new rig
Your case is more then a hundred dollars?? Holy crap! I mean mine is but I've got sheets of carbon fiber I'm gonna make as a shell.

new rig
Hmm then building you a rig for games like that shouldn't be difficult and won't be overly expensive. Intel's tend to be better for people who don't over clock and just want to play and do what ever they want. AMD you can overclock the crap out of, in most cases they can blow away most intel's if overclocked right. Plus AMD is cheaper and you generally feel better about overclocking a 200-300 dollar chip than an 600-1000 dollar chip lol. Anyways, you do know how to put together a computer and buy parts individually right? If you do then great, you will be able to get the most bang for your buck. Plus you might learn a thing or two and get to set up things your own way, and the way you like it. I've gone so far as to designing my own computer case, I've bought sheets of aluminium and carbon fiber, gonna completely build my own case. Anyways, you are just interested in playing games like GTA IV and minecraft? What are a few of the other games, out of curiosity? Also I'm guessing you don't make/render 3d models or video? Also what kind of quality are you interested in?

new rig
Handsup has a good point, what do you plan to get out of your system? Also how experienced are you with computers, like overclocking? Is that something you are interested in? Are you planning on recording your gameplay? Plus do you prefer AMD or Intel?

Quick question!!
I agree, it sounds like a PSU problem, however make sure that your PSU is strong enough to handle what ever hardware you have recently added or changed if you have. I would also install a fresh copy of GTA IV (back up your old one just in case) and see if its the game (unlikely though with your unit making noise). It could also be a graphics card malfunction, and its trying to switch to a basic graphics mode or use your apu if your cpu has one. I would go through and check your PSU make sure its running and isn't the noise source, check your gpu by running some sort of render test like cinebench and see what starts faulting, also I'd also check for faulty wiring between your PSU and motherboard. Does your PSU shut off when your computer is hit or does the computer reboot automatically?

Computer Specs
Have you already bought this gaming rig? What is/was your budget? Also do you intend to overclock your cpu? Other than that though the system looks good enough to run GTA IV pretty decently. The graphics card should be able handle GTA IV and the SSD will help out. I couldn't help but notice though you don't have any other forms of storage other than the small SSD?

What are your specs?
Yeah but that's all at stock though, that's something you have to remember, start overclocking and AMD will catch up so easily. And I have nothing against Intel, I'm just not conferrable overclocking the crap out of a 500-1000 dollar chip xD. I mean in my gaming laptop no doubt intel, but in my tower, I've got an AMD with water cooling and a few high powered fans. But I'm gonna get a freezer type box for it lol. EDIT: Here is something I'm gonna try. Here's a link.

What are your specs?
Yes well there is definitely a huge price difference no doubt however and 8 core AMD processor such as the FX-8350 over measures the average 4 core i7 such as the i7-3820 (comparison here). Also the FX-8350 is just under the i7-4960X which is intel's extreme 6 core processor (comparison here). And this is only on stock for both processor, sure you might be able to over clock the intels just a little bit but amd's you can just destroy and they still run and get them high enough (which they definitely can run at faster frequencies than intels) they will rank higher. Plus I don't know about you guys but I'd feel more conferrable overclocking a $300 cpu than a $1k lol. Yes there are differences between intel and AMD and it depends on your preference and how advanced you are. If your the average gamer who isn't interested in overclocking or modifying your cpu then I wouldn't recommend trying, so stick with the intel. But if you're not afraid, know how to overclock properly, and don't mind replacing a $300 or so cpu then you can out rank an intel cpu. I agree and disagree with ya, but I understand where you're coming from.

What are your specs?
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Cause I was rooting around the Intel website and couldn't find a full 8 core. I was just double checking.
-
What are your specs?
Hey Crawford? What is the model of your i7, I'm curious to find out which i7 model has 8 cores, its usually 4 cores but 8 threads from what I've seen. I'm totally gonna go looking for this 8 core if that's what you've got!

Got a new Graphics card!
Agreed, your processor plays a huge role, I'd say just as much or just about as much as your GPU does in this game. I've got an i7-3610QM at 2.3 GHz (4 cores, 8 threads) and a 7970m with 2 gigs, and 16 gigs of ram and I run about 45-55 frames and rarely drop below 40 but as soon as I start recording with fraps (full 1080p) I'm down around 25-30ish. Although I am curious how the new AMD graphics cards handle GTA IV........ I opened a thread on it >here

Some Things I Made
Lol nice way to indirectly advertise a clan :p but none the less you definitely have talent in graphical design.

