Cease and Desist on Grand Junction Police Department Skins
Well, I'd like to thank you for what I can expect from the rest of the community later on. I understand that you are being polite about this, but not everyone will be as respectful. I understand that I will not be liked in this community anymore. I am not saying I am leaving, but I am definitely not going to participate as much anymore due to further risk of damaging the community's image. I hope for the best for LCPDFR, even if it means that I have to leave the picture.

I understand where you are coming from, but you also got to understand that LCPDFR is a public modification, open to the public. I think the members of this community know about the risks they take when they upload potentially copyrighted content. Yet, we still remain prosperous in the fact that we stick together, no matter what. And if you really think that LCPDFR is in danger because of one member's mistake, then why isn't it closed in private so that it could never be jeopardized in such a way? I apologize for making this community look bad, but you got to understand that with something this big, something will eventually. I too hope that never happens. I thank you for your concern, but I am responsible for my future. If I jeopardized my future, it's my fault, no one else's. Therefore, I do not deserve remorse. I am willing to take full responsibility for my actions. And if you believe that I will cause more harm, I can leave this community so it can continue to prosper without me single handedly ruining it.

Cease and Desist on Grand Junction Police Department Skins
Yes, sending them a message like that was wrong in the first place. It was the most idiotic and stupidest thing that I could of done. Jump on the bandwagon, cause you ain't the first nor last person to throw that in my face. Was I thinking straight that day, maybe not. But I am not going to go behind the GJPD's back, hide in the corner, and then pretend nothing happened. I wanted them to be informed that I was using their image. I believe it would of caused more harm if they found out about it before I told them. And I sure as heck wasn't trying to prance around yelling "LOOK WHAT I DID, LOOK AT ME" to everyone. I wanted to inform them before an even worse scenario happened. Maybe you don't realize this, but this was a personal request from the Chief so he can protect the GJPD's image. Kate Porras, spokeswoman and Press Director for the GJPD, informed me that there was no legal action since the GJPD doesn't have their stuff copyrighted. The real reason that the Chief wanted it down is because of the Bad Rep the PD has gotten in the last couple of years because of off-duty officers doing stupid sh*t, like cutting up homeless people's tents or beating the sh*t out of them. Also, what is wrong with being proud of your work and community. I understand that copyright is the main reason you guys don't show-off your work, but you can't stay a hermit forever. With how big this community is and growing more and more, it will eventually get out to the public. So Thank you for attacking me for my decisions. I know I did wrong. I obviously should have never started this project due to how many times I have been attacked now. I promise you that I won't try again. Thank you for showing me my errors of my ways, because it had to take someone else to point them out for me to see them obviously. -MostChameleon Fan of the GJPD AND LCPDFR

Cease and Desist on Grand Junction Police Department Skins
To whomever it may concern, Here's the story behind why I cannot upload the GJPD skins anymore: On June 12, 2013, I uploaded the first skin in the form of the Ford Crown Victoria, also uploading a YouTube video up the same day. After I had everything worked out, I sent a message to the GJPD's Official Facebook Page in the following form: I continued working on the skins, eventually uploading the Dodge Charger skin on June 18, 2013. On June 20, 2013, a reporter from the GJ Sentinel came across the Ford Crown Victoria Showcase video, which is the same one I sent to the GJPD. He then e-mailed me, inquiring about the cars. I sent him back a little summary about the LCPDFR community and why I made the cars. The following day (June 21), I received the following from the GJPD's Facebook page: Shocked at the time, I decided to comply and take down the downloads, pictures, and videos I had uploaded with anything related to the GJPD. Seeing as Facebook is not an official way of communication, I called the individual in charge of the page. I left a voice mail with my number. On June 25, I finally got a call back, but from John Camper, GJPD Chief of Police. We discussed it over, and I found out that the order was not necessarily a legal action, but rather a personal favor request from John Camper himself. Because he doesn't know the LCPDFR community too well and the fact that the downloads were open to the public, he didn't want the GJPD's reputation with the community to be diminished. Of course, I still requested the formal letter to prove of our encounter and just got it in today. Because I respect his wishes and would like to be part of the GJPD one day, I am no longer publicly releasing anything about the GJPD including pictures, videos, and downloads. I realize now that contacting the GJPD at the beginning about these cars may have been a mistake, but I still feel they should have been informed one way or another. The reason I am sharing this story is because there were a few members that thought I was making it up (Including GPM's Administrative Team) just to make up an excuse to stop making the skins. But I assure you, if it wasn't for this mishap, I would of gladly made the skins and posted them. But I respect the GJPD's decision, so I cannot do that anymore. The GJ Sentinel is still writing about this story and it should be done by Wednesday. If you have any further questions/concerns about this topic, please post below. However, if this topic goes off course or gets spammed a lot with random posts, I will personally ask for this topic to be closed, so keep it clean out there. Thank you. Sincerely, MostChameleon

