OfficerMasson reacted to OfficerJessica in [WIP][REL] Police SmartRadio - The Successor to Police RadioWith the addition of customizable buttons and additional API support, does this mean plugin developers can add their own button functions to the radio? it would mean being able to access plugin features from a central menu and avoid having a keyboard full of accidentally-pressed hotkeys.

OfficerMasson reacted to Reddington in LSPDFR: Pull Over not workingThis does appear to be a bug with this car. As you said, the AI isn't registering it's a law enforcement vehicle and their pathing seems to break.
If you'd like another good Taurus, this one works flawlessly for me.

OfficerMasson reacted to drsn0w in [WIP] Routine Police WorkAlright guys, update. I've all but finished the Loitering callout (I just need to make it spawn in more than one location :D) I'll upload a video showing it soon. Thanks for your continued support!

OfficerMasson reacted to JAM in [WIP] Routine Police WorkHere's a few ideas for mostly routine stuff that I always hear our officers getting:
1. Code 20/Check Welfare.
Grandma hasn't answered the phone for a while (Possible DOA), people are loitering and neighbors are worried, etc.
2. Burglary Alarm.
Alarm system has gone off. Check the area for any obvious signs of entry or persons of interest (Although mostly everything is fine).
3. Disabled vehicle.
Vehicle broken down, either on the side of the road or in the road way.
4. Security Check.
Sorta like Check welfare/Burglary Alarm. Area or place has been broken into quite a bit. Dispatch requesting that a security check is performed. Check the area for persons of interest or any signs of burglary.
5. Medical CODE.
Most cops don't run medical calls, however dispatch will often send police units to a CODE (Cardiac Arrest). Get to the scene and perform CPR before medics arrive.
There's a few more I'll think of or keep an eye out, can't wait to see this mod! Sorry to hear about the Hard Drive.

OfficerMasson reacted to drsn0w in [WIP] Routine Police WorkI probably should have posted this earlier, but unfortunately the hard drive on which I was storing the project died and I wasn't able to recover any data, so I've had to start over on the project :(
Thank you for your interest and sorry for the delay
Anyone interested in doing some alpha testing for me should give me a PM. I should have a super basic alpha version soon-ish, depending on my school work load

OfficerMasson reacted to drsn0w in [WIP] Routine Police WorkAwesome ideas! Thank you!
And you gave me another idea: I should listen to LASD dispatch channels in my area to get some other ideas!

OfficerMasson got a reaction from Awesomeo16 in [WIP] Routine Police WorkReports of vandalism to a vehicle is a fairly common call. Shoplifting, loitering, domestic, noise complaint, bar fights, missing person, debris in roadway (storms), cattle out, these are just calls i hear on my local scanner all the time! Thanks for working on this, it should be an amazing addition!

OfficerMasson reacted to drsn0w in [WIP] Routine Police Work[WIP] Routine Police Work for LSPDFR
After playing hours upon hours of LSPDFR, I realized that, while fun, the callouts that end in a chase and/or shootout get a little boring after you do them 20 or 30 times. I also realized that most of the time, real policing isn't 75% chases... I want more, I like hardcore realism....
Enter Routine Police Work for LSPDFR! This plugin will have callouts that capture the more boring (and often realistic) aspect of police work. Currently I only have two callouts planned, and I've started working on one. I'd like to have many many more, so input from the community would be really appreciated, seeing as I don't actually know that much about the daily life of a police officer.
Planned Callouts
Notify next of kin Supervise city event Reports of vandalism (vehicle, building) Loitering (in progress) Noise complaint Security alarm check Notify next of kin
This one is rather depressing. Someone has died, and it's your duty to go to their home and notify their next of kin of the death of their loved one...
However, sometimes, no one's home. It's up to you to ask around the neighborhood and maybe find out where they work, and go there to bring the sad news.
And, in some rare cases, the family members may have disappeared too... It's up to you to investigate and find them, and bring them to safety if needed........
Supervise city event
There's a festival going on in Los Santos! Who knows what it's for, but everyone is having a great time. It's a big enough festival that a few blocks of a main road are closed off, and it's your responsibility to supervise and make sure the festivities don't get out of hand.
Also watch out for anyone trying to drive past the police barricades into the festival area! Wouldn't want anyone to get hurt now would we?
Sometimes someone may have had a little too much to drink. If they're causing a ruckus, it's up to you to escort them out of the festival area, or call an ambulance if they're really THAT drunk!
Reports of vandalism
Oh no! Someone has smashed up a car or tagged a building. Yeah, the graffiti might look cool, but it's still illegal! Catch the perpetrator and take them back to the station so they can learn their lesson!
Loitering
This is a fairly common occurrence in Los Santos. People are hanging around an area when they're not supposed to be! Stop them, and check to make sure none of them are fugitives! Tell the others to leave the scene or be arrested. Good luck!
Noise complaint
There's a party, or maybe a car radio, that's way too loud and the citizens are complaining. Tell the owner to turn the volume down, and maybe even issue them a citation depending on the laws of YOUR town!
Security alarm check
A local business's alarm is going off. It often goes off, and it's always been a false alarm in the past, but dispatch wants you to go check it out and turn the alarm off. You never know who's hiding behind those dark corners!
Happy policing!

OfficerMasson got a reaction from drsn0w in [WIP] Routine Police WorkYup, I am in North Texas, not a high "horrible" crime area, mostly the routine stuff.
