  1. I tried to help, because its worked for me. I had a same problem. Maybe I just solved it some other way. (bad english, sorry)
  2. Hi! I think I have a solution. All of the YouTubers(people) do this, they copy-ing all the files from the .rar archive, I don't know how their ELS v8.5 works then. But this method didin't worked for me. So see my picture "1.step". I will explain it. 1. step: Select all files inside .rar file, except "common". Then extract/drag them to you GTA 4 root folder. (see my photo "1. step") 2. step: <For this step you need original GTA 4 "common" folder, that came with your GTA!!! You can download it on internet. If you dont have it.> Open "common" folder that is located in .rar file. And then open the original "common" folder, that is located in your GTA 4 root folder. (see my photo "2. step") 3. step: Drag and drop "visualSettings.dat" to "Grand Theft Auto IV/common/data". It's done! I hope I helped you :) (it's worked for me, I'm sorry for screenshots of the game 'cause it's corrupted) If it still don't works, I'm sorry :( (sorry for my english if it's bad)
