    I believe he is talking about the main GTA Scripthook. You need ScriptHookV to use LCPDFR and trainer, unless the trainer that I'm using needs ScripthookV, but anyways yeah. ScripthookV has no affiliation to LSPDFR, and RPH. We have to wait for Alexander (Creator of SHV) to update it. Don't know when he will update it though.

    Next year.

    From what I have read, I dont believe LSPDFR uses Scripthook to run. Scriphook only controls your plugin scripts... I could be wrong, im no expert at all. Just from what I read online on the forums.

    LSPDFR uses RPH to run, in order for RPH to work, you need scripthook!

    Edit: Thought they did but don't! Sorry!

    I sure hope this is some sort of prank or scam, as mentioned before this C/D demand letter seems to be full of typos and spelling mistakes. Lawyers are usually pretty thorough on these matters so it does seem a little fishy. In any case, OpenIV can still be used as long as you yank your ethernet cable before updating it, and possibly keeping the game at a previous version through the launcher bypass mod. Hopefully we'll get some real information on whether this is a genuine demand or some idiot playing with the tool creators.

    Where can I find a copy of this C&D letter?

    AN EDIT HAS BEEN MADE ON THE DISCONTINUATION POST:

    Quote

    --------------To make it all clear, here is what happened:1 - At May 19th, 2017, I received an email from the legal counsel for Take Two Interactive in the USA. In this email they has requested to stop immediately any further work and/or distribution of OpenIV and "Liberty City in GTAV" projects.2 – In belief, that we did not violate any laws, I asked them to provide more detailed information about their request. They agreed to provide details by email.3 – On June 5th, 2017, after two weeks of silence, I got C&D letter from lawyers company (legal representative of Take Two in Russia), both in electronic and paper form, to my employer address. This C&D accuses me in Russian laws violations.4 – After many heavy thoughts, we had decided to agree with their claims. We did not make it easily; it is very hard decision for us.--------------

    I don't like how any of this is playing out. I mean, the only thing I have heard is what GooD-NTS has said on the forum. Not to mention the quote on the grammatical errors. It's especially odd, when a PC Gaming news site picks up the story and  reaches out to GooD-NTS, Take 2, and Rockstar all for comment, and hears nothing back. How do we know this isn't some loser trying to get back at the modding community? How do we know this isn't just GooD-NTS wanting to quit working on OpenIV, but doesn't want to right out say it? For me, there isn't enough on the matter to form any feelings towards it. I'm very skeptical at the moment, and I hope more comes to light so we really know what's going on.

    I like your thinking.

    I think it's common knowledge that companies can enforce that software be and remain un-modified, many just choose not to due to the sheer number of people doing it and the difficulty of locating a source -- in this case, locating a source was easy. OpenIV.

    I don't understand why they are so butthurt with people modifying the game, I love the developers at Bethesda and the devs of American Truck/Euro Truck because they don't give a fuck if you mod or not, people can actually fix bugs and make the game look better than before.

    So what about the LSPDFR YouTubers that play this game for a living? Is recording it going to be prosecutable? Will Take-Two actually enforce this rule that modding is apparently "illegal"? I by no means live off of my LSPDFR channel, but Jeff Favignano, Bayareabuggs, Polecat, and Stevethegamer are just a few full time YouTubers that focus on the LSPDFR mod. What does this mean for us content creators?

    This is exactly what I've been looking for! I've been setting up a Free, but very real CAD system the past two days for a community, but this is exactly what we are looking for, especially when you can get it to AutoGen everything! I'm sure it's hard work but keep it up a lot of RP communities will be using this for sure!

    Thanks! Yeah, it's a bit but worth it!

    The Computer Aided Dispatch will be a website where players can join for free in order to save their progress via LSPDFR modification. This website will allow players to;

    Log their patrols: You can keep track of your patrols and how long you have patrolled in the past week.

    Log any incidents: You can log any traffic stops, arrest reports and more!

    More to come!

    This website will also be available to clans on a premium but affordable cost;

    Clans will be able to set designated dispatchers and roles within their section.

    Clans will be able to put custom subject records into their own system (If someone were to roleplay as "Steven_Jones" they would be in the information b4 the roleplay so the dispatcher can actually pull up records).

    Clans will be able to put custom vehicle records into their database.

    Dispatchers will have their own section to keep track of units and calls.

    More to come!

    You can currently visit www.lspdfr-cad.com to visit our website and keep track of our progress!