How laggy does my game look? How many FPS does it look like I get?
I would have to agree with sharp, however if you are using something like FRAP I would recommend recording at higher frames so it doesn't look so laggy. I had an ENB that was mixed with around 3 other ENBs and it really lagged my game in this recording (

Possible New Siren?
Hey does anyone know where or able to develop some sort of siren that is similar to the OPP one however through one of its cycles such as the air horn, a full hazard one would blare like a combination between two or three sirens. Something that screams emergency move.....LIKE NOW!.....?

WTF?? can someone help me with my problem
I agree with ineseri, try using TrafficFlow first before doing anything like reinstalling your game. However if the problem persists and you are certain that peds and cars AREN'T disabled in your native trainer then you may have to reinstall the game. Also, if you have any GTA IV editting tools open when you run the game, you can also try to close those then run it just in case those programs are the source of your problem.

Free Website Hosting?
If you are looking for a website host, than 000webhost.com is the best that I've found so far if you don't have your own server. However it depends how much space you need, and how much processing power? Do you have some sort of extreme flash intensive website? If not then you really only need to be worried about disk space, and bandwidth. However if you want it to load faster (if its a basic website generally) then you might want to look into a host that provides SSD space, in which case you'll likely to pay for it.

Problem joining multiplayer lobby
The only solution that has worked for me and a few members in RPC3 is either temporarily disabling their anti-virus and/or temporarily completely disabling their windows 'firewall' (public, private, and domain). Of course you can turn all this stuff back on once your multiplier session has ended. Also if you have other programs such as hamachi or evolve I would say try disabling the virtual network adapters those programs installed which usually take priority over some things such as Upnp. I can tell you even though my firewall is completely opened up for GTA IV, if its on I immediately get moderate NAT types, but as soon as I disable it my NAT type shoots straight open.

GTA Policing Tools
What is the spike strip feature like? Is it a request that is placed and AI police set it up or is it a device a player can manually set down? Does it work in a multiplayer situation?

Chrome Experiments
Holly crap, I like how this is kinda random and so cool, I like the water/ball/pool simulator thing. That'd be cool if some games were that realistic!

Steam OS
Hmm definitely interesting, I would have to say it would be pretty cool to see companies like Valve and others similar to them throw their weight at a Linux based operating system. Once you get a few major companies involved others will join in because that's just another operating system you can make money on. If companies invested in making a Linux based operating system into a real gaming one where you can actually play a real 3D game then I can see windows fading in the future. Personally I have Linux as my primary general use operating system on just about every computer in the house. The only reason I would really use Windows is for gaming, that's it. Once good games/future top titles make it onto Linux. Well then windows is being thrown off my computer lol.

A Not so expensive gaming pc/laptop
Well it depends, I do agree with the players here that say that desktops are much better, as they are and always will be. However like me I did start with a gaming laptop because I was very mobile at the time (about a year and a half ago). This way I could keep up with the games and clans I was in while traveling around and what not. However if you are not someone who travels a lot or moves around then there is really no point to a gaming laptop since if you think about it when would you unplug it? Also if you do unplug it, what you're gonna take it to your living room and plug it in there? A desktop can do that just as well lol. A desktop in general just has a lot more power behind it and you really get what you pay for it, if you play it right. Plus you can definitely upgrade it, with a laptop most you can't pick up a new mobile CPU and throw it in there or GPU. Even though I have a gaming laptop that I can do that, it isn't easy to find a new mobile gpu that has the matching port, plus its a hassle to take apart, and you'll hit a point really quick where you're just gonna have to up grade the entire motherboard to keep up with technology, which is like replacing the whole damn computer because the components that are removable probably won't be compatible with the new system. Its just much easier with a desktop, especially when upgrading it. So it depends what your situation is and what you intend to do on it. Obviously you intend to game a little bit but if you just wanna keep up with minecraft and GTA IV lets say, a beast isn't really required.

New AMD Series Graphics Cards?
Hey so I'm looking at these new announcements and releases that AMD is bringing forward to us gamers and I'm wondering how much better are their cards gonna be, if anyone has read into them? I'm kinda curious if they are gonna destroy the Titan or sort of match up to it? Thinking of getting one when they start hitting the shelves at the PX on base here, but not sure whether or not its gonna be worth it.

New Computer Build
^^ Plus if you get an FX series processor like an 8 core, its an 8 core, not 4 then 4 threads. Plus you can really over clock the s**t out of AMD processors generally. But if you intend to do overclocking dusk I'd also look into some good cooling.

Windows 8.1 - Anyone have it yet?
Personally Windows8 just isn't my thing. I like my start menu where it is in Windows7. At least for a desktop operating system, however for a tablet Windows8 isn't bad because the metro screen works great on a native touch screen environment. Plus on a tablet its much better than Windows7 because it was mainly designed for touch screen devices.
