main story mode and not LSPDFR. The Police vehicles become regular car radio wise when you try to get into them. Only way it doesnt do that for me is if i go and collect a Police car 'directly' from the Police garage. Any Police vehicle out in the game world always defaults to music radio. Usually i use my mouse wheel to switch music radio stations in my off duty pink mini car. I kind of got the music to turn off in the Police car this way but the mouse wheel didnt properly show me radio stations. it just seemed to turn it off.

Yes i do. still always crashes when i try to go home after work. I guess poor Shai will be a homeless cop until the next patch fix hehe. But thats ok as at least they Team know about the issue and will fix it.

true true and i am 100% behind 0.4. i wouldnt go back to 0.3 for anything. I am with 0.4 to stay hehe. just excited but aching for all that amazing detail and little things that makes patrolling just incredibly fun, immersive and addictive and full!

thats so cool. the 0.4 is lacking i feel in the details like no coroner or vehicle recovery and all the important little immersive stuff that Stop The Ped does as well as Ultimate backup. They are almost vital for callout back and this new immersive ambient events and scenarios

hahaha thanks. its just that so far most people are listing mods that dont work, the issues and problems with them. I am guessing at this early stage very few mods reliably work. I just need to wait and be patient 🙂

Will there be a topic/thread that simply lists the mods / calloutpacks etc that definately work fine from testing? At the moment i havent added any mods at all as i am nervous of breaking it but i miss them a lot. I just kind of hoping for well tested ones that are reliable. I have make a back up of my GTA game folder but its still a pin to have to start again when it all goes wrong lol.

I can try to add a few ideas for scenarios for stop checks etc if that will help and i apologise now if its either already been done or if its just silly and something that would never be added. But ideas sometimes create good things 😉 I think for variety i would like to see the car occupants maybe react in various ways on a stop. maybe depending on the actions that caused the stop. For example if a car is swerving about or erratic then it could be due to a few things. Maybe the driver or a passenger in the car is pregnant! They are desperately trying to get to a hospital but clearly struggling to drive correctly. This could then in turn make use of EMS or maybe escort the car to the Hospital, stopping traffic ahead or even call in a Police helicopter to get the person there quicker. Maybe the driver has medical issues and on stopping the vehicle the driver or a passenger is having a fit or seizure or heart-attack. Again EMS, Coroner ( in that sad moment the driver passes away) or backup can help. Maybe there are children in the back fighting and the parent got distracted or even kids driving a car they stole. If the car is speeding the driver would be intoxicated on drink or drugs or maybe sober but the vehicle as a few occupants and it was some kind of dare. Maybe a stopcheck could result in it being that the occupants are in fact on their way to a crime and act evasive to questions or nervous. maybe drawn weapons but hidden. Maybe a stopcheck turns out to be a kidnapping. the officer might hear screaming in the trunk of the car where someone is tied up and gagged, especially if its a van where the person is held in the back. reminds me of Silence of the Lambs movie where he kidnaps girls in his van. lmao Maybe a bachelors party or hen party pre-wedding where the vehicle is just full of noisy excited people and throwing things from a car. Maybe some vehicle have a dog in the back thats aggressive or even poorly looked after. This could initiate the use of vets or what we have in the Uk, RSPCA officers. ( Royal Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.) I can think up more if it helps 🙂

Cool. It also totally crashed the game as well. i get an infinite black loading screen right after the crash message. Only way out is to force close the game i find via Task manager and then reboot Ragehook back up which then spawns me back inside the apartment. My poor Officer Shai Cotton has a hangover from all her crashes hehe. BUT i did get to save a diff car. now i have a babypink softtop mini! very her indeed!
