  1. hm if you could hold out and save a few more dollars the Nvidia GTX 570 seems to be only 60 more dollars at this time. ( wow still can't believe how much I spent on that card last year) Not sue how that translates to ponds though. If not the GTX 560 would be within that range and is a really nice card as well. and will do nicely with GTA.
  2. anywhere between 50-80 on high settings Intel i7 960 (3.20 GHz) 12GB DDR3 Nvidia GTX 570 1280MB
  3. The part that caught my eye was 2012-01-03 16:31:03 - Direct3D device lost! 2012-01-03 16:31:04 - SCRIPTS TERMINATED! Looks like the scripts can't access video memory so it terminates. As far what is causing it, there are a lot of reasons for it one could be your out of video memory. What you can do though is try to restart the scripts go into the console by pressing the ~ key. Then type reloadscripts <enter> You go go back into the station if everything starts properly.
  4. Although I have never had this happen, I suspect it's because when transport spawns, most of the time they do it with the lights/siren on. Which could be why ELS caused that. Its possible that when it didn't crash, were the times they would come without their lights on.

  6. I could be wrong, but to me it sounds like a Code 3
  7. hm wondering if it's because you have them both installed ? It should be one or the the other. For the heck of it I ran it on my laptop which uses xlive, and it picked it up. 8. Right click on the file and uncheck the read only box. You may have to change the security settings. in the same window click the security tab and then edit button just give users or everyone full control. If not sure what to do by that option B would be to copy it to your desktop, then edit it and move it back to the scripts folder.
  9. shift will pull people over, you can press shift tab to see all the keys and their function.
  10. right click on the short cut and select run as administrator or select properties on the compatibility tab at the bottom check the run this program as admin.
  11. sigh..... Not acording to this ..... GTA IV - Version: 1, 0, 0, 0 it should read GTA IV - Version: 1, 0, 7, 0
  12. I would start with updating the game to the lastest patch. http://support.rockstargames.com/entries/484496-grand-theft-auto-iv-patch-7-title-update-v-1-0-7-0-english-1-0-6-1-russian-1-0-5-2-japanese
  13. Opps my bad. I moved my gtaIV.exe file and it failed. However I did find another solution. you can either copy the gtaIV.exe file into the sparkIV folder ,or I bet if you put the spark files into your root GTA directory it will work too. I tested by moving my gtaIV.exe file into the sparkIV directory and it worked again.
  14. I'm not sure why you can't use sparkIV just because you moved the files ? All it is doing is opening a file. Now you may not be able to use the browse feature, but you should be able to use the open button and select the file you want to open. I tested this for the heck of it. All of my backup files are on my server. I was able to open the vehicle.img file on it. So it opened a file that's not even on my computer without any issues. You should be able to do the same.
  15. OK, I will say this if it starts to happen a lot and you want to try and keep your modded cars, I would try ELS v5. ELS v6 seems to be a bit buggy. I would crash after 20 minutes or so, sometimes less when I used it. After switching back to v5, I can play for hours without crashing. That's my 2 cents anyhow.
  16. It would be just the paint job.
  17. Do you have any car mods or are using ELS ?
  18. Your welcome. BTW Break has a good point too. I have mine set to ChanceCrimeIsComittedMultiplier = 90 DelayBetweenCalloutsMinSeconds = 5 DelayBetweenCalloutsMaxSeconds = 30 So when I am getting call outs its like .91 was, well sometimes I wanna say leave me alone lol
  19. if you really want to do this, though it can take some time you can edit the popcycle file located C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\common\data. Here is the default values / Weekday // // #Peds #Scenario #Cars #prkdcrs PercCopCars PercCopPed 15 15 12 25 3 0 15 15 12 25 3 0 15 15 12 25 3 0 you can increase #Cars and lower the percentage of cops. Make sure you back the file up before editing. If your system cant handle the additional cars there is a chance your game will crash. keep in mod though if you lower the cops on the street, it will lower the # of back up units when you need them.
  20. Default is alt R and since I'm to lazy to type this out (copied from above) You can also press the numpad keys (2, 4, 6 and 8 I believe) to move to radar as well as numpad + and numpad - to increase the diameter.

    Shots Fired

The car in the video is this one http://gtapolicemods.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=9 Its an older model, but its the best one I can find with a code 3 2100. I know there was a newer AST version, but that one the red and blue colors are to faint. They almost look white. Since I'm using my local PD skins, they have 2100s, so that's why I'm drawn to that particular light bar. As far as damage modelling, by that you mean can it be damaged ? If so yes it can be as long as the lights are off.
  22. You can press alt F11 to force a call out. One thing I've noticed is that after doing so they start working again. So you can do that to get a few more call outs. There may come a time when they stop again, so in this case you can rinse and repeat. Hope that helps.
  23. I'm sorry to say this, but your system doesn't have the requirements needed to run LCPD-FR. Heck to be honest I believe the requirements for GTA alone was a dual-core processor.
