When you hit backup 'state police' it spawns either the police bike (policeb) or police4. Replace police4 with whatever car you want to use following all steps to ensure lights work properly and whatever and your done even on LSPDFR .2. I did it myself and works fine. I also edited police radio to spawn police4 when you call backup with that program since I'd rather see a SAHP car as backup than a police car in the county or a sheriff car in the city. I also reskinned the bike with a SAHP texture from a mod here so it didn't show a highway patrol officer on a city police bike.

I think you could take this idea and mold it into something fun as a mod or maybe LSPDFR itself. I find myself not sure what dept I want to patrol for or where I want to patrol and in the end I end up going to same old places. There's sections I've just never gone to and not sure why. I would like a supervisor mod or feature that acts like a boss. I get into the game, select the dept I'm going to work for and then the supervisor tells me what area to patrol this game session and reasons why and what to focus on that shift. Such as, 'Officer, I want you to patrol the docks today because we've been getting reports that drugs have been coming in through there. Pull over and question any shipping trucks you can when not on calls. I'd like to see at least ten truck pullovers.' Now I have a passive task when not actively answering radio calls. Or, 'Deputy, I want you to focus on the Sandy Shores community today and be on the lookout for a Hippy Van that fled the scene of a police raid on a meth house last night.', so you do your usual thing but have a overall task for the entire shift such as pulling over any hippy van you come across. I don't really care if there is some script to actually make one of those trucks carry drugs or for that one hippy van to have a drug dealer driving but it would be a nice touch and nothing on the map to reveal that this is the one to pull over. Just a believable scenario of why I should patrol a certain area and what to be looking out for. It's getting kinda boring to pull over speeders so looking for that rare hippy van or waiting for a truck to leave the port gates would add something. The options are endless from patrol this area because of a drive by last night by a low rider to patrol that highway simply because complaints of speeders are flooding in.

I downloaded the mod but sadly the main reason I would want it (the CSI) results in a 100% crash of the mod or entire game when they arrive and get out of the vehicle.

I use police radio already to make the calls more engaging than simply shoot the guy dead, hop back in my car, and drive off. I want to work a scene and the coroner and tow truck mod helps but I'd like to fully role play and calling an ambulance first before the coroner would be great. Calling a supervisor just to show up and start writing on a note pad and maybe taking pictures would be great too. Finally, CSI to work a crime scene. Love the mods but I like to drag out a crime scene and role play it as I enjoy that more than just jumping from call to call as fast as humanly possible. Presently, when I'm at a crime scene I slow down traffic, put cones out to direct traffic, and call a police radio backup if possible to create more officers standing around. I can't use the LSPDFR backup since they just show up and immediately leave unfortunately. I then search the vehicle and call the coroner. Lastly, I call for a tow then end the call. Adding the supervisor (instead of backup), an ambulance to pronounce the guy dead before calling coroner, and having CSI work the scene before the coroner takes the body would take the role play to another level.

Only if you can find some way to implement something that is NOT typing actual names and license plates as it is impossible to keybind every mod perfectly in such a way that you don't end up conflicting and causing adverse reactions when typing names. To run a name now I have to make sure I am not in my car and not near the suspect's car and all by myself for it to work without error.
