Whelen Cencom Red Siren | FiveM Ready

I literally have never done an import like that...and I've done countless cars and other items, so yeah, the instructions do help. Your instructions were 1 sentence. You could have very easily include that in the original submission. I guess you can't take criticism. Too bad. Life's rough. Wear a helmet. -

Still searching for the answer on how to install. Google turns up vague results. Videos shows a different type of file. Quote: "I can't just type it out I don't have the time for that, just watch a youtube tutorial. You need openIV and just need to learn how to import vehicles.oac, it's easy." Constructive criticism: This is the lazy way out. Sure it's easy....for people who already know how to do it, or the intricacies of the file structure. For more novices (like myself), do a short instruction. It won't take a lot of time if it's so easy. Helpful people who take time to put out instructions (like Albo) get more respect and thus, more hits. You should follow that lead. -

Computer+ and a Weird Alert
RogersHornsby replied to RogersHornsby's topic in Discussion & Suggestions
I tend to agree but have you had this? I wasn't on a call, this was a simple red light violation stop. I wish I could program because this gives me a cool idea to work off this. -
Playing last night I made a stop for a car that ran a red light. Doing a check on the person I came up with the following alert: "Alert Individual is a pol" I've never seen it before and it leads me to a bunch of questions. Any insight on what this was and what it is referring to?

LSPDFR Blocked Plugin and spawning into Micheal's house
RogersHornsby replied to aGr8Name's topic in LSPDFR 0.4 Support
Thanks for posting this. It's the more simple things you forget to look at. This solved my only problem with LSPDFR. Version 0.4 has been VERY stable even with the amount of plugins and visual enhancements I have....and I DON'T have a great computer to run this on!!! -
This is a game changer!! During pursuits, it is so much easier to keep your hands on the controller and call in backup. During a firefight, super easy to get additionals. What would make this really step up is for me to call in I'm on on a traffic stop, and it places me 10-7, so no callouts happen during the stop. Once I'm done, I can go back to being 10-8. Please make this so.

I omitted most of your quote, but I wanted to address this one: I think you need to have a thicker skin. If you put something....ANYTHING out to the public, expect some dissenting opinions. If you saw my first sentence saying I appreciate what you do, then you would have understood that it was once aspect of the script (the visual YOU put in YOUR video) that I had the issue with. People were searching for this...they saw your video and expected it in. It was not and it took 110 page for that to come up. So in essence, relax...but understand that it's not good business to show something in a script you made that doesn't get included. I have seen that script and thank you for it. I don't use it because I want my peds to freak out every once in a while. It keeps me as an "officer" on my toes and I enjoy cleaning up the messes the AI does on the highway. Call me weird ;)

This! It goes without saying that the mod and all his mods are fantastic, but to not include something you advertise on your video is misleading and to find it on page 110 of comments is close to unforgivable. I recommend adding a quick note to your update saying something simple like "Note: The handheld radar depicted in my video is not included in this release". It would clear up any confusion. Also read random peds attacking you because they think it's a gun. These 2 oversights guarantees I'll never use this feature.

Computer + not opening with standalone car
RogersHornsby replied to RogersHornsby's topic in LSPDFR 0.3 Support
That was exactly it!! Excellent work!! Thank you very much!! I'm keeping that text in case I want to add additional slots. -
I have this same exact issue with one of my cars I have added and I think I'm 90% there. It spawns, but the Computer + doesn't work. The added car did not come with a carvariations.meta file, and I simply have no idea of what data to put into the existing file to get it working. Can you get me over the goal line, please?
-
A good question! Have I done anything like that separate than those 2 packs? No My question is: if you install a pack that adds extra slots, would it install it for me? I'm leaning towards no.
-
Yeah, I'm using the mods folder. I went so far as to try Albo's MODDING folder hoping that would help things, but no. Specifically, what works is the 2 packs I have done: BCSOpack and LSPDpack. Those came with 7 cars each. I can swap skins, replace cars in there just fine...no issues at all. Anything else, anywhere else doesn't work. I have tried installing all kinds of different cars hoping for some progress. I have successfully installed a FocusRS and a GTO...but they HAVE to be in those 2 folders, and they replace an existing car. Nothing new will go in. Maybe this may help more. What I would like to accomplish is the following: 7 (or more) LSPD cars 7 (or more) Blaine County Sheriff cars 7 (or more) State Police cars. In the future I may want to try replacing cars that spawn, but I need to fix this issue first. Side note: Thanks to one of your other tutorials, I am able to have different units called out depending on location (backup.xml file). I appreciate that!!
-
I know this is a topic covered many times over, but for some reason I'm having a really hard time. This is what I have: I have 7 slots for both Police and Sheriff. They were packs I installed and they all work fine. I have changed skins on them, and other things. They work great!! If I put any other vehicle (replacements) in these 2 packages, it works great. Adding any more, it just won't do it. I have looked at videos, went through the steps by Kallus Rourke, and every time I do all the steps and go in, the game crashes. In addition, if I tried to add or replace a vehicle in ANY other pack (Patchday, or any other flavor) that won't work either. I'm just stuck. Any ideas what what I'm doing wrong?
-
It was also a tactic (discouraged nowadays) to distract a person in the car if they are in the middle of hiding any illegal drugs or weapons. They would knock or tap on the trunk to give them that extra split second. It's discouraged now because it can give a suspect the officer's position and thus a better chance to harm him in any way.
-
Is there a mod, or can someone build a mod to touch the back of the car when doing a traffic stop? Officers do this to every car during a stop and I would like to be able to do the same. Seems like it would be pretty easy to program.
-
Is there any way you can sort of pass the torch of this onto another person who is more active? Reason why I ask is because I believe you are onto something here and if it was done correctly, it could be a very important aspect to LSPDFR. I could see a future where you choose right at the first screen on what branch you choose and callouts, etc. can be written from what you choose. Just my $0.02

I have an issue that may or may not be similar. If I launch with RageHook, it will not load. Says something about GTA not launched by a valid install or something. My workaround is I doubleclick on GTA V first, wait about a second or two, then launch RageHook. Works for me.

Hi guys, New here (first post). Have a question. I wanted to play LCPDFR, so I performed all the downloads and installs necessary. I have it working and I am able to arrest, stop pedestrians, ticket cars, etc. The issue I seem to be having is the controls. First thing I noticed was when I was doing a stop, instead of plain old <space>, I had to use the <shift> key as well. OK, no big deal. There were a few other quirky controls that I can't remember off the top of my head. Moving on to the controller (I am using an XBox One controller) bringing up the menu to call for let's say, a helicopter is difficult, especially in a chase. Also responding to a call using the LB and A will cause my officer to shoot and not take the call. Just was wondering if this is a common occurrence, or does it have to do with the Mac keyboard. I know I can make changes to the controls for GTA IV, but can you for LCPDFR? If so, can you map for both the keyboard and controller?
