  1. I brought it up because it's a possibility that a patch could come out that could hurt mods. That's all that is known, since there are no other facts it's not worth discussing. Discussions never work without facts. Plus, it's getting off topic
  2. I didn't say it will happen, I said it might. Nobody knows what will happen, so there's no point in discussing it
  3. No one knows if a patch will come out and the damage it could cause. End of discussion
  4. It doesn't matter what is added in the update. If there's a problem in it that's significant enough (Especially if the problem hurts Online) then rockstar will fix it. That puts mods at risk again, which is probably bad timing for LSPDFR
  5. Oh no. My patch senses are tingling. If a lot of people are getting these lag spikes, guess what could come... a patch. A patch could REALLY do some damage to mods, and might take much longer to get everything fixed. It's also probably going to be horrible timing for LSPDFR if a patch is released. Let's hope this is not the case
  6. Have to admit though, it's hard to stay on topic with the lack of updates. If we got some common updates, no matter how undetailed, then we'd have more to discuss. Even something simple like "Everything went smoothly today" would work
  7. Oh yeah, I remember that post. And I also don't remember any reason for it to be hidden... P.S. Never be scared to defend yourself against the staff. You have the right, especially if the staff are wrong. They may have authority, but it means nothing if you did nothing wrong (And you did nothing wrong)
  8. Okay, so maybe my posts aren't helping. But neither are yours or anyone else who keeps talking about that argument. So, for the what feels like 400th time, can we stop arguing and talk about more important things like the fixed ScriptHook?
  9. For God's sake, why must I keep quoting myself? There isn't a thing right about your post. The community is not toxic, I'm yet to see any serious personal attacks, all arguments have been on topic, and LSPDFR related topics shouldn't be closed because of a silly little dispute. Okay, so maybe you got the useless banter part right, but that's it. For (Hopefully) the last time, the argument is over. It was short lived, and is being blown way out of proportion. If we could stop talking about that dumb argument, perhaps we can talk about something more important like mod recovery and whatnot
  10. Oh I can respect their opinion, I was just saying that the post is a little hypocritical. Or at least I thought it was Hmm, I noticed that you underlined and bolded the word free. I guess I saw that as a "The update is free so shut up and like it" kind of comment, since those are everywhere on this topic. Apologies, I could've sworn that was what that meant. Perhaps it didn't, either way I don't want to stir up more crap than I already have (Gotta admit though, I'm good at it. Isn't that right ineseri? ;D) Smiley face indeed
  11. Guys... what did I already say? The argument is over. No one is fighting anymore. In fact, your posts are just stirring up more stuff. Like this little comment: Hilarious that you don't want to see arguments, but then say something like this which could easily start one. While I would love to explain how free stuff doesn't automatically make it great, I'm not going to fuel the fire. I'd absolutely love it if you did the same
  12. Argument ended, war is over. Dunno why you're telling people to shut up and calm down
  13. Sorry meant to apologize to that person. I misread the post, I thought the person said something along the lines of "I got an early version of windows 10 that'll come out in July". A thousand apologies, just me being my dumb self as always :P
  14. For the last time, I don't mind the new stuff in the update. I don't think anyone does. It's the fact that rockstar could care less about single player that annoys me. Especially since there are proven ways to add the content without messing with mods They did not, since the update wasn't for stopping cheaters. If it was, mods would not be coming back P.S. This will be my last post in this argument, since this argument doesn't benefit anyone or anything. I have my opinion and others have their opinions, and we all have the right to our opinions. I respect all of your opinions, I just disagree with them
  15. As I said before, I don't mind the update and it's content. It's just that rockstar could easily make this update work without messing with modding. They have the resources, but they still don't care But they should care. They didn't have to change the hashes and DRM. They could do it another way, but they didn't because they only care about online
  16. I don't mind the update and it's content, it all looks cool. What I do mind is how rockstar doesn't care about the millions of people who play and enjoy single player everyday. It's not about what Rockstar wants, it's about what the gamers want
  17. This update wasn't about cheats. Mods will come back, and so will cheats. And as for those "wonderful free dlc's":
  18. That free content just screwed over thousands of people. Rockstar only cares about Online, anything else is left in the dust. It shouldn't be about what they care about, it should be what the gamers care about since gamers are the ones buying and playing the game
  19. I'm not talking about other companies. I'm saying that rockstar is getting more corrupt by the day. And that's what I'm so pissed about. Rockstar should care more about the gamers than money. But they don't, which really gets under my skin
  20. It's not about how modding will come back. It's about how rockstar only cares about 2 things: themselves and money
  21. That is true, I can agree with no mods in online. But this update wasn't really meant to stop those who abuse mods. If it was, they would've REALLY messed things up That it is. I wonder why rockstar would do this, if anything mods have helped the game. Sure, some people use mods online, but rockstar should've done something about that a long time ago. They could easily make it so that when online is launched, the game looks in the directory for any incorrect files. But instead, they hurt more people than they help
  22. This update wasn't about stopping online modders, if it was then rockstar would've REALLY messed things up. I'm just mad about how rockstar stabbed the modding community in the back after all the mods that were made. Especially since rockstar has the resources to make the update work without messing with mods
  23. Then why did they break single player? There are other ways to have this update without messing with thousands of mod loving players. I think they just lied when they said they support modding, because they would stab the modding community in the back for any amount of money in a second
  24. Thing is, Rockstar deserves all the crap people are giving them. Why don't they care about single player? It's half of their game. It's extremely important. That's like having 2 kids and only caring about one. What really hurts is that they went out of their way to make sure mods don't work. They could've added this content without screwing with the hashes and DRM. They have the resources to have this update without messing with mods, but instead they stab the modding community in the back. We help make the game better, and they reward us by messing with community creations. This update hurt more people than it helped. Shame on Rockstar
