  1. An I5 and the 980 Ti will last you a long time with an easy 60FPS+ max settings on even upcoming games. Dunno where you heard that the I5 is bad but that isn't true.
  2. Wut The 4690k is one of the best CPU's on the market right now for gaming. You could SLI 980 Ti's and barely get a bottleneck. Along with that, barely any games use more than 4 cores at once. Look at benchmarks, even some show the 4690k performing better than the I7-4790k. If you want advice, do some research before you ignore it. *4690k destroys any AMD FX 8 core*
  3. Like above, building your own PC is the best way. Buying parts and assembling it. It isn't that hard and there are a lot of tutorials on it. Can help you out if you are willing to start :)
  4. I would suggest you go for an I5. How much can you spend?
  5. How much are you willing to spend? Because GTA V is known to have CPU usage problems with AMD ones and seeing that you have a 980 Ti, you don't want to run into any bottlenecks. I would personally stay away from AMD unless you are on a budget but if you want the performance, Intel is better path. Also the 9000 series of AMD CPU's are really bad. Huge TDP and heatspreading while performance is pretty much the same to an OC FX-8350. In the 300$ish range, you can pick up an Intel 4690k with a decent Z97 board that'll give you amazing gaming performance with the 980 Ti. You'll just max out the game @ 1080P/1440P with 60+FPS no problem. If you do video editing/rendering or graphical design like adobe and etc, you can move up if you are willing to pay the extra and go for an I7-4770k/I7-4790k. All in all, I would recommend the 4690k and a Z97 mobo if you are just gaming and want the best FPS :)
  6. Looks solid! Easy 60FPS maxed out on games :)
  7. Tell him it'll be cheaper, better performing and you get to learn a lot in the process. There are more pros than cons in building your own rig :)
  8. Here's a video with the GPU. Personally, don't think reflection MSAA is needed is you barely see it and no advanced options are really needed but just play around with settings! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lEbDdgZgFc Also the 3570k is fine, have the same one and clocked at 4.5 :)
  9. Literally useless. A 980 Ti performs pretty much the same. You just get more VRAM which is er pointless for now unless you wanna play 8k games... At 1080/1440P, easy 60FPS yep maxed out with MSAA x2 as there really isn't a point at going past that. Also recommend using a sweetFX mod, I have one the injects SMAA which is the most efficient AA imo. Also what CPU do you have?
  10. Sorry, was out all day. This computer build will handle literally everything you throw at it. Rendering and gaming, heck both at the same time xD http://pcpartpicker.com/p/BbngWZ Shows all the prices and where to buy at the cheapest website. If you have a microcenter nearby, they always have great deals on parts too. But 1400 bucks for everything you need on the computer and $200 for stuff like mouse/keyboards and etc. I can always make it cheaper by changing around parts but yeah, this will power 2x 1080P screens no problem and games maxed with 60FPS. Also in the future, if you wanna go higher res or more screens, the board is 3 way SLI capable so throw in another Graphics card and it'll be perfect :)
  11. tthere's a very easy way to get parts at the cheapest prices. Already have a list for you if you are interested.
  12. Sounds like it can't find certain files. Try removing all extra plugins and running only LSPDFR.
  13. Lemme guess, you are buying a pre built computer? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEE don't do that. For 1600 bucks, you can buy your own parts and build your own PC that perform MUCH MUCH better. Those specs might get you high with 50-60FPS as that GPU is weak at that price point. If you are willing to put in the effort and learn how to assemble a PC, I can teach you how to start and step by step info if you want. Don't worry, it isn't hard to do, just need to learn it. Also to put in a real life example between buying that and building your own. Your pre-built=GTA V @high with 50-60ish FPS. Building yourself=GTA V Maxed out with an easy 60+ FPS. Price=Same and also building it yourself makes it look a lot nice and clean :)
  14. lol no worries, if you want send me a PM and I'll help you there directly and without spamming this older thread.
  15. Looks freaking amazing, sad to see the disagreement between parties :( Hopefully, it gets resolved soon
  16. Delete all ragehook/LSPDFR files from your main directory. Then install LSPDFR first then RRagehook 22 and overwrite any files. Then try the game :)

    Watch out!

Nice! What gun model is that?
  18. Post your ragehook log please in a spoiler please.
  19. Did you change anything to CryENB? Looks freaking amazing
  20. lmao, I'm surprised it can load windows xD
  21. Why? A 650 isnt the weakest thing out there. His 7 year old CPU and his RAM is probably more of a concern tbh.
  22. like aabove, don't buy a prebuilt. Honestly, you won't get a good gaming experience if you buy pre built. You can build a decent rig if you are in the UK for around £550-650. Depends on how much you are willing to futureproof/spend.
  23. Either your friend has an AMD CPU that is bottlenecking the GTX970 or its not a 970. I have an Asus Strix 970 and run the gun with near max settings (except grass and msaa) and easily get a stable 60fps with vsync on. 60-80 without. I'm assuming your friend has an AMD CPU as the 970 is much better than the 960. And as mentioned before, try to go Intel if you can. I had an FX-6350 clocked at 4.4Ghz and it definitely bottlenecked my game till I switched and bought an used 3570k. Huge difference in performance. There is no point to go I7 especially if you are on a budget as you'll see such little difference in gaming performance. Pick up a I5-4460 and a cheaper Z97/H97 board and you'll be set. It'll perform better than the FX. That also allows you to upgrade down the road to a better i5 or even i7. *Also, why the heck would you get a 980? An overclocked 970 matches the performance of a 980 and he should be more focused on a better CPU. The 970 is perfectly fine...
  24. Hey! I'd be glad to help you out. Generally speaking, when getting into PC gaming, you need a good enough PC. To check your specs do the following 1. Click start then run (Or Press Window Button + R to open run) Then type "dxdiag". Then click Yes and you will see your computers specs Please post a picture of those specs here and we'll go from there. An i7 doesn't mean you will always run the game perfectly. An i7 isn't needed to run games as it is more based towards editing and rendering due to hyperthreading and other features. Also GTA is a heavy game on the GPU so if you have a bad GPU, could be why. Even with my I5-3570k from years ago and a new GTX 970, running the game maxed without MSAA and a crap ton of mods, (30+) still get 60-80FPS. Just to point out an I7 doesn't mean you can run everything :)
