Here is a video I did. A lot of the call outs/traffic stops turned in to shoot outs. I called it shots fired for that reason. Right before I was recording this,I got one of the random car chase events we all thought was gone. I had to think for a sec on what to do, of course I pressed E to join the pursuit. I will admit I think this was the worst I have ever done with regards to being shot at.

hm can't decide between the Alienware or the Asus, if was me though, I would probably lean more towards the Asus. My current laptop is an Asus and I have to admit, out of all of the ones I have had, it has been the most reliable one. I know Alienware is supposed to be best when it comes to gaming, but I have never been a big fan of Dells, so that may cloud my judgment a little.

I would try hitting p (just P) again and see of that helps. It turns on/off definition something (drawing a blank right now of what it is really called). I heard others have had problems with that. If that fixes it you can change that key in the settings of the game so it wont happen. I have never saw any problems with it so I never messed with the settings for that. That's where I would start.

Lanzfeld every now and then I will see a lot of the same cars as well, for the most part it looks like it did in the video. though I am bad with the high poly cars since I have 5 modded cars now (police,police2,noose,fbi and polpatriot). wait make that 6 almost forgot about the ambulance. One thing that is maybe different is I'm using ELS V5. V6 seemed to cause to many issues. From a system stand point mine is i7 960, 12GB RAM and a GTX570. The car I am using is this one As far as the taxi bug, right now the only thing I have running is mod called traffic load.

aww yes this one ... Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable installed: False Even though you have a 64bit OS you need to install the Visual C++ 2010 32 bit version as well. I had that problem before as well. GTA4 and LCPDFR are 32bit apps so it requires the 32bit version of C++.

Like Iconography said it wont matter. The reason it is set up that was so you could tell if an application was 64bit. 64bit will be in program files where as 32bit will be in x86 directories. Also I think this is more for the registry then anything. 32bit apps have there own logical registry where app data is stored.

I have the same issue, there are a handful of call outs then it stops. I get call outs often thanks to Iconography ini file suggestion, but after a while they stop. I did find a temporary fix though. When I do an forced call out (alt f11), it starts working again. I hope that helps.

Looks like amazon has this for pre-order already. Sadly though its only for PS3 and Xbox. I don't know if this will be another history repeating it self or not. meaning PC will have to wait another 4 or so months again like we did for IV. Hopefully they won't go the route as they did with Red dead something . I have an xbox so I guess I'd still be able to play somewhat. Not sure why but after playing so long with a keyboard and mouse, the controller and I don't get along lol

All I can say is WOW !!!!!! I can hardly wait now... We only got a glims of the one of the cop cars it did not look all that impresive. Which seems odd since all of the other cars look really nice. I like the 1st part of it where the top was going down on the convertable. Not sure if that will be an option this time or not, but that would be really cool.

hard to say, I mean LA would be good, but um Vegas would be even better. Though I can't tell if I'm wanting to play it in Vegas or my current desire for Vegas play trip that affecting my decision ... hm Maybe I'll have to just head to Vegas then decide.

lordvalinar mine is a crown voc you get it and even some impalas @ www.gtapolicemods.com I don't have any impalas, but you should be able to fine one there you like

Maybe I'll try it with plan ol GTA. if nothing else I'll just restore from back up. 8-) I will say it didn't look good at all when I tried out the SA mod. that had ICE installed.

I have been playing with the fuel mod, and it has a speedometer along with the fuel gauge. Still on the fence weather I like it or not. One thing to note though if you try it, remember to use ctrl r to start the car, other wise you are going no where. On thing I do like though is that you can shut the car off while in it, might be good for speed traps. I used to be a DJ and did a lot with audio files, so I used to use Ubuntu Studio and liked it a lot. It also had a lot of support for video stuff as well. I have tried the newer versions of Ubuntu and will agree the interface takes some getting used to, especially if you are a regular Linux user. I have Ubuntu installed now. There was another one I liked really well which was Fedora. I am thinking of going back to Fedora here soon. I changed to Ubuntu when I found the studio version. I would try them both out and see which one you like better. Both are good, though they are based on different forms of Linux. Ubuntu is a Debian system, where as Fedora is a Red Hat system. The biggest difference is the package manager. (and few others). At least that would be my $.02

I did some more videos. I plan on doing some with cometary in the near future. I'm still trying to find a gaming headset. Who knew picking one out would be so difficult. If any one has one they use and love let me know. I will check them out as well. Though right now I think the Logitech G 35 is winning.
