  1. He just recently went AFK, so I'll get back to you on that in about an hour. Thanks for your time and effort for this matter so far, though.
  2. I wish this was the case, but it was still not working, even without the trainer. And I set his trainer to be disabled on startup, so this wouldn't happen. Also, keybiddings are disabled on startup, as well...
  3. He tried using both, and I use Left Alt + P myself, and it works perfectly fine.
  4. I cannot be absolutely sure, since I can't control his computer with the game on, but I do have confidence that he is using the right keys in-game. I also had him print off the LCPDFR key guide, just in case... He can operate ELS and Simple Trainer, so I'm sure he'll be able to operate LCPDFR.
  5. IKR, this is why I came here, because this is more than just a simple fix. I just can't pin point the issue...
  6. As I mentioned a few posts ago, I made a shortcut for him that automatically runs it as an administrator.
  7. Hmmm.... Then what can it possibly be....
  8. I am currently controlling his PC and using it to post this. Here is the text files from Scripthook and Advancedhook.
  9. You can browse for the directory manually, which is what I have to do, since it can't automatically find it. And yes, I just double checked, and his scripts are all there and inside the scripts folder (Including the LCPDFR folder). Also, I just realized that yes, LCPDFR is coded in C-sharp. Different languages, same concept,
  10. As in LCPDFR? Yes, I can. I just have to browse for it. Not too hard... However, does LCPDFR use the registry in-game to find out where the game directory is to enable itself, or is the programming itself self-aware of which folders to go to from it's own location? Or am I just overthinking this? I am a basic C++ programmer through CMU, so I kinda know how the language itself works...
  11. I don't think so, since Steam separates them into two different game directories, grand theft auto iv for the original and Grand Theft Auto IV Episodes from Liberty City for the episodes. Is there something in the registry I may have overlooked? Such as a binary key that needs the game directory? PS. ( And yes, there is still a problem...
  12. I just went through and made sure that he had x86 and x64. Could having both versions cause the issue? Also, the LCPDFR installer still can't automatically find the game directory. Can this cause LCPDFR to not fully functional, even if I put in the right directory?
  13. Ah, sorry. Yes, we put a fresh install of C++ and .net framework on there, and made sure GWL was updated, as well.
  14. @rjn4, After I install any mods on mine or someone elses computer, I always make sure the entire game directory is not Read-only. I wish it was that simple, though. I did search the forums, but I couldn't find any solutions. I am not one to waste one's time for something already fixed before. @Asuna, The game is up to date via Steam Update, and is v1.0.7.0. The installer and G17 diagnostics tool were both being ran as administrator. Not quite sure what you mean by pre-requistes. I would also like to point out, before anyone asks, is that I made him a shortcut of LaunchGTAIV.exe on his desktop and updated the compatibility properties so it always ran as an administrator. I informed him to only use that shortcut to ensure his mods would work. Thank you guys for your time and effort out of your days to help me. It means a lot.
  15. Hello Everyone, A clan member of mine recently bought a laptop I recommended to him to play GTA IV on (For those curious, it was this one: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16834246328), and he downloaded GTA IV: The Complete Edition off of Steam. So he asked me to help him mod the game for him. About 5 hours after he got the laptop in the mail, I Remote Assisted him and downloaded my mod pack. After we got it all setup, I told him to test it out. As soon as he got in the game, he couldn't turn LCPDFR on. I told him to see if anything else worked, such as ELS, and everything else was working. So, I went on his laptop and took everything mod related out of the game directory, and I tried to reinstall LCPDFR again via the installer. As soon as I got to the end, but before the installer actually installed anything, it came back with this error: Installation component 'CppScriptHook' error'd! at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy, Boolean useLongPath) at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share) at System.IO.File.WriteAllBytes(String path, Byte[] bytes) at G17MediaSetupEngine.Stuff.ExtractResourceToPath(String resourceName, String destName, Boolean pureres) at G17MediaSetupEngine.Stuff.ExtractResourceToPath(String resourceName, String destName) at G17MediaSetupEngine.Installation_Components.CScriptHook.beginComponent() at G17MediaSetupEngine.UI.Interface.wizardControl1_SelectedPageChanged(Object sender, EventArgs e) at G17MediaSetupEngine.UI.Interface.wizardControl1_SelectedPageChanged(Object sender, EventArgs e) I then logged onto the LCPDFR website and directly downloaded LCPDFR RC2. Same result. So, I waited til the next day to try. Had him restart the computer. Same result. So I went onto the LCPDFR website and went through the troubleshooter. Finally got the installer to work, but still had the problem of LCPDFR not starting in-game, even without any other mods. All other mods still work. Because LCPDFR wasn't starting in-game, there was no LCPDFRErrorLogging file yet. So I downloaded the G17 Diagnostics Tool. When I ran it as an administrator, it couldn't find the game directory (I should also mention that the LCPDFR installer couldn't find it, as well). So I went through his Windows Registry to make sure that it had all the correct keys in it. It was completely identical to mine. This is where I am stumped. LCPDFR isn't working at all, G17 Diagnostics can't find the game, so I can't get a log from it, and his registry is fine. I hope this gives enough information for us to get started. Thank you in advance for any help received. I am sure my clan member would appreciate any help, as well, since he's invested $600 to do nothing but play GTA IV with LCPDFR. PS. I am working from this computer remotely, so I can't give feedback right away or physically alter the computer itself.
  16. I do not see such a file in neither the game directory, nor in the GTAIV/scripts/LCPDFR folder. Would I need to create a file or try to reinstall it? EDIT: I now am getting a Crash Line in the Error Report, please check towards the bottom of the attached document to see it. EDIT 2: Fixed it. I downloaded the programs that were listed in the LCPDFR Description (.Net and the other one) and now it loads the game and works. Thanks for the support guys. Sorry for wasting some time. (I feel like a dumb***, now)
  17. Already ahead of you, bud. Also tried running Windows Vista capability, still nothing.
  18. Alright, I'm now having the same issue. When the loading screen is about to switch to gameplay, my GTA IV crashes. I've had this happen to me for the last 6 monthes now, and finally decided to try again. No luck. I have GTA 4 V1.0.7.0 and Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit. Also, the only mod I have is LSPDFR, and the game works if I move it out of the game's folder. Oh, and I downloaded the game from steam recently, but even if it use from a disc, same result. I'm trying to use the latest version of LCPDFR provided on this site, as well. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
