  1. LOL don't worry if I hadn't searched I wouldn't have asked here. Thanks to you being a smart ass though I now notice that if I'm in a thread and search it will display only results from here at first. Thanks!
  2. I had a question related to this tint. Is it possible to make a car slot never have tinted windows by default? How? Thanks
  3. So the documentation is incorrect then? It might be worth raising the issue to LtCaine if that's the case. EDIT: Anyone reading this later on, yes the documentation was incorrect, and this has been fixed in 1.05.
  4. I'm not saying it's not 4K quality, but I don't know what the consequences of having an unusual size for the texture could have. It also might be an indication that you took the 2K texture and resized it to 4K instead of the opposite (I'm not saying you did, but it might raise a flag). Maybe it doesn't cause any alignment issues and there's nothing to worry about, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
  5. The right way *is* to release a limited beta to uncover issues that may not be uncovered by your own testing. You don't have to do it and you're not always going to find issues by doing it, but it's not inherently wrong. EDIT: I don't think betas should go in the Downloads section, for what it's worth.
  6. Are you serious? Literally read the error message.
  7. I'll probably end up doing it for models I enjoy, but if you have any special requests send a PM my way (be specific, I don't wanna do it for the wrong Taurus/Tahoe). I generally favor models that: - Have working primary, secondary and warning lights - Have a traffic advisor (but not always) - Have LODs and a correct ELS config I don't do Christmas trees (I value freedom of choice but three dominators on the front grille seems silly to me) If you can check beforehand that the license lets me release the edited skin, that would be a big help. I hope you enjoy this tiny edit!
  8. Play with car.defaultlight.day.emissive.on and car.defaultlight.night.emissive.on in visualsettings.dat. Try reducing the value.
  9. I would suggest trying one of the light enhancement mods available, like Improved LED Spotlight and Corona, Bright Lights, Not Too Bright Lights, or RadianceV.
  10. Shouldn't the 4k version be 4096x4096 instead of 4048x4048? Or am I the one who messed something up?
This model shows incredible craftsmanship. It is very highly detailed, has beautiful lighting that's not overwhelming, includes a working traffic advisor, and a properly tuned VCF file. Both interior and exterior looks well polished, and there's no doubt that the currently unreleased slicktop version will be something to look out for. There are only two very minor negatives for this model: - Due to the lighting set up, cruise mode ends up lighting every light on the vehicle - If you do not use a lighting enhancement mod like Improved LED and Spotlight, the traffic advisor is dimmed by the SUV's rear window tint and may be hard to spot However you will forget about these minors things the second you engage stage 3 lighting and gasp at the vehicle and its environment.

This is a lightbar/secondary lights skin release. It is not a complete vehicle. You must use this combined with Thehurk's `2016 Ford Police Interceptor Pack w/ HQ Interior`. Read the included README.txt for installation instructions. I've included a VCF file with my own personal tuning and blue environmental lights. I've also included the separate textures if you wish to embed this with another skin. The credit for this work carries over from TheHurk's vehicle available on lspdfr.com: I've simply copy pasted the blue lights over the red lights and adjusted the normal maps, then repackaged it. Please respect Thehurk's wishes with regards to redistribution of this skin, as it is not my own work. To keep it simple, if you wish to redistribute this, I suggest to re-edit the skins yourself. It is very easy. See a small demonstration here: https://youtu.be/n9jr_qgUFmE
This pack is really something. Sirens are well sorted and well labeled, making it easy to hand pick whatever you want and build a custom siren from a few different files if you wish. Some of the sounds have a few clicks or hisses here and there, but really with how hard it is to source these sounds, what can you do? There are so many sirens without any of these issues to pick from that it's not worth complaining about the ones that do have them. The volume can be a tad low which is explained by the use of SirenMastery. Personally I applied a 3 to 6 decibel amplify to some of the sounds to get them up to my taste, without inducing any clipping. This brings the sound level back up to GTA stock or even higher if you wish, as far as I know with no quality loss. Keep up the good work!
Looks great! Thanks for adding some options to a great model.
  11. Yeah, that would make sense. I honestly don't know if it's something worth changing but it felt like it was worth pointing out. I can't wait for the slicktop =D
  12. Okay, I just won't use cruise mode then. I really was more curious about whether or not I had an outdated file anyway. About the traffic advisor, presumably people aren't opening the boot while using it. I know I wasn't. It's only a nitpick anyway, the environmental effects still make it illuminate the scene nicely at the back.
  13. Hey, not sure if it's your mod causing the issue, but with the latest version of it I get the following problems: - Using mimick makes the car in front of me constantly teleport back to the original location I started the mimick from - Using the horn to make a car re-park (for a traffic stop) makes them hit the gas and never stop until they hit a wall. I'll be starting up a new install to test out if it's isolated to this or something else soon, but figured I would report here early. I'm also using ELS which might play into it. Thank you for your continued work, it's good quality stuff! EDIT: I can't reproduce the teleport back thing anymore, although mimick seems finicky.
  14. Is cruise mode meant to light up literally everything, or is that something that would be changed by the updated file? Amazing model and great lighting set up, thank you for your work and adding a great vehicle to the short list currently available. EDIT: Oh I would also agree the traffic advisor looks a bit dim. I'm using VisualV.
  15. You can find a few of them released recently on this site as well. I couldn't tell if they were all updated or just a few because he makes many mods and I haven't played in a while.
  16. I know you didn't say any of those things, that's why I didn't say you did. Really my only intent was to give some good vibes towards the recent version as being stable, in case other people like you were scared away by the crashiness of the previous versions. Personally I think that's what a discussion forum is about, especially in a thread about reasons why people might not use a certain mod. Have a good one!
  17. You literally wrote that part of the reason you won't try ELS V is because ELS IV was crashy, I didn't invent anything. Sorry if you got flustered by my response somehow or if there's a language barrier I'm not aware of.
  18. The fact that you won't try ELS V partly because ELS IV was unstable is exactly what I'm replying to. I wouldn't want others to read your post and be scared away from trying ELS because of inaccurate bias that stems from the older mod. The rest of your reasons are fine even though in a few days it will be irrelevant due to how many vehicles will come out.
  19. I stopped playing GTA IV because of this, but it's pretty much FUD when it comes to GTA V. GTA V ELS (and GTA V + Scripthook/ragehook mods in general) are extremely stable and are more likely to crash themselves and stop working than to crash the engine. That's not to say there aren't a few bad apples out there or that ELS will never segfault your game but I would at least suggest to not promote the idea that ELS in GTA V is or might be unstable just because of anecdotes from a completely different game. For what it's worth, I've probably played longer with ELS on GTA V already than my longest run in months of GTA IV.
  20. Yeah you're right. The entire GTA V community should stop having fun and start preventing the release of one of the most successful GTA mod of all times because you're too lazy to press the "Non-ELS" button when browsing cars.
