A Blaine County Sheriff Deputy working a secondary job, doing traffic control as road construction continues in Blaine County.

Escaped convict captured after a 911 tip alerted police to his whereabouts.
the suspect was arrested without incident. And had been on the run for over
a week. 

After a Blaine County sheriff's deputy  tried to perform a traffic stop on a vehicle
in Sandy Shores, The suspect refused to stop leading the deputy on a high speed
chase. The Los Santos police department joined the chase as it entered the city.
The suspect crashed on interstate 2 And was transported to the medical center
no word on his injuries....several charges are pending....
 

At around 4:40 pm (EST) this afternoon a silent alarm was triggered at a Sandy Shores
liquor store. Upon arrival the B.C.S.O found two suspects inside the establishment. Both
men were armed and holding the store clerk hostage. The B.C.S.O. Swat team was called
to the location and was in place during the incident. The Sheriff's Dept. Hostage negotiator
was called to the scene,  and made contact with the suspects and after almost three hours
of standoff the suspects gave up without incident. The store clerk was transported to the
Sandy Shores medical center with what was described as non life threatening injuries. The
SSVFD was on location to provide medical assistance..
 

The Blaine County Sheriff's Department, along with the highway patrol responded
to a call of an unresponsive person in a vehicle. Upon arrival they found an elderly
gentleman with what appeared to be a single gunshot wound. no further details
are available at this time.
