  1. make sure you have sliced model selected when you import models if not then this happens and you dummies are messed up
  2. from the looks of the picture you've provided i've come to an conculsion when you imported the model you didnt have sliced model check, that's curcial to the model showing up properly also when importing make sure all your textures are in the same format, dds or png or tga as for attaching stuff drag the mesh, whatever it's called and put it under chassis, the dummy right after the wft dummy once you've done that your good to be able to attach whatever your wishing to attach to the chassis_L0
  3. it doesnt look like so your car was completely white and everything you were working with as well your car would be invisible if you tried to spawn it ingame
  4. you need to import textures before working on a model, always also your dummies are messed up, they should be blue boxes not purple thingys as for attaching stuff you cant attach it because the mesh isn't under the correct parent for you to be able to attach what ever to chassis you would need to put it under chassis dummy and not extra 9 as extra 9 dummy would be it's parent dummy and not chassis dummy, also i would recommend attaching your lightbar to the chassis as it will extremely difficult to edit the model once you've attached it.
  5. you have lots of things named incorrectly that you must fix i would name them but im too lazy to give the run down
  6. LOL evi truck wasnt made unfire it was made by evi the tower ladder in the pic of unfire was made by me but isnt going to be released per request
  7. because gpm was a circle jerk and there site had fallen off of where it use to be which was a pretty decent site until they got ban happy and just gave the wrong people power
  8. no to sum it up its the game redrawing the car every time a new set of extras are setup, and with the els(RMC is lying and has nothing to show) car models use extra's so everytime a new set of extra's are used to make the lights flash the car is redrawn
  9. well i for one want to know what happen with such a close so abrupt and what not i find it diffucult to understand the closing first A51D now LMS, i was really looking foward to seeing some of your work and explaination would be nice to all of your fans so they can understand the reason for closing so abruptly
  10. interesting point you've brought up there nicolaiB but i doubt license holder would go after people such as 3d artist and modeler mainly for the reason that if people are making money, if at all, its not that much to try and pursue it as the money the would spend on court fees would outweigh the money gained from the case. the only time i really see license holders filing a complaint is with game devs such EA and what not purely because they're making a substantial amount of money off of their product. thus a equal understand in met by everyone in society, and really the only time you would really need to pursue a license for something is if your going to be making huge amounts of revenue off of it. as for you last part of your statement it still stands The modding community relies on good faith between the modders as well as a community that refuses to use mods that are stolen, they can't take legal action in any form. Photographers are also required to obtain a license if they are taking photographs on private property. It's more complicated than that though, you cannot take a photograph of a random stranger and sell it, you need to obtain a contract (license/permission) from anyone who is in the photograph. It's more complicated than that.
  11. i dont think you guys understand what he trying to say what gatekeeper was trying to tell modders was to get copyrights not patents patents belong to original creator of designs and engineering and what not a copyright is something anyone can hold on nearly anything for example if i were to take a picture of a crown vic and post it online i would have copyrights of that photo even though a crown victoria was used in the photo the same can be applied to model, a modeler makes a scratch made car model and he can copyright the model, not the design of the model but the 3d rendition of the model it's self. reasoning being that the modeler can copyright the model and not get in trouble is because that modeler created the 3d rendition of the model from scratch and not ford or chevy or dodge and therefore owns the rights to that 3d rendition of the model. this is how turbo squid is allowed to have 3d artist create 3d things and sell them and not get into legal trouble and be able to copyright their models. the problem with gta modding is that very few people would be able to copyright models since mostly everything is shared and passed around. there's very few people who know how to scratch make something and make it look nice. also another problem with that is nearly everything is converted to gta from another game or 3d website(NFS, turbo squid....etc) so being able to get copyrights on something that is already copyrighted would be a long and difficult process for nothing really in hopes that people dont steal your model and try to charge for it, let alone most likely not possible, but on the issue of the dodge magnum and the chevy caprice, the dodge magnum came from nfs hot pursuit and was ripped by evi and the chevy caprice model came from turbo squid, both model are already under copyrights which make trying to gain access to a copyright on those models pointless.
  12. dont move things in perspective viewport you got to use the left, right, front, back, top views if you want to get things accurate and as close as possible