Grand Junction Police Department, CO Skins - Cease and Desist
To whom it may concern, It is unfortunate that I have to inform anyone of this, but I just received a cease and desist from the Grand Junction Police Department for anything related to the department or the City of Grand Junction and must stop all further development of the GJPD cars and take down the ones that I have up already. I am sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused and would like to request that no one reupload these skins, as this is now a legal matter and wish no one to have to deal with said legal issues. If anyone wishes for any proof on this cease and desist, I should have the formal letter from the department soon. Thank you for your understanding. Sincerely, MostChameleon

Website Problems?
I don't know. I am not really in touch with the dev team. It'll either be up tomorrow, or if it is any longer, they'll probably come out and give a deadline.

Website Problems?
I think the admins are doing some maintenance on the links in the downloads section. Some of the categories weren't working, such as ELS or Non-ELS, and I believe they are now addressing said issues.

Bronies post here! - First LCPDFR brony/MLP discussion thread
Last time I checked, I believed the topic was whether your a Brony or not, not your sexual orientation... Also, just because we watch and enjoy the show doesn't mean we are "gay". I am personally against the union of two men or two women (Doesn't mean that I bash them for being that way, though). This is called love and tolerance, even if someone has different views and ideas than you. Also, I enjoy the show because it actually has a plot in each episode, animation is superb, there is actually some logic involved, and the voice acting is awesome, all things other modern cartoons are missing.

Error arresting + Tazer problem
Did you try the G17 Diagnostics tool? Also, it would be a tremendous help if you can attach your "LCPDFR.txt", "ScriptHook.txt", "ScriptHookDotNet.txt" and the LCPDFR Error log text file from your game directory next time you post. This will help us get a better understanding of how your scripts are running and give us a direction to go to help you.

Error arresting + Tazer problem
Also, this can happen, even if everything is installed and running correctly. For instance, about 30 min. into the game, an unexpected error will happen to me. To fix this temporarily and continue playing the game, open the dev console (Press the ~/` button on the top left of your keyboard) and type in "reloadscripts", without the quotations, of course. Then simple press Alt + P to open LCPDFR again, but instead of going into the police station again, if you are still in uniform, just press Left Ctrl + P to force duty and continue playing. Also, if you were in a pursuit, pulling someone over, or responding to a callout, this will cancel it. However, if this problem persists, and it is doing it all the time, then try Asuna's suggestion and reinstall .NET Framework 4, and if it still continues, reinstall LCPDFR again. Also make sure that your GTA IV game directory is not read-only and you are running GTA IV as an Administrator. I hope this helps.

[offtop] Has anyone seen this amazing Gmod MLP video? It's just beautiful, and I believe this guy needs more views that what he can currently muster. He did an amazing job on this piece. https://www.youtube....h?v=uLGkEAnt49U [/offtop]

<--- I think that's proof. I also love the show itself. Just look at my secondary YouTube channel, it has every MLP episode in 720p, no commercials, no watermarks, and full credits. http://www.youtube.com/user/MostBrony

LCPDFR not working, GTA IV opens.
Ok, success. We installed GTA IV via the disc and we were able to get LCPDFR running. The only thing I can think of that went wrong is that Steam didn't insert the proper registry keys for LCPDFR and the G17 Diagnostics tools needed to use for the game directory. Thank you guys for your support and time and helping me figure it out. *hands over a box of muffins* Also, if you guys are ever looking for more testers or community members to help out around the forums, you can count me in. I have about 2 years of experience with LCPDFR and it is one of the most beautiful pieces of programming I've come by. You guys are just pure amazing. Thank you guys for 2 years of great gaming experience. I wish I could help you guys more, but as the going says, "You can't help those that don't want help". Thanks again.

LCPDFR not working, GTA IV opens.
Well, the diagnostics tool can't find the game, so how is it supposed to know something does/doesn't exist if it can't find where it's supposed to be first?

LCPDFR not working, GTA IV opens.
I was just informed that the member in question went out and bought the game disc via Wal-Mart. I guess we're going to see if it's just having the Steam version on his machine is what's up. I know it's usually not the Steam version's fault, especially since I use the Steam version, but it could have something to do with his registry, so we're going to see if the disc will install the keys properly where the diagnostics will start working.
