I think it'd be interesting to humanize the peds a bit. Pull some guy over because his tags come back stolen, find out his wife called it in in a spat because she found out he was sleeping with the neighbor's wife, callouts to humanize the peds too. Have to talk down a guy with a gun and a hostage, just lost his job and his wife and now he's losing his house, you have to negotiate to get him to put the gun down. It has the potential to go all different kinds of ways, from he surrenders peacefully, you have to put him down, or maybe if he's really bad off... he turns the gun on himself. Add a little emotion to your police work because you connect.
