My goal is to play LCPDFR. I play all my GTA games themselves on my console. Here is where I am stuck, I don't play any games on my PC. I really like LCPDFR after watching all of the videos on YouTube but I do not want to spend $500 just to play this game so I am absolutely stuck.

It's a computer a friend had. My old PC died, I have a wife out of work. A guy at work gave me his GTA IV game to play but I have not even attempted to install and play because I know this computer is not the greatest. So bare with me, I am not very knowledgable with PC's & I know there are numerous threads like this one but this is a tad more specific. So after looking at GTA IV, everything meets spec to play except for my video card and of course CPU. CURRENT: ~ Radeon X800 ~ Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E6750@2.66Ghz RECOMMENDED: ~Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz Now my question is this, if I get a much better video card, will that take care of the issue & my original not that big of an issue OR does the CPU truly have to be updated? I just looked up some of that stuff. That is $1000+ just to play 2 games. That kind of money is what I am looking to avoid lol.

So the 4gig of memory is fine for GTA as well? I do have the FSX Acceleration pack which is awesome. I would love to add more planes to it as well. What is your opinion on X-Plane 10?

So I am pretty sure my PC is basic. Here is what I am trying to do, the ONLY game I play right now is FSX. I am really interested and want to play LCPDFR but here is the deal, the ONLY games I will play is FSX & LCPDFR so I don't want to spend tons of cash on a PC in order just to play 2 games. So are there things I can upgrade on my current one OR is my current PC too basic to even upgrade certain parts? When we had the Code 3 with the intersection sweep, those bars were great.

What other sites is there for LCPDFR to DL items?

Are there pre-designed patrol cars to download or do I need to design all of my cars? Sorry, I am very new to this so excuse me in advance if some of my questions seem stupid lol. I am not good at designing and don't have huge computer skills. I can hold my own but I am not the best by far. Thanks in advance. -Rob

Thanks guys! I am still reading and researching. I want to have a solid game but not looking to crash my PC either, so I don't know what to download and what not to. I definitley want a radar and nice detailed cars (wig wags, strobes etc) but on the same token I am not sure how many I can DL without doing that lol. I would like a busy city but AGAIN, I don't want to overload the PC as well. -Rob

I have noticed that there are 2 different versions of a radar for the cars. Any one you recommend over the other?
