  1. Well, my first day of 2015 started off pretty bad. Woke up 3 hours too late, and my parents didn't even bother waking me up. Yes, I did have 3 alarms set, but knowing me, that won't get me out of bed. Now my whole day schedule is messed up. Well, guess I'll just go play some games to dry the tears!
  2. We unfortunately had no champagne. Or Oliebollen (dutch snack). So, meh. But the family sat together and we talked some, watched some fireworks. I guess my plans for now are to play lots of games! Oh, wait. I always do that anyway.
  3. ENB is one of the most powerful graphical enhancers around when it comes to lighting. Reverting back to vanilla is easy. There's one .dll file that's required for the ENB to load. Remove that, and the game won't even see it's there. As for the other files, as long as you saved the ENB somewhere, or if you can trace it back online, you can just check what files are installed. Oh, and always make sure you back up about-to-be-replaced files
  4. Work harder in college and play less games, do more productive things (excluding artsy stuff since that's my hobby too.) LIES, LIES!.
  5. Nothing! Because I don't have any money. Someone was nice enough to buy me Shadow of Mordor though. So I'm happy about that!
  6. I changed it to be Down + Right stick, but that still doesn't explain how I'm supposed to switch to the other tabs via my controller. In fact, I don't even know how to do it on the keyboard!
  7. Reinstalling or verifying your game cache probably won't do any good. I tried it all. I'm also getting the exact same kind of crashes, only in my case it's usually related to a "System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object." error. I think it has to do something with NPC cops arresting people, because it usually seems to happen not very long after that. I've yet to solve it though. No idea what's causing it. Turning off Ambient Scenarios only seems to extend the playtime before it crashes, but eventually still leads to a crash.
  8. How would this work on a controller? I can't seem to find a way to switch tabs. I honestly liked the radial menu a lot more. It's much easier to navigate, even though the current look of it is pleasant to look at. -- As for my experience with 1.0d. In the last hour or two it has been kind of... Crappy, to say the least. I appreciate the new features, and it's nice and everything, but the thing that sucks is that I still get exactly the same errors as with 1.0c. I figured out that one of them is probably caused because of certain peds being removed by the game before LCPDFR can take ownership of them or something, and the other one being that I get a random error and script crash whenever an NPC officer makes an arrest. At least, I assume it's because of that, since it happened very soon after I watched an NPC arrest someone. I'm starting to think I will never get to enjoy the mod as a whole because of these issues. The new features are cool though.
  9. Unfortunately still getting the same errors as 1.0c... Probably even more. And the new QAM is a bit confusing and doesn't seem to work very well on my controller. It looks nice though. Ah well, it was worth a shot!
  10. Guess I should consider myself lucky then! I don't know how much hair I would pull out of my head if I could only play for 30 minutes, out of frustration.
  11. It does run on the same engine, but a lot has been redone. Let's just hope modding the game won't be too difficult!
  12. Any chance of getting a non-installer version? Not too fond of the installer...
  13. Is there any guarantee that the next version of LCPDFR will be... How can I say this, less crashy-crashy, and more play? The amount of errors I've been getting even after a reinstall, and isolating the mod from any other mods is ridiculous. Seems difficult to play for more than 2 hours without something messing up. I realize it's no easy task, and I really appreciate all the time put into it. I enjoy the mod thoroughly when it works. I'm just worried about how buggy the next version will be, and what random bugs we'll encounter then. Please know that I am in no way complaining. I'm just a little afraid of knowing that there's a possibility it may never work right. That's to say I am excited for the next version, though. Just wish there wasn't so much that could go wrong! *points at Rockstar*
  14. I gave it a 4. Mostly because I'm generous. There's lots of room for improvement. The random errors, the incompatibility with other mods, even designed to work with LCPDFR just makes me not want to play. For now I've turned off random world events in Policehelper as well as Ambient Scenarios for LCPDFR, just to avoid the most common errors. Still, I get random script crashes which force me to reload, or even restart the game. All these issues aside though, I do think that conceptually, LCPDFR is easily the best mod created for GTA IV, ever. Here's to hoping that the next version will be more stable, and more compatible with other mods.
  15. Well, When it comes to this stuff, it's all hocus pocus for me. However, I do know that for the "System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object." error you can try setting "PreloadAllmodels" to True in the LCPDFR .ini file. It should be located in C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonGrand Theft Auto IVGTAIVLCPDFR if you have the Steam version. I'm getting the random Error Hash things too though. Shortly after I get it, the game crashes. I think it's a known bug.
  16. Except that most of the time they just slam into the side of your car, killing you and your partner.
  17. Just wanted to jump in on the FPS bit. I personally play on a locked 30 fps. While 60 fps feels and looks much smoother, 30 fps weirdly feels just fine for GTA. At least for me. The good part about having the game locked at 30 fps is that there's no oddities going on in the physics of the game, like you see in some other games and my performance is always decent. Have you tried playing on 30 fps? It may be beneficial, especially if you want to mod a lot of the game. Once you get used to it in GTA, it's actually quite fine.

  19. I love this, although I have a weird texture bug going on. On a lot of cops the hands are pale, and the white/black sleeves on T-shirts are all skin colored. That, and I'm having wrist seams on fat cops. It's a real shame, because I really want this to work!
  20. Yes please. I would throw you money if I had any.
  21. When it's not crashing or glitching.
  22. I'm aware of that. But I'm assuming OP has custom models as well.
  23. I'm not too bright on all of this stuff, but my guess would be that unless the cruiser and patrol cars are actually replaced, they won't show up as you want.
  24. Not sure where to post this, but here goes. For a while now I've been thinking. It's always so boring to shoot someone's tires out. All it does is slow the target down, instead of apprehending them. What if there's some mod that allows for a chance of a dramatic, cinematic car-flip happening when the tires get shot out? Or at least not until the empty tire comes off. Like so, minus the explosions:
